Absolutely attrocious level of customer service. Can only speak to agents in South Africa, who simply don't understand, don't sort it out and never call back.

Frankly, I'm at the end of my rope trying to get this sorted. Shame on you

UPDATE: They've graciously replied I will get a response in 10-working days. What about the telephone call I was promised before 1pm today?
Any news on that one

FURTHER UPDATE: It's now 15th September 2026 and whilst the correct meter has now been put onto the system, we are a long way from achieving a resolution. It is not helped with repeated Customer Service staff stating that they will call back by certain dates and times, they never do. To date, I've made 15 calls lasting on average between 30-45 minutes. The agents are all very polite but frankly are not empowered to make decisions, and the decision makers are either in meetings or hide behind emails.
The next suggestion will most likely be for me to contact CCW - this is a pointless exercise as they have no teeth and Waterplus know it! From previous experience, whilst they upheld my complaint in full they had no power to enforce the level of compensation they felt was fair.
FINAL UPDATE: Thank you to Julie, who got a grip on the situation and produced a resolution which far exceeded my expectations. I couldn't be happier with the new result. If only this could have been achieved without having to fight, Waterplus would have much better reviews

I spoke with Rebecca who explained everything very clearly, went through the whole process with patience and a lovely sense of humour. It was a great experience and Rebecca is a great advocat for WaterPlus.

Finally, after several attempts, with several different client services people, to resolve my problem, Josh was able to understand and find a solution to the issue. I have to say the previous people with whom I was in contact did try, but the accounts package defeated them all. At the penultimate contact I was left hanging onto the phone for 50 mins and then abandoned in despair. Josh was not going to give up and was wonderfully patient in unravelling a situation which never needed to get as complicated as it did.
He is worth his weight in gold; a man who is intelligent and who cares. You need more like him.

Lauren Baddeley responded quickly to my emails, with precise information, called me when it was convenient (I attend to my bed bound wife), and generally proved to be the exact opposite of my previous dealings with waterplus. So. I have nothing but praise for Lauren.

It took over 5 years to get to this point because as a company waterplus seem to employ people (even when the complaint is elevated to the next, higher levels) who are obstructive, unhelpful, fail to respond within their own (generously long) time frames, get basic information wrong when responding and seem to be semi literate, making their correspondence difficult to read and understand.

We contacted the Water Plus team regarding our account as we had been recieving several different letters from Water Plus regarding several different accounts with several different SPIDs for our site, it appeared that the valuation office had not been updated with the current status for the site and therefore an investigation needed to be raised to the wholesaler "United Utilities".

I was dealing with Alicia & Ben from the Water Plus team who have been "tremendous", both Alicia & Ben took the time to listen to our query and understand the issue, and take the relative action required, they raised the investigation with United Utilities and followed it through, both Alicia & Ben went above & beyond to get this matter finally resolved as it had been ongoing for over 18 months before they took on the responsibility, they both kept me up to date with progress by contacting me by phone & e-mails, the matter is now finally resolved, Alicia & Ben are a credit to the Water Plus team and should be promoted, fantastic service

NO STARS IN REALITY!!! Shocking company aggressive rude, don't want to listen, trying to charge us for a property that does not belong to us, despite multiple calls, emails and correspondence they still keep emailing and ringing and sending letters. I genuinely believe they just bully people until you get tired and pay up. Reporting them to trading standards as the emails are really aggressive.

Water Plus failed to manage my account and payments resulting a very large outstanding bill. Although they did offer me a payment plan to help, it did not reflect their part in the debt.
I put a complaint in that was bounced around for a long time and mostly ignored. Finally a lovely lady called Ali picked up my complaint and dealt with it. She was really friendly, polite and professional. My complaint was resolved and fair compensation offered. Although Ali is a credit to Water Plus, overall I am very disappointed with them.

Great service from Sultan from Sheffield. He made closing the account a simple and easy experience. Not often I feel the need to leave a review, but people deserve it when they do a good job. Thank you.

Helpful efficient polite professional and sorted the problem 10 out of 10

Atrocious service, charged for multiple bills for premises that don't exist, chased by debt collection agency for bills for premises we've vacated and notified of years earlier. Impossible to get a response or change made when emailing details their nice people on phone advice I send. Debt collection agency more responsive and helpful than WaterPlus, extremely frustrated and fed up.

I would like to recognise Eleanor Bennington, she delivers great support to our account.Ellie is always happy, helpful, reliable and knowledgeable in all aspects of the account. Ellie responds to queries quickly and is always on hand to resolve any questions I have.

Ali handled my complaint promptly and professionally, achieving the outcome I had hoped for. I am very grateful for the goodwill shown in resolving what was an unfortunate situation. Thank you for taking the time to listen to my concerns and reaching a fair resolution.
