Maltafirstcarhire Recenzje

Bunch of scammers and not responsive by mail. heavily overcharged and no full disclosure on the website. Don't book here.

Tricky web site and not full disclosure. I would recommend using a car rental with an office were you can talk to agents prior to renting. Agent was shady and acting like mafia. I went to the vehicle for first time the tire was flat. They said deal with it.

Shown price during online booking €574 (rent). Actual price upon payment €660 (rent) + €244 (full insurance with only €375 reserved). Reserved €375 were returned even before we brought the car back. The car was in perfect condition and was exactly what we wanted (minivan with automatic transmission).

SCAMMERS - AVOID

>Website says all inclusive incl. collsion damage waiver (spoiler: it's not)
>Guy delivers car and says CDW is £20 a day else you are liable for a £2500 excess, this doubles the hire cost.
> I say, "No thanks, I'll insure that myself"
>Him: Oh dear! The £2500 block was refused on your card (my card has £15000 credit on it), only the £400 block will go through, so you will need to pay the £20/day
>Me (over a barrel at this point, I need the car): OK...

It gets worse: on return home, thay had charged another £110 for undisclosed reasons, I beleive this is the "return the car unfuelled" scam (it was a small hybrid, I used about £5 woth of fuel)

Dishonest from the start and if they were in the UK I would start proceedings against them. They rely on the fact that as a tourist you are unlikely to do ever this. Scammers and crooks.

Two times cancelled.Twice now I’ve reserved a car here, paid with my credit card, and then two hours later I’m told the booking has been cancelled. Then you have to start all over again looking for a car. I won’t be coming here anymore!

I would advise you as strongly as i6possibly can to NOT use this company to hire a car. I hired a car and a guy brought it to our hotel. He is a total scammer. When he used my card to pay for the car HE cancelled the transaction on his machine and tried to pretend that the bank wouldn't accept my credit card. He then tried to get extra money off me if I used my debit card. But HE had cancelled the transactions on my credit card, by slight of hand, but I saw him hit the cancel button on his hand held device. Total scam.

Found out on day of collection that they didn’t have a car for us. They didn’t inform us before.

Great service, no delays and good value for money really satisfied.

be very careful before you use this company. They are not honest. They took money from my credit card and did not provide a car and refuse to repay. They were also rude and aggressive. Avoid at all costs.

this is a terrible company and they will rip you off. They are completely dishonest and will charge you a fortune. avoid at all costs

Do not use they scam
They say they have there own fleet of cars and put you into a kwl company they are broker. They charge me a faulty sat nav software not updated refuse to refund. Charge you more than agreed price by 100% use a bigger company like hertz alot better pay a little more for better quality cars and service.

Reasonable price for the service and car rented. Surely to be repeated.

Arrived and the car had changed slightly however when I explained why I needed a larger car they could not have been more helpful and very quickly sorted me out an upgrade with no extra charge. Definitely use again thank you

Flight was delayed until after midnight but they were still waiting for us, Paperwork completed quickly and we were on our way. Same on drop off. Friendly service and no upselling. Good company and people.

Everything was fine, the car was rented and returned without any problems. We rented the car directly from their airport office in Malta with full insurance option. Thank you.

I was really surprised to see such bad ratings. I have bee using MALTAFIRST for a few years now and always have the best experience. Last week I arrived in Malta only to be told I had booked the wrong date in August! However they sorted me a car, I was in and out of the office in 20 minutes, it was cheap, they treated me like an old friend. Thanks! See you in September

We had a great experience with Maltafirst, everything ran very smoothly and there were no issues. Friendly and helpful team working there at Malta luqa airport. We have used maltafirst before and will use them again. Thanks for everything!
