My son who had been stabbed in Colombia was hospitalised for 6 days.
He is in a poor state of health and has still received no support from Staysure or a translator as requested.
I had to send a copy of his medical reports to a Uk hospital to translate to find out his diagnosis.
I made over 20 phone calls yesterday to insurance and embassy.
To gain some clarification I rang the non emergency Staysure in UK to ask for clarification of his policy and was told by Grace that he would need to provide Power of Attorney documentation to speak to me due to data protection. Even though I spoke to an advisor there 4 days ago! .
Grace said he would need to find a third party or solicitor to get this.!!
Yes I'll just ask him to find an English speaking solicitor , pay money he hasn't got while trying g to recover!
You couldnt make this up!
He is seriously ill. A solo traveller and is being told to leave his accommodation Thursday as they have no more room.
Have staysure helped. NO.
He had to return to the hospital yesterday due to negligence and had to pay money again.

I am more disgusted by your unprofessionaliam and what I see as corrupt lack of accountability than I am at the actual stabbing.

One of the best Travel Insurance sites I’ve used, easy simple website. Over seventy with medical history but came up with excellent prices with good cover, cheaper than the so called top provider I used earlier this year.
Found a policy suited our needs with a well known , highly rated insurer. Very pleased.

Missed out on 5 stars because we didn’t get a promised call back. Ended up completing it on line.

Buying travel insurance online was really easy and the quotes, considering my medical history, were cheaper than I'd expected. As I haven't travelled yet, I don't know how easy it would be to make a claim - hopefully I will never need to find out!

Your sales person Sam was very well spoken and clear in all her questions. At the end the quotation was acceptable (especially in these days of high inflation)definatly 4 stars.

Easy to use and great for value money

Good service. However since sending in this review I have encountered an annoying problem getting the portal to work. It freezes and attempts to get the documents sent as PDF attachments failed despite your agent’s efforts. Must reconsider 5 star rating

Not a great company, bought a premium package for our honeymoon, we could never have predicted a Pilot Strike in the middle of Africa, stuck on an island and had to spend a fortune on flights with another airline to get home....sorry sir your insurance does not cover this, nasty company and very unhelpful, don't give them your money, go to a reputable outfit, will never use again!
