0 stars absolute joke
Parked for an hour. Charged £170. Comedy gold, if it wasn’t actually happening.
We parked in a Melton Mowbray car park that proudly advertised “1st hour free!” — lovely, we thought. Perfect for taking the kids to the park. No disabled bays and no Blue Badge exemptions, but hey, we figured we’d brave it and wheel our 12-year-old in a wheelchair over the scenic little bridge. One hour of wholesome family fun. Back to the car — bang on time. Off we go.
All sounds reasonable so far, right?
A few weeks later, I get a parking charge. Apparently, we hadn’t paid. Odd — since we literally didn’t have to. The sign said free. The app said free. The PCN even admitted we stayed exactly an hour (I think it said 2:55–3:55, give or take). So I appealed, assuming it was just a bit of admin chaos over at Premier Park HQ. Easy fix. Or so I thought.
Fast forward to July — an email lands. The appeal has been rejected. Yes, the first hour is free. Yes, we only stayed an hour. But we still owe them £20. For what, exactly? Air usage? Wheelchair rolling fee? No idea. But, in a generous twist, they’d let me off lightly if I just coughed up the £20.
I politely declined. Naturally.
Next comes a £170 debt recovery letter and a threat of legal action. Excellent escalation. I rang the recovery agency (Premier still don’t answer phones), and they confirmed — with what I assume was a straight face — that I had indeed stayed 1 hour and 42 seconds. Yes, forty-two seconds. That’s the punchline, folks.
Apparently, those extra seconds were enough to cancel the free hour and trigger the fine.
I've now requested civil court proceedings, and have recordings of the call confirming all of the above — because frankly, I can't wait to hear a judge say "42 seconds? Seriously?"
Premier Parking, you’ve outdone yourselves. Absolutely diabolical — and genuinely hilarious, if you enjoy farce.
I went to a place called Millendreath…
I went to a place called Millendreath beach to walk my dog and meet some friends. I paid for parking and left. I use this beach quite a lot for dog playing but at the time didn't realise the rules were different for the summer. I returned the next evening and did walk my dog on the beach. According to Premier Park I never left. I fail to understand how their camera conveniently catch you leaving when they want them to. I am a local and have no need or wish to stay in the carpark overnight with my Grandchildren who also live locally. Premier Park do not deserve 1 star they need to be struck off. This is not the 1st time this has happened locally and they get away with it some of the time.
I have tried to appeal with no response…
I have tried to appeal with no response and have tried to pay with no success. Fine ref:7866281
The car fine in question is a company car and was in the car park to use the EV charger which the driver did having no idea he had to register inside the adjacent pub as he was only there whilst connected to the EV charger and was already paying a premium price for the electric so didn't know he had to go into the pub and tell them.
Every time premier park write it goes firstly to the car lease company as they are the official owners, who then forward it to our registered company address (accountants) rather than us for some bizarre reason rather than ours. By the time they get it and one of the secretaries opens it and sends it over to me a few weeks have passed by since premier park issued the fine.
I have tried to pay and can't as the letter you sent on the 23rd of June was only received by us last night 14th July when it was scanned by the accountants office and emailed over to myself. So when I tried to pay again today it won't let me pay on the automated line it says they can't find us and that the fine has been escalated to the debt department. So I can't pay, I can't call as none of your numbers work and I cant email as the email addresses don't work and by the time the debt collectors write to the lease company and then the accountants I won't receive that letter for weeks to come. Surely there must be a number I can call or a way of finding the debt collection companies details?

DO NOT USE THEIR CAR PARKS
14.07.25 and still being hounded by this company. If there was an option to give a “minus” score I would.
I am still fighting an “alleged” parking charge from 2022. I will not pay the outrageous charges and refuse to be bullied by this company and the various “solicitors” who the alleged debt is passed on to.
Scam company.
The government need to stop this behaviour immediately.
Shocking company
Shcking company , no phone number , no reply to my appeal , just fine letters, bullies ! whats wrong with this country
Parked using my blue badge
Parked using my blue badge, making sure it was clearly visible because I could see a man taking photos of different cars.
When I received a parking fine a week later I was really shocked. There were two blurry pictures with the letter but on their website there were about twelve different pictures and in a few of them the blue badge could be seen.I appealed the fine and was turned down so appealed to POPLA.A few days later had an email to say it had been closed because I had paid the fine!
I definitely didn’t pay them anything.
I am sure POPLA’s decision would have been made in my favour and these sharks at premier park knew it.
First letter is from Debt Recovery...
Just received a letter from Debt Recovery Plus claiming I have been sent 3 previous letters from Premierpark (which I have not) so I now owe £170 for parking in what I thought was a free car park. There were no signs that either I nor my passenger could see & I have received no previous letters from Premier. These companies are clearly in league with one another to defraud the public as it looks like I am not the first to get scammed. What has happened to this country?
Lowlife company!
Scammers who are the lowest of the low! They'll target disabled driver bays if a tyre is 10mm on white line. Don't pay it! The threatening letters are just threats, it's the fear tactic!
Absolutely dreadful company
Absolutely dreadful company, a complete scam. I paid for a ticket and have the bank statement to prove it but the appeal was still rejected . Just preying on honest people, a total scam
A metal post and tree base IN THE BAY!
