The Staff at YBS are so friendly and patient. I was a first time buyer and they explained everything . The website is also very informative and easy to follow. Overall I had a great experience .

I called at the Reading branch yesterday to deal with an expiring ISA. I told the cashier Raman Kaur what I planning to do to re-invest. She spent time exploring other options for me and found a better result at a higher rate of interest.

YBS say they offer Offet Mortgages. But beware, their computers can only calculate interest when it is in their favour. Add money into an offset account and they will drag you through all sorts of hoops and totally unnecessary questions before adjusting payments. I have had offset mortgages before which were so much easier and their computers calculated balances and interest daily. NOT with YBS. Thiers can't seemingly. Set up a regular overpayment? Not uncommon, but YBS will expect you to go through a 4 day process each and every month to gain the benefit . Product is not fit for purpose and you will be much better going with a professional bank. They may have a higher rate, but you will have a much lower blood pressure.

The transaction was very clear and easy to complete. The security was well controlled.
