I’ve been a customer of Discount Tire for 10+ years.
12/15 at 4:07 pm wanting a tire rotation at store on East/West Connector, Marietta GA. Sitting 1 hour my car hasn't been touched, meanwhile they’re busy doing air checks on drive ups. 1-1/2 hrs my car still not touched.
They close at 6 pm. This is unreasonable and not good customer service. What is happening to customer service and is customer loyalty no longer important?

I was at this location on Wednesday the 3rd from 10:19am to 1:20pm. The two "managers" I dealt with were James Lake and Brandon Curtis (their cards were in front of the computer they were using).When I arrived I was told between an 1 hour to 1.5 hours "out the door". I stated if it's going to be 2 or more hours I'll make an appointment for another day (tire pressure sensor was bad). I was assured 1-1.5 hours. After 1:45 minutes I asked when my car was going to be serviced. I was told 30 minutes "out the door" (12:15). AT 12:50 now I'm really mad I went to get my refund and leave and James stated they are finally pulling it in at 1:00 and finished at 1:20. Over 3 hours sitting there when I could have made a appointment for another day. It's obviously Discount Tire trains their staff to lie to customers to try and keep them from leaving. I HATE BEING LIED TOO!!!!! So if they tell you 1.5 hours, count on 3 hours!!!!!

Quite disappointed with the employee Mark at the Friendswood, Texas store. Poor customer service and less than adequate people skills. I ordered the spare tire shown in the pictures (note that it is supposed to include the rim), yet when I showed up to pick it up, the rim was not included. When I politely asked why, Mark acted like I'm such ignorant customer as in his opinion I am supposed to guess that what I paid for does not include the rim. Yet again and again, I pointed to the receipt showing the tire WITH THE RIM. he frowned, stopped responding to me, and when I asked for a refund, he seemed annoyed to give me my money back. So, if you still decide to go to this location, I strongly recommend you avoid this Mark individual.

I took my car to Discount tire to have a flat fixed. All they wanted was for me to buy a new tire. They told me that the tire could not be fixed. I then took the tire to a local tire shop. they fixed it with no problem. Avoid them at all costs, they are not the same tire company that they used to be.

I had purchased the tire certificate warranty for my car that provides free lifetime rotation and balance. Worker came back stating all 4 tires were exactly worn for 4/32 needing replacements and they would not rotate nor balance the tires.

I went to a different shop and they showed me the gage showing nearly 6/32 of tread. These did not need to be replaced and some were a little more worn than others and cited that a rotation would extend its life even further.

Discount tire has turned into a scam center. I would not recommend them to anyone.

Not a Pleasant Experience at Discount Tire (Tilch Rd, Macomb, MI)

I went to Discount Tire on Tilch Rd. in Macomb, MI on Friday, October 10th, 2025, to purchase two tires. I spent a significant amount of time working with Audrey, the salesperson, who tried to order the tires for me since they weren't available in-store. I was told the tires would be in by Monday, and I specifically mentioned that I needed them by 1-2 PM EST.
When it came to pricing, I noticed a discrepancy between the online price and the price quoted in-store. I asked both Audrey and the other person at the register about this, and I was told the tires were discontinued, with newer, more expensive ones available in the shop. I agreed to pay the higher price, as it was explained that the price in-store would apply, not the online price, and I was assured that I’d receive a call once the tires arrived.
On Monday, October 13th, I received a call at 10:47 AM saying that my tires were ready and to bring the vehicle in. I did so, and was told I would be called once the installation was complete. However, by 2 PM, I hadn’t received any updates, so I called them myself to check on the status. Turns out, they had already installed the tires, but no one had bothered to reach out to me, as promised.
When I asked about the lack of a call, I was told that for some reason, the system didn’t send me a text update. To make matters worse, I wasn’t informed that the tire pressure would be low until I drove the car for a bit. As a customer, I felt the communication was poor, and I was left dissatisfied with the overall service.
Overall, my experience at this location was frustrating, especially with the lack of follow-through on the promises made by the staff. I expected better service and transparency.

Terrible. The newly opened Cotton lane location in Goodyear, Az charges more for services than any other location in a 20 mile radius. I call them for a quote, then call 3 other stores and they're always more expensive than everyone else. Very strange as I thought pricing was the same between stores. Happened twice in 1 week. Will never return

We purchased 4 brand new tires at Discount Tire in Plano, Texas The rims were filthy with grease and fingerprints. I took the car back to them and complained about the way they looked. The manager gave me a song and dance about how the grease was from getting the tire on the wheel. He said the fingerprints and grease on the rims was because they were dirty to begin with and they are not responsible for how they look!
Not happy with that response!
Not going back to them!

