Dorsy was very helpful and explained…

Dorsy was very helpful and explained everything thoroughly. A previously female colleague of business stream had a very strong tone and told me things that were incorrect. I was not happy with her attitude. I hope you can speak to her. Not happy about her but Dorcy was great.

Incompetent bunch

Incompetent bunch. They set up the account on the wrong name and for last six month, I have been asking them to correct it. Everymonth a new incompetent staff will call and I have to repeat the same story again and again. I have sent the lease of the premises which is on the company name and they are now asking for a letter.

I am charged over £1,000.00 per year…

I am charged over £1,000.00 per year for the supply of tap water and drainage for my work unit.
I'm a Sole Trader and work on my own, so this level of expense is dispiriting and cannot be justified.
They can't even send you an invoice for their ridiculous fee - you've to go online and print it yourself.
Disgusting.

Dear Jim - you are charged as an unmeasured supply and the charges are billable a year in advance, but can be paid at more regular frequencies to spread the cost. I am sorry that an invoice wasn't sent to you if requested. Whilst it is true that often an invoice could be easily obtained via our service portal My Business Stream, we would always look to assist in the event of difficulty and send exceptionally by e-mail. I am sorry this was not offered. I will ask for a complaint to be raised for you and a dedicated handler will contact you. We can take a look at the rateable value associated with your property and if there is any opportunity to approach your local authority for a reassessment. I am sorry that a clearer offer of support has not been made before now.

Do not ever become a customer of this…

Do not ever become a customer of this company. They are totally incompetent. I am NOT a customer, have NEVER been a customer and they sent me an invoice for a meter that I DO NOT HAVE AND HAVE NEVER HAD. When I advised them to amend their records they sent a letter saying tjhey were sorry we were moving business????

We rely on market data and bringing supply points into charge based on market data, which can on occasion be incorrect. If you received a letter about moving business, it could be that an attempt has been made to close the account and change the liable party, this would have been a standard system generated letter. In order to be able to look further into your issues, it would help if you could provide the customer reference number for the account in question. I will then arrange for a dedicated complaint handler to provide support. If you could provide these details to Customer.Relations@business-stream.co.uk this would be most appreciated. poor customer service they have been…

poor customer service they have been paid but still telling me they havant my water bill has gone from £1200 anuall to £6000 if they keep sending me bills for £500 for four weeks phoned them six times to get this sorted i dont have a leak at the property if i check the meter reading before i go home then check it when i get to work its still the same !as per one week i turned the water off to see if it made any difference and guess what its still the same . so when i said im not paying them till this is sorted they said we will send debt collection company for the money ! so stay away from this company !speaking to the consumer council for water to see if they can help me

Dear Sir, I am very sorry to read of the difficulties experienced. Thank you for providing your customer reference number. I can see that you also completed a web form complaint which arrived on Saturday and this has been passed to the Customer Resolution's Team. A dedicated complaint handler will be assigned to your case and will be in contact shortly. They will work with you to identify when the billing appears to have increased, which seems to be between September and December 25. The full amount is split between consumption and waste charges. They will also advise what checks can be made to rule out leaks, excess consumption or issues with any billing accuracy, I am sorry that you have not been able to resolve matters with a number of failed contacts. Please rest assured debt recovery action is paused whilst your complaint is being investigated, although you will continue to be billed.
