I Found what I needed to know and was able to find the best policy.

Easy to obtain insurance and good in price

No Problem in renewing, have used them before and had a claim completed. Was a little bit of hassle, but then again aren't they all!

We took out insurance for our grandaughter who is travelling with us. The online experience was fine. However, it did say that the Policy Certificate would be emailed to me - but 4 days later still nothing which I find a bit disappointing as I need it to take with me when we travel.

Very pleased with the range of options and prices offered. Was a little hard to get answers to my questions at first that's why the 4 star- however once I got someone on the online chat they were great and even arranged to call me back- even though I'm overseas- that would have got tham 5 stars if it wasn't for the emails that didn't get answered earlier.
I will use them again.

Although I’ve been more than happy with Essential Travel in the past - they were really excellent when my husband had an accident while we were on holiday several years ago - booking online in this instance was significantly marred by the fact it was not possible double-check to see if the purchased policy definitely covered both myself and my husband. Only my name was on the details, and when I emailed to ask, the email was returned as a “failed to be delivered”. And I could not see an alternative email address anywhere, just a reference to checking the website if there were any questions. This is exactly what drives me up-the-wall about buying anything online.

Simple document completion. Payment worked well - quick and straight forward. Used the service several times now it has always been that way. More efficient than some of its competitors.

Having looked at and compared various travel insurances with my own medical issues I found Essential travel to give the best options to suit my costs and requirements.

Quick answering calls. Staff really pull out the stops to help you. My son was in states, they extended medical cover for him. I could reach them on bank holiday when others were shut. They have long opening times as well which meant I could get things sorted. Brilliant service

I was renewing and found that the process was the same as applying as new. So I could not tell if you have details of previous contacts and notes of my medical history.

Paid the extra £2 for the printed certificate and the conditions and terms. booklet. Unlike in the past, I got a printout of a screenshot of terrible quality and an expired leaflet with conditions valid until half a year ago. While it's only £2 the quality of service has changed a lot.