I have been doing business with Discount Tire for years but now they lost my business. My daughter went in for a nail in her tire the salesman tried to tell her she needed new tires. He didn’t know that she was with me. I told him that he was a liar because the tires were fairly new with a lot of tread left on them. Left me wondering how many people do they scam every day.

Ridiculous upselling by their staff. My wife went in because she had a slowly leaking front tire. Thought it was the valve stem. After a 45 minute wait Chad at the front said that he wouldnt even drive the car into the shop if she didnt purchase two new rear tires. By the way i check and there is 50% tread left on the rears.
I ended up taking the car up the street where they saw a nail in it and repaired it with a plug for a total of $27.
Taking advantage of a Women's lack of knowledge about cars if pretty lowlife in my opinion

After two weeks of dealing with the Territory manager I have learned that it was all our fault. Really? I was told that because my wife's tires were 6 years old and below the their acceptable tread wear limit that they wouldn't work on the car! The fact that they pressured my wife to buy 2 new back tires because they couldnt even drive it into their service bay to fix what ended up being a nail hole must have gone over the Manager's head. He did admit that they should have at least helped her out by putting on a spare or taking a look at it and had NO answer as to why they didnt.
We were offered a brand new set of 4 tires as a bribe to change our rating or keep quite about our experience. The manager completely missed the point obviously.
Fathers and Husbands DO NOT SEND your wives or daughters to this store!!!!!
Looking at the BBB review on line of complaints there was at least 30 in the last month alone and many about the same ISSUE.

Too many other good places exist to do business with.

When i say RACIST, I mean every letter! I stopped by Discount Tire Bossier City on yesterday. Informed that i should be here this morning at 7:15 so that i could be the first car they worked on. I was here by 7:10, before some of the employees even got here. At least six cars have came in after me. They have completed the work on all of those cars and all I need is for my tires to be balanced. They've tried to up-sell me tires, even told me that my lugs needed to be "hammered" off. The best part is when an employee called me STUPID for asking what was going on, why is it taking so long, and why all of the vehicles that got here after I did are gone. I've asked for the number to corporate several times. (At least 10) It was just given to me after I believe it is the manager tried to explain that they need to use a different socket to get the lugs off. I kept asking where did the hammer come in at and if they had the socket, what's the problem. I keep getting the run around while they keep pulling other cars in and pulling them out. We have purchased these tires from Discount. (not this location) We've purchased ALL of the tires on all of our vehicles from Discount Tire. I've never been treated like this, felt like this or seen this happen before in my life. I am truly amazed, hurt and shocked. I know I'm in the south, but WOW! DISCOUNT TIRE BOSSIER CITY LOUISIANA, you've disrespected a loyal customer with this one. Did I mention that EVERY customer that they have put in front of me are of a different color than I am.

The Discount Tire shop in Asheville, NC was quick and courteous and excellent with their knowledge of my past membership with Discount tire. They got me back on the road quickly.

I rarely waste the energy to create product or service review, this is based on a principal necessity. Two cars, each installed Michelin 70K upper end tires provided by a Discount Tire store. I will never repeat business with them.

1st issue, after half the mileage life all 4 tires at the same time suddenly developed severe inside tread cupping damage. The outlet had provided tire rotation and balance for previous mileage service cycle on balance and rotation. The site manager insinuated cause was neglected tire maintenance. FYI, the replaced tires (by a different tire store) now have over 15K miles and no issues.

2nd issue, my other car picked up a screw, slow pressure leakage. Same Discount Tire outlet, without a hesitation condemned the tire based on the screw located on the sidewall. My new tire provider without hesitation identified the screw location in the tread of the tire and repaired it on the spot. Not much of a DISCOUNT after all!

My wife refers to Discount Tire as the "Chick-fil-A of tire shops." The Greenville, NC office is a well-oiled machine. Knowledgeable... Professional... Clean... Personable... Service oriented. This is an impressive group of people. The Greenville, NC location is the embodiment of a healthy American, customer-focused company.

Discount tire reviews are fake and filter out all the negatives. For instance, the Pirelli 275/55 R21 116H tire was explicitly created for the Rivian R1T three years ago, and there are no reviews from Rivian owners. Additionally, the fact that the Pirelli tire does not come with any tread warranty speaks volumes. (mine lasted 20k)On the other hand, the Michelin Defender LTX M/S 275/55 R21 116H XL BSW has only been on the market for less than a year, yet it has received numerous positive reviews. Not from Rivian owners....

