It was a cold night on 30th May 2016; pathetic fallacy clung ironically within the breeze and a shudder traveled through my bones as I ordered an LG G3 from simplyelectronics.net. The signs were all there - already that day a withered and ungainly gentlemen informed me that I would be wronged by demons beyond my control that same day, however I presumed he was referring to the spicy burrito I'd consumed at lunch time.

At first nothing seemed amiss beyond my bowel movements. Simply electronics immediately took all of my money from a company called 'skrill' and I can only assume they began diligently processing my order like busy little worker bees, somewhere within the borough of Londininum. I had heard many tales about the county of London and had one day hoped to travel there to look upon their jewels, westminster abbeys and spectacular dancing circus-goblins.

The sun set after my first week of waiting. During the first few days I had fashioned a small 'cubby' hole into the brick work near my front door as I eagerly awaited the arrival of my new phone and it had become a handy seated area. It wasn't long into the second week before I had carved both a cup holder and foot rest into the same space, like an all-in-one man cave. This allowed me to sit for many hours with reasonable comfort. Most of my time was either spent whittling the inner areas of my new confines near the door, or anticipating what my imminent phone would look like and imagining where it might be in the processing stages at simplyelectronics HQ.

I could tell that two weeks had passed due to the carvings I had etched into my new 'wall home'; 14 etchings marked the dawn of the fortnight and the weather had improved significantly. This was a pleasant change from the endlessly cold breeze which had been bracing the cat flap near my feet. Concerned for my mental well-being, one of my neighbours checked the status of my phone order online. It appeared there had been some sort of delay, but my account highlighted that the team had prioritised my order and were doing their best to get this delivered as soon as possible. An email into their customer support also confirmed that they had received a large influx of orders and as soon as humanly possible, my phone would be leaving their ornate palatial warehouse to my front door where I would be waiting with open arms. Filled with relief, I started a new project in my hovel which meant I needed to carve an improved drainage system. The water closet and hygiene facilities (although within the same building) had become a daunting challenge to reach at the precipice of my stairs mostly because my legs had become shrivelled useless tassles attached to my malnourished frame. The wall hole I had now become accustomed to was my world.

30 wall etchings had passed which meant we were possibly entering a different month or season or trimester. Dates, times, schedules, urination; these were by now inconsequential burdens of a life I had left long behind. I had formed a new language with the stray cats beyond my front door (thank the gods for my cat flap entry!) who brought several birds and mice for me to eat daily. In return I swore to craft tiny hiking boots and armour for a cat army which they were forming. I was never introduced to their queen or of a noble rank to be enlightened as to their plans, but one night I did overhear Imperator Furiosa and Mittens discussing an attack of land called 'Ambrosia'. When I strained and stretched to hear more, my frail body collapsed onto the floor and the cats scattered in all directions. I cursed my stupidity. When the cats had formed a new civilization in Ambrosia I was destined to become their interpreter. This slip-up may have ruined my chances, D'oh!

A man came. 43 etchings. I adjusted my pillow (hessian sack full of rocks) and turned towards the front door. Bright shards of light pierced the bronzed receptacle surrounding the letter box. Post! It was post! Oh my god, blessings of Shevah and Ganesh! Post glorious post!! I dragged my lame limbs from my permanent fixture at the wall hole to the new item which had just appeared. Sweating and bleary-eyed I clutched at the letter on the floor. Letter? This was no phone. In my past life as a full humanoid I had seen phones and this was too thin to be one of those. I tore at the corners to reveal paper, words, red numbers. It was all too confusing. All I could make out was the large stamp 'final payment due' and 'eviction notice'. None of it made sense.

Having used an exorbitant amount of energy to extricate myself from good 'ol 'wally', I decided to bite the bullet and finally contact my bank. They were really good and got my money back from Skrill/simplyelectronics within 3 days.

In short, my experience was one of wondrous intrigue and excitement. I developed a whole new range of crafting techniques and made lots of new friends (albeit with felines). Yes I lost my home and the use of my legs and my identity and my will to live, but on the bright side...cats.

Ordered an Apple Watch for my daughters birthday present, a month latter still no delivery, several emails requesting delivery dates, they couldn't give (wouldn't give) any anticipated delivery date, so I cancelled the order. A month after cancellation, still no refund, lots of email exchanges all will excuses, "wait a few days"' "system problems" etc. But still no sign of money, theses are by far the worst internet trading company I have ever used.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY IS SOMETHING GOES WRONG, YOU MAY ENCOUNTER DIFFICULITES GETTING RESOLUTION.

