I have just realised that they have been taking £14.99 from my account for the past 3 years which at no time did I sign up to or give permission. I have contacted the company and they fobbed me off by saying that the bank should be investigating this and refused to offer any refund. It is currently sitting with my bank to investigate so fingers crossed I get refunded. I had to cancel my card to get the payment to stop. Total fraud

I signed up and paid for one month. I cancelled, checked by telephone that this was the case. The next day 14.99 was taken from my account. I then had to phone them again, they apologised and guaranteed that my account was closed and took 5 working days to return my money. Now again this month they have 14.99 out.

shambolic dishonest organisation that should be banned from operating in UK. Awful customer service, incompetent people in the contact centre, illegal, errors and data gaps actions affecting consumers' record. Simply should be banned in UK!

awful, held the wrong information on me for years, after contacting them about it told it would be corrected however, 5 months ,7 emails and 5 phone calls later still not right!

Stopped me applying for a loan because of their terrible service! Worst company ever

I would not recommend this service. They do not update your details. They only know what you told them. Their whole credit protection system is a scam. I had new address and new loan on my account and they haven't picket this up. They delay refund process, on basis of complaint policy, 8 weeks time. if you end up chargingback they delay it even more and you loose at least 2 months payment. Do straight chargeback don't even bother speak to them if you want your money back. From experience it is better to get credit card with direct debit on full amount and make sure you are on electoral roll.

I just woke up this morning to find that they have taken the last £15 in my account.

They didn't send a warning or reminder email that they will start taking money from my account. I believe a responsible company should do that.

I'm shocked by all the poor scores. Today I've spent the best part of 2 hours back and forth from the team who have done everything they could to help me and advise what I should do after some scum has used my info and applied for cards in my name. Sian and Luke where polite professional and caring. They advised me what I could do my end and gave me a timeline of the things they do their end. Virgin money where rude and condescending by comparison need to be educated in how to reassure someone in these all too common situations. All experians help was free 10/10 to you all

Total scam i cancelled my subscription and then 12 hours later payment was taken from my account when i called to complain they claimed my bank sent them the payment if their own accord

No idea how did they become UK no1 & UK gov cerified company. Website work 10% of the time and never works 90% percent of the time.

I checked my credit rating on the experian website and much to my horror it was significantly below where it was previously. I then signed up to Credit Expert in order to understand why this is. When I entered the platform, I discovered I had a perfect credit rating- 150 odd points above what they told me initially.

When I phoned customer services they were unable to provide an explanation and refused to refund me the 1st month's membership fee. Experian's complete contempt for its customers is obvious.

I've got a feeling that if I ever actually managed to use my login, this review might slip down to 1 star. Password correction doesn't work and as you can't actually speak to them then there is no way in. There are 3 credit score companies in the UK. They can be accessed through this lot, Clear Score and Noddle. The last two work really well and are simple to access - that should give you a pretty clear idea of your credit score without the frustration of having to deal with Experian.

Experian is one of the most ignorant Credit Reference agencies out there.They simply do not acknowledge basic rudimentary observances from their Customers. I am after all a customer of Experian.
I was away for two months and for some reason completely overlooked a a credit card payment to Capital One. Capital One is yet another fabulously poor Company and they decided that I had gone away even though they knew all my addresses.
So in their Wisdom they called this outstanding account a default.
Once I had discovered what was going on I paid it all off and it is now settled. Every other Credit Reference Agency calls this entry in their files : Current Status: ' Settled ' However in their wisdom and their vindictive MO Experian just call it : Current Status: 'Defaulted account' and underneath it says Balance: 0. I have taken this to the FInancial Ombudsman (and they themselves are quickly becoming the darling of all the financial institutions) by never upholding logical and in the spirit of the law rulings. Instead they always favour the Institution no matter how logical an argument is put forward. The FOS themselves are not fit for purpose any longer. They decided that they could not dictate to Experian how they showed a previous default even though it was entirely different from the way other Agencies showed a default. Experian incidentally will not even allow me to put a correction on the file because they know full well that it would expose them to being a Draconian and over the top institution that goes out of its way to harm people that have done very little wrong. I am now going for the last resort and that is The FCA and let us see what they do, because the way EXPERIAN is reporting this file is just plainly wrong.
I advise everyone to check their files carefully as Experian get alot of things very wrong

Fine until you try to leave. They don't respond to e-mails, they ask for details you've already provided, basically do as much as possible to make it hard for you to cancel your account. They don't take payment by direct debit so you can't cancel it. Had to threaten leagal action for them to respond and close my account. Awful company to deal with, it's a service that shouldn't feel like a scam but the way they act when you try to leave makes you think it is.

If i could i would give these scum bags no stars or minus. I was advised to check my credit score from this website thinking it was free. As this is advertised all over the website. I don't usually check my transactions but decided to do so today for some reason, then I saw experian.co.uk - £14.99 and this has been happening for the last few months. I can't believe in paying £14.99 a month for a service I don't even use!. I may aswell just burn the money ffs. They are a scam site that doesn't inform you properly of their intentions. If i had seen they where going to take my money from me every month for nothing I would have never ever ever signed up. Feel totally ripped off and they should all be arrested.

Have been unable to login to creditexpert.co.uk for approx. 2 weeks due to a new system, I was advised that the login issues were caused by the implementation of a new system, I spent an hour on the phone with support and he advised to delete my existing Experian account (which he deleted) and setup a new account (which I did yesterday), I received an email this morning advising that my application for Experian was rejected and there is no number I can call to speak to someone before Monday. I have now signed up with checkmyfile, clearscore, and Noddle.

I can see a constant flow of bad reviews on here of which i totally concur with. What is strange is how this company is allowed to carry on behaving like this in this country? i also have signed up to the expert £15 a month to which i cant log into the online site, i have also tried to call them but after waiting for 30 mins or so i gave up.

now i must find a way to convince my bank to stop paying them.

Waste of time, don't respond to complaints, online service and App don't work most of the time and they bill you even though you have cancelled the subscription.

Equifax is a better choice