The bay having the base of a tree, and a metal post on the white line, meaning I had to park my vehicle to avoid both, means that I am eligible for a fine! Phenomenal. Appealed - rejected. Shocking company. The whole private parking industry needs shaking up, it's daylight robbery.
This company seems like a scam
This company seems like a scam. I paid for my parking and received a pcn of £60. When I appealed it they lowered to £20 and said I would have to pay. I already paid for my ticket and did not overstay the time. Looking at the number of negative reviews it appears this company are deliberately deceiving customers into paying.
This company is what I call bullies
This company is what I call bullies, and threatening to exploit money from society. The Government or law enforcement within the Labour party should stop this NOW, and force businesses like this to cease from operating.
I was sent a letter to state that I did not park within a space thus breaching the rules of the car park!. How can I park in a space which is outlined for smaller cars and trying to squeeze a bigger car next to another car who also didn't park within the lines as the width of the parking space is too narrow. JESS representative is the individual whom I dealt with and because I'm a normal person and wanted to cooperative paid the fine but as a principle, this is all wrong. Sir Keir Starmer please do something here and stop these organisations immediately and oh btw refund my £60 !!!! Nasty horrible company
Premier Park Limited - a disgraceful company
Premier Park Limited (PPL) coerced a fragile 75-year-old pensioner into paying £100 fine, after he proved the fine was in error because he was a customer and patron at the High Orchard in Gloucester - a Marstons pub. They are now making it so difficult for him to get a refund. I am writing to all their customers providing these details as I'm sure most would not want to be associated with a company that treats normal people in this way - especially pensioners. PPL - you should be ashamed of yourselves. Marstons has already been given a full account of your weak systems, unsavoury business practices, and appalling customer service. I have a long list - on to the next.
Fine sent in error, useless response
I get free parking through my gym and every time I register my vehicle on entry to the gym, I take a photo just in case.
I got sent a fine for apparently not paying on one date, however I have the photo on my phone showing I registered my vehicle.
This company does not accept appeals by email, so you have to use their online form, but if the fine has already been paid (by your lease company, as in my case), the online system still tells you to contact them ("Please contact us if you wish to enquire about this PCN", and "WE CURRENTLY ONLY ACCEPT APPEALS SENT USING THE ONLINE FORM BELOW OR SENT TO US BY POST"). They don't have a telephone number either. Ridiculous in 2025. I wanted to send them the photo file proving I'd registered my vehicle.
So the only option is by sending a letter, which of course costs money and takes a lot more time to arrange. I sent all the evidence by post, including the photo of the vehicle being registered, screenshots of the file metadata showing when the photo was taken, etc.
Most of their response was not relevant as it says I didn't pay (which I know already, as I don't need to pay since they have an agreement with my gym). They ultimately said "once the PCN has been paid, it cannot then be appealed". No advice on how to get it reversed. They should have apologised, explained why it happened, and contacted the lease company to arrange for the fine to be reversed. Instead, they made me waste time and money sending them a letter, their response was useless, and essentially said 'tough luck' despite it clearly being an error.
In summary: they sent me a fine in error, didn't admit it or investigate it, made me appeal by post costing me time and money, then rejected the appeal with no guidance on how to resolve. I don't know if it was due to a system error on their side or the gym. It's possible they deliberately sent the fine knowing it wasn't valid, and given their convoluted processes and useless response, I wouldn't be surprised because obviously making money (whether justified or not) is the only outcome they care about.
Always take photos and keep evidence. Otherwise you might have to deal with a company like this.
Stop sending mail to my address for…Mr Oscar John Williams
Stop sending mail to my address for someone unknown to me. I am over 80 due to glaucoma haven't driven for a number of years, I DO NOT OWN A CAR. I keep returning
Scamming deceitful company
Absolute rip off merchants. Parked in Capital Retail Park in Cardiff and subsequently received a charge for staying longer than three hours. I have never been in a retail park before that has a time limit on how long you can stay! I never saw any signs on entering or inside the car park to advise you of this, on doing a google street view search I see there is a very small sign at the roundabout where you enter the car park telling you about the three hour limit. I don't know how you are expected to read this whilst negotiating a busy roundabout when your main concern is observing other traffic. Surely there should be large signs inside the car park to advise you on the time limit. This is purely a means of scamming the shoppers out of their money by not clearly stating the terms for parking on this site.
Dishonest company with absolutely no…
Dishonest company with absolutely no scruples or integrity. Will never use again.
This company need to be stopped
Parked legally in Hope Cove - didn’t over stay my time - got issued with a fine . Appealed and sent evidence of said ticket - they still wanted to fine me because they said I hadn’t put in my reg properly - the machine never asked me to put in a registration !!!!! Have been hounded ever since with threats of court action - I hope they take me to court and as I was issued a ticket that I had paid for so the parking was valid - they won’t be seeing a penny from me .
Scam robbing company
Went to my local gym after work for a total of 90 mins. Received fined statement claiming I was in the carpark for 3hrs 48mins claiming my entrance time was when I was at work. The photo of the car entering and leaving does not have readable timestamps. This is a scam company that should be fined and shut down.
Poor
Poor, poor, poor. The operation is a scam and I feel for older customers