Ordered an Samsung S7 edge as it was the cheapest wanted it for my husbands birthday and was told it would arrive in 10 days. When I phoned 5 days later I was told it would be at least another 10 days so I cancelled the order and asked for a full refund which I was told would be up to 7 days. That was 4 weeks ago and still no refund. Have phoned every couple of days to be told refund will be with me in two to three days. No refund do passing on to my bank to sort out.

Well I bought an Apple Watch and after a month I cancelled it 5 weeks and I have not yet got a refund I went to the Apple Store and I got one on the spot just get somethings for a little more and avoid this company

ordered i phone 6s plus on 08/05/2016 as the price was lower compared to other websites with out reading the reviews - BIG MISTAKE.
didn't get the product even after 4 weeks an when i asked for cancellation i was told that they would still want to process my order and they offered a free pen drive. but i decided to cancel the order anyway and i was told i would be getting the refund soon. but after 4 weeks of cancelling the order i haven't got any money. i contacted my bank HSBC , who gave me my money the next day and they said they will be contacting the company for refund.
i bought the same phone on johnlewis website and got it in 3 days!! (the price was high obviously but i didn't have to go through this mental torture.)
this has been the worst and painful experience and i would avoid this company at any cost.
so please stay away form this company.

Purchased a mobile phone. Within an hour i had changed my mind so cancelled my order by email from their website (as the item had not been shipped and they seem to pride themselves on a 30 day money back guarantee). Received a confirmation email straight away, stating a response within 1 working day. Received an email 4 days later asking me if i would still like to cancel my order (citing shipping delays, even though they quoted that i had asked to cancel). Confirmed i would still like to cancel and sent 3 more emails over the next 6 days. I called and was told that my emails had not arrived (even though i had responded to the same email) and was told that i would receive a refund within 5-7 working days. Nearly 2 weeks later rang and was told there was an issue with the payment gateway. Needless to say the matter is now in the hands of my credit card company....

I ordered a phantom 3 on June 12th and paid £329.95. I decided to order as it was the cheapest price I found and with the 10 day deliver promise I thought I would treat my husband as he has always wanted one.

On June 22nd when it still hadn't arrived I had an email saying it was on priority despatch and should arrive shortly and to watch my account for an update - which I did !

Update after update stated - on priority - now upgraded - then stock being checked and merchandise checked etc

I have emailed almost every day since to be sent the SAME AUTOMATED EMAIL over and over again.

It is now 14th July and still nothing has been received even when I phoned them last week and the promised I would have it this week. Phone again today to be told it would be next week - so I have cancelled the order ! Asked how long a refund would take and the woman hung up on me. I have now requested that my bank look into this as it all seems a bit unreal to me.

Word of advice - DONT BOTHER - spend the extra £20 and get it from somewhere else !!

cheap product. Very very slow delievery

I ordered a tablet for delivery 5th May for 2-3 days delivery, it never arrived, I was promised a number of times it would be dispatched but was out of stock!

I still never received it, even after chasing daily, I cancelled the order 26th May and have been chasing for a refund ever since.

All emails are copied and pasted saying that it will be resolved, it’s on high priority but nothing!

It’s now the 14th July and I still have no refund! I have begged and pleaded but they are con artists, they do not have the goods and will never be shipping them!

It is the worse website and experience I have ever had! I recommend this website be shut down, they are utterly unprofessional, bad business doesn’t seem to cut it somehow!

From start to finish shockingly poor. Ordered a canon 100-400 mk2 lens way back in the latter part of May. Nothing got delivered and excuse after excuse for nearly 4 weeks I cancelled the order and asked for a refund. It's now the middle of July and still no refund!!!!!! I call and email every other day and it's the same excuse "please give us a few more days" well I think 3 weeks is plenty for a refund. Customer service is an absolute ZERO, they are based in HONG KONG and not the UK. The women on the customer service team sound like drones and have no grasp on customer relations. I'd advice the management to retrain the entire team. AVOID AT ALL COSTS AVOID AVOID AVOID....!!!!!!