I had bought all seasons to replace winters while I was in the area. The store agreed to bag, tag and store the winter tires for me for 2 months when I would retrieve the winters; this was documented and I received a store ticket with details.

When I arrived to pick up the tires, employees told me that the tires had been "lost", "stolen", misplaced, gone. The rep tried to tell me that my original winter tires weren't good anymore and they had thrown them out. When reminded that the tires were not theirs to decide about and that they had agreed to store them for me until I could retrieve them, he blamed the salvage company that removed their "dead tires" for taking them. His solution was to give me $16/tire "to help me out". Winter tires are worth 10 times that, but what recourse have I got?

This feels like a rip off and sketchy. I won't recommend Discount Tire.

I had an appointment set for 1145. Arrived on time. At 1230 they finally pull my car into the bay to balance my tires. They told her that they could only balance two of them because the front two were worn too much. They offered to sell me two to replace them. I just purchased the tires from them in October. I do drive quite a bit. When I inspect the tires they look about middle aged. I feel like they were trying to get me to buy something to make a sale. An hour later I finally get my car back. What’s the point of an appointment if they’re not going to keep it?

On 1/6/25 Discount Tire improperly lifted our vehicle on the power running boards instead of the frame causing significant damage.
We initially had it into Christian Brothers Automotive and they charged us $947.23 to repair a broken bracket, which we paid. But they found this did not correct the problem because the body had been ripped apart as well so they sent us to a body shop for that repair.
Eagle body works estimated at minimum $14,732.24 with the possibility of supplemental charges as the repair was ongoing. Estimated time to perform the repair is 4 weeks.
I had the vehicle sold for $35,000 prior to this damage cause by Discount Tire, the party is no longer interested due to the damage.
A comparable rental vehicle for the 4 week repair is $3,611.97 according to Enterprise rental.
Estimated depreciation is $5000-$7000.
My wife has a bad back and has to lift our son into the vehicle every time he gets in due to the lack of the running board working and Discount Tire's insurance company FleetResponse representative EMILY WRIGHT rarely if ever responds. They clearly are dragging their feet and know the pain it is causing my family.

Emily has been non responsive on multiple occasions and rarely responds until prompted multiple times. She has offered $15,679.47 and does not account for loss of use, depreciation or the rental.
This does not make us whole and is going to force us to take this to litigation which the lawyer says will take up to 2 years.

I am not going to take the hit of turning this into our insurance company as I do not want this on our record when it is clearly Discount Tire's fault.

I have two emails of admission of liability from them stating this.

Although staff are friendly it’s more than frustrating to offer free tire rotation with the purchase of a set of tires because it’s hardly free. I faithfully come in to get tires rotated pretty regularly after purchasing a set of 4 tires the year prior. Everytime I come there is a rather long wait and they always try to get you to get or buy something else. You rarely can walk in here for just the one service you request. Last rotation they got me for a set of wipers, this rotation they say I need lug nuts replaced. Hmmm why did you not mention that at last rotation that lug nuts were an issue? After all you’re the only people messing with the lug nuts. I declined and he made a face and went a tad harder saying it’s risky as they can break off. okay then we worry about it then. They need 25 plus dollars at each rotation then it’s not actually free! it’s simply another money hungry business that constantly milks customers for what they can get out of them in attempts to sell higher priced unnecessary products. Seriously why does a tire place sell window wipers? it Would be great just to walk in somewhere get exactly what you want and or ask for!

Hi- I was told at the Bremerton WA location it would take three days to get the like tire for my BMW in late Spring after a flat on the right front. I bought a pair of Sentry tires on their recommendation and installed on the front and when it got wet (Seattle area) the front tires would always understeer. When asked to review them after 7 months I did and it was a negative review. They asked to hold the review until they could make it right. I had to take the car in so they could verify the size ( really- Idk why) and that took a while so they finally got the tires in after a week or so. (now end of October) I was called and told to come in anytime via vmail. I called and spoke with Jen who said Saturday was too busy so Monday was set at 1330 on November 4th as I had an earlier appointment in the morning. On the way to Seattle on hwy 16 east bound when it hydroplaned at 63 mph and the front tried to change direction into the center divider. Their insurer blew me off and said not covered. They are Fleet Response. Please remember I just tried to respond to their request for a review and was never able to. After the totaling of my car it was too late as the review window had closed.
