Switched from Sam's but going back ASAP
Switched from Sam's due to the DEI situation but going back to Sam's. Placed a order for over 100$ and another one of 30$ same day. Company hit my card for 2x115$ and 2x 30$ same day. When I chatted with agent he tells me they hold all funds when order is placed then charges the card when order ships. In today's economy we cannot wait 3-5 business days for Costco to play with several 100 dollars in our account. Either they take the money when order is placed or take it when it ships and don't ship the order if funds don't come out but this greedy shit is for the birds Costco. Ughhhhhh Sam's doesn't do this even THEY aren't that greedy.
Regretful Experience Costco Online
I bought a Toshiba TV through Costco online December 2022. I took out the 3 year warranty. It became faulty in February '2025. Although the fault was deemed fixable by the engineer who attended, Costco decided to refund the cost than pay for a repair.
The refund took several weeks to process, meanwhile to not be without a TV, I had to buy one without the refund.
I purchased a Samsung 75 inch TV again through Costco online on 23.03.25. I paid an engineer £80 to fix the brackets and mount it on my wall on the day it was delivered, 3.3.25. Within a day, Samsung deemed the TV faulty. On switching it on, the screen just flashed grey. Without quibble, Costco agreed to replace it, but will not refund the £80 or send someone to fit the brackets and remount it. An employee told me that I should see it as a consequence of the purchase. I totally disagree that I should be out of pocket and have to pay yet another person to put the brackets on and mount the replacement TV. The Costco employee told me that I should do it myself to avoid the extra cost. This is totally ridiculous and unacceptable. What do you think?
Order a brand new Dell computer received a used one
On March 16, I placed an order with Costco.com for a brand new Dell computer on March 19. I received a used computer showing a service tag number on the box showing it went under remote repairs from September to December 2024
Costco is claiming that the computer was mailed to me from Dell and Dell was responsible for this
Order delivery FAIL
I was supposed to receive an order two days ago, Wed., which was already 6 days after I placed the order.
Four days ago they said it was "delayed" and would be arriving by today, Friday. THEN they said, "hey, it will arrive a DAY EARLY! [Thursday]"--i.e., only one day late instead of two.
No package arrived Thursday.
New message--"Exciting news! It will arrive today by 7 p.m.!"
No package today.
UPS has no answers. Of course after 7 p.m. the facility where it might be sitting in a trailer is closed. Although yesterday it was on a delivery truck; today it's back at the facility in a trailer???
This is on Costco, but also on UPS. Costco contracts with them. And Costco apparently needed 3 days to get the items to UPS.
This was my first and last Costco direct experience
This was my first and last purchase from Costco Direct. I bought two items, a TV and a TV console. Over $1000 total. After waiting a week, they came today, BOTH broken. The console is 7 ft and not available in the local warehouse, so I did an online exchange. The TV, or one similar, is available in warehouse, so rather than risk a second broken TV AND have to wait another week for it to be delivered, I returned the TV at the warehouse so I could have the TV today. After I got home, I noticed the return took away over half of the Costco Direct “buy two get $100” off. So, in the end, due to two, not one, faulty products and my not wanting to risk another TV being broken, I am out an additional $51.33. I called and spoke to a rep, she was professional but there was nothing she could do due to the system design. This is unacceptable, and I will not be using Costco Direct for any future purchases.

Appalling service
Appalling service, hours to get through to anyone and when you do if they can’t resolve your problem they hang up!! Happened to me twice now. 2 emails numerous phone calls and still no resolution in sight!! Costco warehouse in person 10/10. Costco online -10.

Took some jeans back as wrong size, had to then go back in and get right ones. Then to see the que of over 80 people. I left the jeans and walked out.

Awful customer service regarding failed deliveries. Agent did not follow through with email and arranging manager call back. Spent 2 hours on the phone over 3 working days to try and get resolution. Was advised goods would be reshipped but then advised after 3 days that they would not be reshipped and only a refund available.
Paid for goods, not delivered, not reshipped, no manager call back.

It's the worst service you can ever have. The Delivery crew left a gas range unopened. After I asked them to open it to check the item, they opened the top and left me with old items in the ho use.Now I have to spend 4 hours on installation of new range and one more day for removing old one.Do not order any deliveries from this company. Products are missing from the original order substitutions were brutal. Pricing was incorrect. I would never entertain ordering on this website again. Instacart was virtually no help in correcting any of the wrong prices. I can’t believe just how brutal this experience has been. I’ve had to stop payment through my credit card and I’m claiming for the wrong pricing wrong product. An absolute terrible experience.

Ordered a new iPad at c.£600.00 which arrived just in the Apple box inside a sealed plastic bag without any additional protective packaging. The parcel had clearly been bumped or dropped en-route as the box corners were bashed. Hopefully, as it's an electronic item without moving parts, it'll be ok. However, I would not have wanted it to be something more intricate. Rather poor for CostCo I think!
No order, no refund, no replacement, no customer service!!
Placed order in October, item was delivered to a completely different address, other side of the city!
They will not resend or refund until it’s been investigated, over 4 weeks later and I am still waiting for an update!! I have called them 3 times …. Best part of 5 hours of my life gone in 3 phone calls. I have had to replace the items purchased as they were for Christmas presents!! I am now out of pocket, shocking! It takes best part of 90 minutes for someone to answer!

Extremely Disappointed with Costco Delivery and Customer Service
I’ve always trusted Costco, but this recent experience has been beyond disappointing.
I purchased a washer and dryer, and while the delivery team brought them to my home, they did not complete the installation and just left. One of the main reasons I chose Costco was because installation was supposed to be included.
I contacted customer service, and they promised someone would get back to me within 2–3 days. It’s now been over a day, and no one has contacted me. Meanwhile, the washer and dryer are blocking the entryway to my kitchen, making it extremely difficult to move around my home. On top of that, I can’t do any laundry, and the backlog is piling up.
This has been such a frustrating experience, and I expected so much better from a company like Costco. I trusted them to make this process easy, but instead, it’s been nothing but a hassle.
Update: The delivery came on Monday, and as of Tuesday, the Metro to Home Delivery company finally called and said they could come on Saturday. That means I’ll have to live with the big washer in the entryway for a full week, unable to do laundry. All of this inconvenience is my fault for buying from Costco Online.
Goods not delivered
Goods not delivered. Zero customer service. Chat bot cycles a queue so you get to number one (after 45 mins) and then are pushed back to the back of the queue. Now on the phone to a call centre which has been playing me waiting music for 20 mins with periodic messages about how busy they are. I have spent 000's with Costco over the years. This will be my last transaction with them. Useless.
