First Car Rental Malta Recenzje 

We had smooth and great experience renting a car from airport office. Important to mention that day before arrival we checked few companies based in airport to book via website but since we ended up a bit confused regarding insurance options and deposit amount and charges via debit card decided to book it directly from office. Once we brought the car back (leaving a key in post box) because it was 7 a.m. we got deposit back on the next day. Overall everything was totally fine.

Told that if upgrade to platinium package then no concerns if anything happened. This seemed a good option to stop any issues. We never recieved any documentation on the term and condition despite being told they would be emailed (as paperless).
Car had scratches and staining which we dismissed at the time as taken platinium package!
No spare tyre
When we returned the car we received an email 2 days later telling us the seats where stained and we will be charged for professional cleaning!
Yes there was some sand from kids clothing but we didn't take a hoover on holiday.
Apparently this isn't covered by the package we took out, but we never recieved and have still not the terms and conditions.

Cuidado con estos ladrones en Malta.
Alquilamos un coche hace 2 meses con ellos y fue un desastre
Primero nos cobraron mas del presupuesto acordado porque según ellos nos habian cobrado un dia menos de lo estipulado.
Pero lo peor fue que al devolver el coche en el aeropuerto nos recibío un maton de color con pinta de boxeador y como no encontraba ningún defecto en el coche, se inventó un pequeño desperfecto del tamaño de la cabeza de un alfiler en el retrovisor izquierdo y nos dijo que le teníamos que dar 300€ por ello.
Al decirle que no teniamos dinero se puso muy violento, menos mal que nos dejó ir, aunque nos han cobrado dicha cantidad de la fianza de 400 €.
Como sería el abuso en todos los sentidos que les denunciamos en la comisaría del mismo aeropuerto de Malta
Estamos esperando después de 2 mese a que nos devuelvan la diferencia de la fianza.Avisados estais.

Simply fraudulous throughout. To be avoided at all cost. Also parades under different brands, like AUTOUNION CAR RENTAL. It starts with the fact they don't mention their desk is only open at limited hours at the airport. If you arrive after 18h00, you are asked to stop by the desk of FIRST CAR RENTAL next door, and you are charged 35 Euros for "late arrival"... That was just the appetizer. The car we got was covered with scratches and bumps too long to list, so the initial delivery report simply had "scratch zones" all over. We took a few overall pictures of the vehicle to have proof that it was in bad shape. Well, when we returned the car, they found one we had not noticed when we collected the car (among the hundreds already there). And they charged us of course the full liability not covered by insurance. The agent of course did not have a photo of that specific zone when we collected the car, so I suspect they just do it again and again with clients. A well hidden bump on the undercarriage they can milk dozens of clients for. Pretty sure they do this systematically. So, either you refuse the car when it is massively scratched, find another renter or pay for the full liability coverage which of course is charged at absolutely abusive rates. Personally, I would never touch these 2 companies again for car rental: not worth the hassle and the high expenses, not to mention the aggravation.

No alquilar con estos ladrones. Son peores que los de Goldcar. Ojito que cobran por cargos inventados, incluso tu habiendo pagado por ellos. Avisados quedais. A parte la rubia es una maleducada y la otra del autonation (que es la misma compañia) es una incompetente. Dejaros unos Euros...pero dormir tranquilos, porque estos os lo van a robar al final.

Do not rent a car with these thieves. Scammers and rude people.

Good easy company to deal with. Don't try to rip you off when dropping car off. Would recommend

I strongly recommend you avoid this company if you want to avoid stress, anguish and losing money. The cars are very poorly maintained and the company will find many ingenious ways to blame you for problems that were nothing to do with you and charge you for them. Our car had an engine failure light on from day two. On day three we had a puncture and when we went to change the wheel, we found the spare wheel also had a puncture. They charged us for two tyre repairs, plus an admin fee. There are so many other options, do yourself a favour and avoid First Car Rental in Malta.
