I've been using Dolphin Music for some years now and generally things have gone well, apart from being sent a second user item sold to me, as 'new', in a box that looked like it had been in a battle and was emblazed with a couple of empty 'invoice pouches' that indicated previous rejections of this scratched and chipped item. All was put right, but should not have happened. And so to today, where I'm still waiting for the 2nd half of an order placed 20 days ago. I had to phone them twice and leave a comment on their Facebook page (which is why I got some response from them), just to get my order split up and the items in stock (all were listed on website as 'in stock' or 'limited stock' when I ordered) shipped out to me, which took 2 attempts by PDP arriving last week. I left it another week and emailed to chase other items, but so far, no response. I mean, we're talking a pair of Zildjian wire brushes and a glass guitar slide (very common music items by reputable manufacturers that shouldn't be too hard to supply). Now this is the rub = both items are listed right now 27/03/2017 (and have been all along) as being 'in stock'. I have already had one apology on this order (1st part) and had no pro-active response from Dolphin whatsoever. I've spent over £1000 with them in the last 6 months, but I shall be withdrawing my custom permanently if I hear nothing (very) soon. Not living up to their own 'mission statement' regarding the shipping of goods where they basically say "we'll do our best to keep you informed, if delivery of an item takes more than a couple of days" (my abridged version).
Come on Dolphin shape up - I can always 'swim' with someone else.

Ordered a guitar and a number of accessories which were all listed as in-stock. Later that day I received a phone call telling me that the guitar wasn't in stock, so I asked to cancel the order so I could start again. I made another order - again, a guitar and some accessories - and the next day I had another phone call telling me that two of the accessories were out of stock (despite being listed as in-stock on the website). One accessory was replaced with another of the same type but of lesser quality, and they seem to have given up bothering about the other accessory - I've not received it and doubt I ever will.

I used to shop in the Dolphin store in Gateshead and remember it being canny, but shopping online - especially when compared to the likes of GAK and Guitar Guitar - Dolphin were abysmal. I'll certainly not be shopping here again.

Ordered a guitar cab to be delivered Mon 13th. Payment has been taken but didn't turn up. Contacted Dolphin Music on 14th and was told they were out of stock awaiting delivery. Was emailed on 15th and told it was put on next day delivery but I would have to call direct to ensure they received the item! Called on 16th was told they wouldn't rcv from supplier til 16/17th but I'd rcv on 17/18th. Explained I needed the item for 18th (for the 2nd time) requested an email when item arrived with them (still waiting) Called again 17th and told it was due to them 17th and they hadn't organised delivery for 18th but would try now with no guarantee. Staff member was defensive implying it wasn't his fault. Asked if/when they'd confirm with me (still waiting though he did email immediately to say he couldn't confirm at this stage) spoke to courier (who took a while to find me as Dolphin Music gave me incorrect tracking details) who confirmed it would not be delivered until 20th. I'm now out of pocket as I have had to hire a cab to use today (18th) Of the 3 members of Dolphin Music staff I spoke with, I only received 1 apology, 7 minutes in to the first phone call. Will never use Dolphin Music again. Far too stressful!

item as described ...kept well informed throughout only very slight observation ... get yerselves a feather duster ... probably because these items are now as extinct as the dodo the dust had gathered ... LOL :-)) other than that well happy with service ...

First time shopping with them, after shopping around they were by far the cheapest for the Mic I ordered.

It had next day delivery, was extremely well packaged and worked like a charm. No complaints, would buy from them again.

I would like to know why it is taking so long to deliver my package. I have no means of checking on the status of my order, whether it is being despatched or if indeed it will ever be despatched. No emails back or any communication

I was recommended Dolphin Music by a friend and I wished to by a MIDI keyboard. I was impressed at the range and decided to buy from them rather than my go to: Amazon.

I was under the impression when I placed my order, that the item was in stock. I suspect it was deliberately not made obvious because otherwise I would have gone elsewhere.

It has now been almost 4 weeks and I have had no indication as to when the item will be in stock, or even that they are aware of the situation! I have emailed the customer support asking for clarification, but have had no reply. I have resigned myself to the fact that it will probably never be delivered!

Buy from somewhere like Amazon - the reliability of an established distributor is worth it, I promise.

even though stock was unavailable they contacted the supplier and saw things through in a professional and polite manner so i was able to get the guitar i wanted which may i say is brilliant

I needed a lead to connect my Yamaha digital piano to my home AV system. found it fairly easily & it was delivered when promised. Good service.

Only a set of strings for me this time but the Dolphin purchase-process and despatch was still dealt with with the same care and professionalism that I've seen when buying much larger items. Excellent.

Everyone knows the shure mic, good quality and good price plus fast delivery, in other words Dolphin music is an excellent shop and i will buy from them again with no dubt. David
