Solo Highlights of Scottish Highlands
Gordon Ross our Tour Manager on my Highlights of the Scottish Highlands holiday in October 2026, was very knowledgeable about this area. He passed on interesting information on the places we visited and passed through.
It was a well organised trip away with a friendly and helpful tour manager (Gordon) and coach driver (John).
My last day would have been long and boring waiting for an evening flight and just staying in the hotel having checked out by 10am. Thankfully Gordon and John had organised an unscheduled trip up to the Cairngorms and the Isle of Bute. So the last day wasn't a wasted day and I had the opportunity to see more of the lovely area.
Good group of fellow travellers and excellent Tour Manager and driver made this a great few days away.

I had a wonderful week at Lake Como
I had a wonderful week at Lake Como. The tour managers Tarik and Fabrizio are lovely - very knowledgable, helpful and great company. I felt very well looked after. I really enjoyed the trips especially to Lugano although it was a long journey. The Griso Hotel is wonderful with lovely and helpful staff. The breakfast is fantastic and of course there are amazing views of the lake. Thank you for a lovely week.

Dream safari at elephant lodge south Africa ( bucket list )
Single mum with a young adult special needs for is 18 birthday .
Two incidents , crash into another jeep , then racing in the dark ended up with 2 passengers injured , eye & a whip to the leg bruises & cuts no medical care , no equipment medical aid at lodge .
newmarket dont care & head of customer services jill a nite mare of a person no understanding or empathy , just take your money & offer voucher of next trip with newmarket ( no thank you ) £500 lol
Dangerous & dont waste youre money on this safari its a money maker
Much better safari’s & safer places
No toilet rolls
& drink bill added to more than you drink , when challenged abusive staff & as a single parent scary
Miss trips as my son with autism as been hurt & scared , they would not help at all & he refused to go .
Which I'm glad as it was unsafe .
Dreadful company & I wouldn’t ever go again with newmarket !!!

Everything is tipping & made to feel embarrassed if you don’t
No privacy at meals .
Locked fridge in your room so no drinks & cashless facility so you have no choice but to agree to pay for extra drinks you never had else you got no drinks at all .
Worst holiday ever .
It was a relief to go home , just gutted as my boy who as special needs it was is 18 birthday present .
I am absolutely gutted wasted just over 5k .

Easy to book online. Bonus of early booking reduction plus holiday extras voucher for airport. Impressed by speed call was answered by customer service, less than two minutes! We now have extra of airport lounge access, great!

The contact I had with Claire when I was booking my trip was excellent from start to completion of the booking. She answered all my questions, called me back as and when arranged, made arrangements to change to an earlier flight time and made transfer arrangements.