I ordered a DJI drone it came after weeks it was then i realised the firm is based in Hong Kong. The drone was faulty I thought I could get my money back but it took weeks of emails and 3 day responses to allow me to send it back now they have my £350 drone and my money and no answers to my emails the web sites blanked out and they have had it back for 2 weeks
This company sucks please do not buy from them just because they are a bit cheaper. We did and got ripped off

It is going to be slow.
You will part with your money and wait for 3 or 4 weeks. but you will get your product.
There will be a lot of updates to your order status, and when you finally get your tracking number it will be less than a week until your delivery.

the site makes out its a uk site or the goods are in the uk. 3-5 days to dispatch, but when i placed the order i receive an email stating delivery 10 days from dispatch!! fuming!!! then it arrives late, the packaging is badly damaged, the instructions are in japenese, the plug is a two pin with a naff adaptor. the screen protector only fills half the screen. endless emails but leah sends pathetic replies and not one tiny bit of giving a damn. money grabbing company that has the poorest customer service i have ever used, avoid like the plague is my advice

Great price but lack of information and tracking so delivery seems to take a long time .
Should be able to track in real time.

I read the reviews on this company after I had placed my order and clearly they made me somewhat nervous however let me just report my experience. I placed the order on 27th June and it has been delivered today 13th July, that makes it 17 days for a delivery. Not very quick but not outrageously slow either; let me give you the pluses, firstly of course there is the price and secondly my emails were answered very quickly, like within an hour or so, when I emailed to enquire on progress and once the goods had been dispatched I had a tracking number and was able to follow its progress. I have read other reports saying these people are scammers, that is rubbish, yes they are slow and somewhat formulaic in their responses but logically if payments are accepted by credit or debit card there can be no question of a scam as the money is safe, Would I buy from them again? Yes I would; although next time I would be aware of the extended delivery time. I hope this helps bring a little balance.

They never provided the goods and two months later I am still waiting for a refund of over £600! They are simply a bunch of crooks based in Hong Kong.

In short, this has been an unnaceptable and terrible experience! I decided to buy a new mobile and placed the order as the phone was in stock. Initially told order would be shipped in a few days. Then was told over a month that there were problems with shipping but item would be shipped asap.... this went on and on and on.... In the end I decided to cancel and requested a refund! I have now waited 2 weeks after requesting a refund and no refund forthcoming just promises and various timescales provided around when it will be processed! Lots of apologies but no action that I can see. This is not acceptable. I strongly recommend going elsewhere!

Despite the overwhelmingly negative reviews I have previously ordered from Simply Electronics with no problems in the past, so decided, since they had an excellent price, to order a DSLR camera for my wife's birthday. They had 3 weeks to get me the camera, it was in stock on the website and the order page stated it would ship within 2-5 business days. It's now 2 and a half weeks later and the camera still hasn't shipped...

At various points they have blamed high order volume or stock being in another warehouse, however throughout the entire process the order page has shown the camera is in stock and available to ship within a couple of days. In the days of next-day delivery, it's simply unacceptable to offer such a poor service and expect to compete.

I have to say they have been very responsive to emails querying the order, which is why this is a 2 star rather than 1 star review.

I ordered an expensive camera online. (£1,500).
There was no communication about delivery and I had to chase them up. Eventually I was pointed to the courier service website which hadn't been updated. Then a couple of days later it said it had been delivered and signed for that day when no parcel had arrived. I called Simply Electronics and they said they would pass the query to their logistics department. It has now been over a week and I have heard nothing. I also phone the courier which was a French company and no one there speaks English. Fortunately the parcel had been delivered to another address in my road - number 64 instead of 164, and the honest person at that address checked to see if it was our parcel. Very poor customer service, no ownership of the issue, will never use them again.

I came across the Simply Electronic website which looked very professional and offered my product at a very competitive price. So decided to place an order.

I initially had problems with my credit card being accepted on line, so I rang the Office to place the order. When I realised I was ringing Hong Kong, and there was no background noise in the Office, no telephones ringing, I started to become nervous. Having visions a lone person was trading from their lounge ! I then read some of the reviews which were not at all positive to say the least, as lead times appeared to be a big problem.

Six days later I received a communication that my order had been dispatched and upon arrival in the U.K I could track the order. Bang on 14 days my order arrived at my home well packaged and not damaged. I should have had more faith. So far pleased with the product, price and service.
