Never again .
I booked with this company as the reviews were all positive , but I have to say they were one of the worst companies I have had the displeasure to deal with . If you have no problems , then you are probably fine , but need a bit of support or help , then forget it . Luckily I am very capable of sorting out any issues , which is just as well because that is what I had to do on more than one occasion . Never again will I give my business to them .

Most trusted tour and cruise company
I have used various travel companies over the years, but none matched the accountability and customer care factor after the holidays were booked. I found this site a few years ago and have dealt with them since then. Very customer-focused and ready to deal with any enquiries with no excuses. In March this year, I went to Machu Picchu on a group tour and to our surprise, we were greeted by a man from the Galaxy Cruises. He was there to find out about our experience of the tour and anything that we did not like about the service. All of us in the tour unanimously praised their planned itinerary and the care taken throughout the tour. I would recommend that anyone trying to book their next vacation should enjoy the experience.

Constant changes of itinerary. Barefaced lies form "trusted" agent.
Constant change of itinerary hidden behind emails asking you to confirm your holiday. Hotels changed, flights changed from direct to indirect. Some really inappropriate hotel choices. Holiday of a lifetime ruined by portside rather than beach side hotels. Final straw was being lied to by my agent, Brian Smith. He was telling me that no one had ever complained about the hotel he put us in while he was actively offering the couple we were drinking with a change of hotel. Sadly never again with Galaxy who had previously been very good. Lesson learned, never book too far in advance before the airline schedules are finalised.

We have never booked with Galaxy …
We have never booked with Galaxy cruises before. I gave them a call and spoke with Adam who was very helpful putting together our package for New Orleans even though it isn't until 2028 ! He was very knowledgeable regarding which balcony cabins we wanted. ( mid ship ) We wasn't pressured in any way to book . Felt at ease and he answered all my questions. He emailed me all the details I then spoke with friends and i gave him a call the next day. He went through it once again then I booked it. Thanks so much Adam !

Ashley helped us a great deal to complete our online checkin. I would say she really went out of her way to make sure that all information was completed properly. She helped to get the check-in pass & the baggage tags. She was also very polite.

The booking process was very quick this is our 2nd booking with Galaxy cruises, having returned from our Macchu Picchu and sacred valley tour and Lima to San Diego cruise, which was very good and pretty seamless throughout gave Adam from Galaxy cruises another opportunity to price our next cruise, finding them very competitive and knowing that they do deliver what they say quality hotels too!

The balance between a reasonable price…
The balance between a reasonable price and a smooth and comfortable experience is surely the aim of good customer service. Some of the offers I received were not showing this balance and I had to spoon feed the advisor on some aspects.
The revelation of what is not covered and/or not included in the quoted price being revealed after the initial deposit has been paid is a constant niggle and the “buyer beware” principle is very obvious in the method of sales.
All that said my advisor was generally helpful and not overly pushy. He was quick to implement changes and requote. Overall a reasonable experience but buyer beware.

My first and last time with Galaxy…
My first and last time with Galaxy Cruises.
Booked a stay/cruise/stay which cost us a five figure sum.
Loads of errors found with some of the transfers which I had to report back several times. I had to chase up to three days before we flew, on missing documentation that was needed, including flight details.
I have booked with other companies where everything has been sorted weeks before travelling, but not with this company.
We received an email with all the individual bookings and flight details. Some of these attachments we could not access or check, so I had to find a work around to get into booking.co to check times/dates. This was when i found out some details were incorrect. One transfer on checking had actually been cancelled, so we would have been waiting around for a transfer to our airport at 0330 in the morning. Not sure how easy it would have been to find another at that time in the morning and we could have missed our flight.
So much was missing in the email which I was told to check as everything was there. Three missing flights, a couple of transfers and a booking for a safari were all missing.
We did not fully get all this detail, including the flights which had not been booked until 3 days before we left.
All this just caused us major stress and anxiety when we should have been looking forward to a holiday of a lifetime.
Having used other cruise/travel providers, I can say Galaxy Cruises have been the worst, and by far.
The only reason I have given it 2 stars rather than 1 is for two reasons.
They did sort our alternative flights for us due to the middle east crisis and the flights were as good as the original, which I was happy about. I also received an email of apology for such a mess up with all the documentation.
Sadly, I cannot take such a risk with booking with these again.
I appreciate this may be an irregular ocurence for them.
