They refused to honor service on their own tires by saying they were too old and needed to be replaced. The tires were in great shape and were perfectly serviceable.

Didn't use a breaker bar to loosen the lug nuts on my vehicle and they damaged more than half of the lug nuts and they tried to get you to purchase a cheap garbage $100 set of lug nuts that were caused by their mistake of using an impact gun instead of a breaker bar and now they won't reimburse me for replacing the lug nuts
Inept and inexperienced and dangerous technicians
I took a my Dodge Ram for a tire replacement on January 24, 2026 at 9:05 am as mine was flat. About 30 min later I got my car back and drove to work since I had a shift mid day. When I got off work around 6 pm I notice that my replaced tire was flat and coming out of the rim. I could not drive back home, it was so cold since we were under a severa storm advisory and of course Discount tire was closed.
How can a freshly replaced tire come of the rim. SIMPLE THEY DO NOT KNOW HOW TO DO THEIR JOB AND THEIR EMPLOYEES ARE NOT QUALIFY. I had bit way to get home that night and the next day and now my car is sitting on a parking lot at work and it’s costing me so much money. I WANT TO SUE THEM. DO NOT GET YOUR TIRES FROM THEM.
Please use a bead sealer before mounting tire on rim!
While you my get lucky and have a tire hold air without using a bead sealer it's not the best practice and compromises safety and performance. Sealant is necessary for the system to work as intended. Sealant keeps the tire stationary on the rim while braking and cornering. Promotes tire integrity while preventing dangerous tire failure.

They tried to scam me into buying 2 new tires that I did not need. I had a nail in my tire and took it to them to repair. They inspected ALL the tires on my car and said it should not be a problem. Then I waited over an hour until a tech came and found me and told me the tire was too damaged to repair. Then he took me to the counter where another guy told me they do not have my tire in stock. He said they could put a larger tire on, but I would need to buy 2 to balance. i told them my tires were less than a year old and there was no way I could replace 2 for no reason. I asked them to just put my spare on the car. They told me it was probably no good to do that because my car is a 2019 and it would probably be too damaged/old to put on the car. I asked if they could just put my tire back on and then I would take it back to Walmart because if it was too damaged for repair, the tire is under warranty and they would replace it. They said they could not do that. So basically they were holding my car hostage until I bought tires from them. I told them to put my spare on my car so I could leave. He told me he would inspect it and see if it was okay. They finally did, because of course my spare tire was completely fine. I took my car back to Walmart the next day. I told them I had a nail in my tire and I may need a new tire and asked them if they would look at it. They plugged the tire, said there was no issue or reason the tire could not be plugged, and sent me on my way. Discount Tires tries to scam women into buying tires they do not need.

They cost me 208.00 dollars. Had tire rotation and balance appointment at 3232 e catus. While waiting manger came and told me 1 lug nut was cross treaded but they could get it off. If it was cross threaded, you guys did it last time. You are the only ones who do my tires, bought my fuel rims on the truck from you as well. Or did your guy bust it. Mistakes happen. After all, not certified mechanics. Been coming for over 10 years. Instead of trying to help he passed the buck. They could not fix it. They gave me the nut that broke off at the stud and sent me one my way. Went to brake master store 213 GREAT SERVICE. 208.00 DOLLARS LATER THEY FIXED IT.
Outstanding Support When It Mattered Most
We’re currently on a holiday road trip and will be traveling until January 3. Within the first three days of our trip, we had a STEM valve issue with our trailer twice, which could have easily derailed our journey.
The teams at Discount Tire in Bossier City, LA and Monroe, LA were absolutely incredible. Both locations helped us quickly, professionally, and with genuine care. They took the time to make sure everything was handled properly and that we felt safe before getting back on the road.

Excessive wait time
I’ve been a customer of Discount Tire for 10+ years.
12/15 at 4:07 pm wanting a tire rotation at store on East/West Connector, Marietta GA. Sitting 1 hour my car hasn't been touched, meanwhile they’re busy doing air checks on drive ups. 1-1/2 hrs my car still not touched.
They close at 6 pm. This is unreasonable and not good customer service. What is happening to customer service and is customer loyalty no longer important?
They tell you 1 hour and it ends up being 3 hours
I was at this location on Wednesday the 3rd from 10:19am to 1:20pm. The two "managers" I dealt with were James Lake and Brandon Curtis (their cards were in front of the computer they were using).When I arrived I was told between an 1 hour to 1.5 hours "out the door". I stated if it's going to be 2 or more hours I'll make an appointment for another day (tire pressure sensor was bad). I was assured 1-1.5 hours. After 1:45 minutes I asked when my car was going to be serviced. I was told 30 minutes "out the door" (12:15). AT 12:50 now I'm really mad I went to get my refund and leave and James stated they are finally pulling it in at 1:00 and finished at 1:20. Over 3 hours sitting there when I could have made a appointment for another day. It's obviously Discount Tire trains their staff to lie to customers to try and keep them from leaving. I HATE BEING LIED TOO!!!!! So if they tell you 1.5 hours, count on 3 hours!!!!!
Quite disappointed with the employee Mark
Quite disappointed with the employee Mark at the Friendswood, Texas store. Poor customer service and less than adequate people skills. I ordered the spare tire shown in the pictures (note that it is supposed to include the rim), yet when I showed up to pick it up, the rim was not included. When I politely asked why, Mark acted like I'm such ignorant customer as in his opinion I am supposed to guess that what I paid for does not include the rim. Yet again and again, I pointed to the receipt showing the tire WITH THE RIM. he frowned, stopped responding to me, and when I asked for a refund, he seemed annoyed to give me my money back. So, if you still decide to go to this location, I strongly recommend you avoid this Mark individual.
Not looking out for the customer!
I took my car to Discount tire to have a flat fixed. All they wanted was for me to buy a new tire. They told me that the tire could not be fixed. I then took the tire to a local tire shop. they fixed it with no problem. Avoid them at all costs, they are not the same tire company that they used to be.
Mt Prospect, IL *scam operation*
I had purchased the tire certificate warranty for my car that provides free lifetime rotation and balance. Worker came back stating all 4 tires were exactly worn for 4/32 needing replacements and they would not rotate nor balance the tires.
I went to a different shop and they showed me the gage showing nearly 6/32 of tread. These did not need to be replaced and some were a little more worn than others and cited that a rotation would extend its life even further.
Discount tire has turned into a scam center. I would not recommend them to anyone.

