I called into the Haywards Heath branch…
I called into the Haywards Heath branch by chance and ask if they knew where Halifax building society was, the gentleman apologised that they have closed but I could go to Lloyds bank and they should be able to help.
I then enquired about your Isa rates, which yours are far better than Halifax so I asked if I could open an account the whole process was easy and the lady who looked after me was extremely helpful. My isa is now performing much better, thank you.

The app is awful
The app is awful. Many actions result in some kind of error message and sometimes it is completely down.
I will be moving elsewhere soon purely because of the app. They shoud do more user testing of the basic functions.

Called for certificate of interest to assist my 93 year old mum with a tax return she has been asked to submit (!!) (9.15, 20.6.26) Sam was extremely helpful and understanding and patiently helped set up online access, and suggested ways my mum could be helped in the future. 10/10 excellent customer service experience.

When making a withdrawal
When making a withdrawal, money is debited from your account immediately. They don't send it to the recipient until the next day.
If the amount is significant the loss of interest on that money cannot be ignored.
