Billing Issue -
Paid consistant amount for 6 years no issues. Then suddenly a DD was taken for almost 20k! They are awaer its an error but now almost 6 weeks waiting for credit note that they promised 6 weeks ago. Talking to them and keep saying they will get it sorted!

IComplications find that dealing with invoices
I find that dealing with invoices - information etc on line time consuming and arduous - also this constant barrage requesting meter readings. The meters are in the road and I am not going to deal with them. I would prefer an e-mail with an attachment invoice

Absolutely useless billed me 5k for two weeks of water in a small pub - said it must have been a leak (the put would have floated away) - took three months to resolve at the start of the year and having the same issue again now

They should be
Just to provide some story, they are water providers for business for some odd reason they were my supplier for two years while in the beginning I said I'm not business and this is domestic property. So I was charged VAT on my bills and etc. Currently there is a case with Water Council as they refused to pay back all overpayments and recalculate what I overpaid across all those years, will give them two more weeks until they are reported to HMRC for charging VAT on domestic property

Not sure if returning some of VAT that was charged on demestic property should be clasified as goodwill payment, its more like payments what was owed, also i do not believe all VAT was retured as when i went through every bill, i got different figure, on top of that, usage rates are different for domestic and commercial properties so that should also be return as well with VAT, especially when it was your fault since the beginning when i told property is domestic and yet you still classified my property as " Standard Industrial Classification code: 224000 / Non-Ferrous Metals Industry." The goodwill payment should be added on top of refund

I can confirm that a gesture of goodwill was applied to your account on 3 July 2026 to cover the VAT charges. As a result, your account is currently in credit.
I can also see that CCW has been in touch with us, and we are currently awaiting further correspondence from them. Once we receive an update, we will review the information provided.

I received exceptional customer service from Beth Mansell at Water Plus.
From my first contact, Beth was professional, patient and genuinely caring. She took the time to fully investigate my account rather than simply providing a standard response, kept me updated throughout, and explained everything clearly and sympathetically.
What impressed me most was that Beth took ownership of my enquiry and worked hard to understand the situation properly before reaching a resolution. Her attention to detail, willingness to go the extra mile, and genuine kindness made a difficult matter so much easier to deal with.