Not a Pleasant Experience at Discount Tire (Tilch Rd, Macomb, MI)
I went to Discount Tire on Tilch Rd. in Macomb, MI on Friday, October 10th, 2025, to purchase two tires. I spent a significant amount of time working with Audrey, the salesperson, who tried to order the tires for me since they weren't available in-store. I was told the tires would be in by Monday, and I specifically mentioned that I needed them by 1-2 PM EST.
When it came to pricing, I noticed a discrepancy between the online price and the price quoted in-store. I asked both Audrey and the other person at the register about this, and I was told the tires were discontinued, with newer, more expensive ones available in the shop. I agreed to pay the higher price, as it was explained that the price in-store would apply, not the online price, and I was assured that I’d receive a call once the tires arrived.
On Monday, October 13th, I received a call at 10:47 AM saying that my tires were ready and to bring the vehicle in. I did so, and was told I would be called once the installation was complete. However, by 2 PM, I hadn’t received any updates, so I called them myself to check on the status. Turns out, they had already installed the tires, but no one had bothered to reach out to me, as promised.
When I asked about the lack of a call, I was told that for some reason, the system didn’t send me a text update. To make matters worse, I wasn’t informed that the tire pressure would be low until I drove the car for a bit. As a customer, I felt the communication was poor, and I was left dissatisfied with the overall service.
Overall, my experience at this location was frustrating, especially with the lack of follow-through on the promises made by the staff. I expected better service and transparency.

Terrible. The newly opened Cotton lane location in Goodyear, Az charges more for services than any other location in a 20 mile radius. I call them for a quote, then call 3 other stores and they're always more expensive than everyone else. Very strange as I thought pricing was the same between stores. Happened twice in 1 week. Will never return
Bad customer service
We purchased 4 brand new tires at Discount Tire in Plano, Texas The rims were filthy with grease and fingerprints. I took the car back to them and complained about the way they looked. The manager gave me a song and dance about how the grease was from getting the tire on the wheel. He said the fingerprints and grease on the rims was because they were dirty to begin with and they are not responsible for how they look!
Not happy with that response!

I have been doing business with Discount Tire for years but now they lost my business. My daughter went in for a nail in her tire the salesman tried to tell her she needed new tires. He didn’t know that she was with me. I told him that he was a liar because the tires were fairly new with a lot of tread left on them. Left me wondering how many people do they scam every day.
Ridiculous upselling by their staff
Ridiculous upselling by their staff. My wife went in because she had a slowly leaking front tire. Thought it was the valve stem. After a 45 minute wait Chad at the front said that he wouldnt even drive the car into the shop if she didnt purchase two new rear tires. By the way i check and there is 50% tread left on the rears.
I ended up taking the car up the street where they saw a nail in it and repaired it with a plug for a total of $27.
Taking advantage of a Women's lack of knowledge about cars if pretty lowlife in my opinion
After two weeks of dealing with the Territory manager I have learned that it was all our fault. Really? I was told that because my wife's tires were 6 years old and below the their acceptable tread wear limit that they wouldn't work on the car! The fact that they pressured my wife to buy 2 new back tires because they couldnt even drive it into their service bay to fix what ended up being a nail hole must have gone over the Manager's head. He did admit that they should have at least helped her out by putting on a spare or taking a look at it and had NO answer as to why they didnt.
We were offered a brand new set of 4 tires as a bribe to change our rating or keep quite about our experience. The manager completely missed the point obviously.

When i say RACIST, I mean every letter! I stopped by Discount Tire Bossier City on yesterday. Informed that i should be here this morning at 7:15 so that i could be the first car they worked on. I was here by 7:10, before some of the employees even got here. At least six cars have came in after me. They have completed the work on all of those cars and all I need is for my tires to be balanced. They've tried to up-sell me tires, even told me that my lugs needed to be "hammered" off. The best part is when an employee called me STUPID for asking what was going on, why is it taking so long, and why all of the vehicles that got here after I did are gone. I've asked for the number to corporate several times. (At least 10) It was just given to me after I believe it is the manager tried to explain that they need to use a different socket to get the lugs off. I kept asking where did the hammer come in at and if they had the socket, what's the problem. I keep getting the run around while they keep pulling other cars in and pulling them out. We have purchased these tires from Discount. (not this location) We've purchased ALL of the tires on all of our vehicles from Discount Tire. I've never been treated like this, felt like this or seen this happen before in my life. I am truly amazed, hurt and shocked. I know I'm in the south, but WOW! DISCOUNT TIRE BOSSIER CITY LOUISIANA, you've disrespected a loyal customer with this one. Did I mention that EVERY customer that they have put in front of me are of a different color than I am.
