Despite requesting my membership to be cancelled they carried on billing me for 8 months. I even cancelled my card and had a new one issued during this time but they were still able to take money from my account (and it wasn't a Direct Debit).

Trying to call them is a waste of time, was left on hold for 25 mins before giving up. Will now go to my bank and request a charge back, seems like it's the only way.

Their customer service is the worst I ever experienced. Their score rules are unknown and unreliable.
What a mistake to subscribe their service!

Thinking of taking out the free trial? DON'T!

Took out the free trial. Cancelled 2/3 weeks later. Cancellation hadn't been processed and my card charged with £14.99. Complained by email. Takes 24 hours to respond. I am now waiting 48 hours on my latest email (that I sent Friday in reply to their response telling me nothing can be done. Requested complaints procedure and nothing back. Now Wednesday (Monday bank holiday).

They are not concerned about dealing with my complaint in the slightest. When you consider it takes 24-48 hours to get a response even if a refund was accepted this whole issue could take weeks to resolve.

Company has declined into a farce - they used to have a great service and helped stop fraud on my account 5 years ago - since then they have done nothing and now cannot report accurately.
A shame that a good company has become so dreadful - your reviews say it all.

I cancelled my card linked to creditexpert and had a new card delivered from LLoyds with a totally different number on it yet 1 month later creditexpert to money off my new card, even though i had never used it!!! How can that happen? Are the banks in cahoots with this company? Disgusting. Do not use?

Terrible company to deal with. I would use equfax. I was added to the electoral role 10 weeks ago and they still haven't updated my report. Awful awful awfull. I then called up and asked them to investigate it and they tell me 28 days reply.

Awful they they have taken the last of the money I had to live on from my bank. Wish I read the reviews first.

Disgusting I cancelled my account with them and they have taken the last of my money out of my account. Completely appalled by this company so wish I had read the reviews.

I am unsure as to how this scam company is allowed to continue operating. My close friend went through a tough divorce and had to use a significant amount of credit. He opened a Credit Expert account when he was refused credit when applying to remortgage.

A year later and he now has a Credit Expert rating of 971 out of 1000. Amazing improvement? Nope, he hasn't done anything.

He owes 5.4 times his salary on an interest only mortgage that he has no way of repaying the capital of. He is £21,000 in debt on various credit cards and pays off only the minimum amount every month. He has missed payments on two accounts in the last month and many missed payments over this year already. He is maxed out on 2 of his 4 credit cards but they just keep increasing the credit limit.

How, by any stretch of the imagination, can somebody in this situation have an almost perfect credit score?

guess what everyone!!! cancelled this service after being a customer for nearly 18 month's and yes they are still talking money out of my account.....
Now they will find them self in court !!

To cut a very long story short, I recently found out that I have been paying 14.99 for nearly 18 months on a credit card that I cut up and have not been using. When I called my credit card company to check how much money I had left to pay, it was only because the advisor said as part of their security questions, "what is your monthly direct debit amount total to experian?"
I was so shocked because I had called to cancel my membership over 18 months ago but they continued to charge me - it turned out I had 2 open memberships with them (god knows how) and they only closed one account and kept another open - after a few weeks of numerous phone calls and complaints, I am getting half of my money back. Be persistent if you want to complain and if you're not happy take to the financial ombudsman. I would definitely avoid this company and try elsewhere, the organisation is a shambles.

Experian is an absolutely shameful company. They make it extremely difficult to cancel any membership with them and they force people who have been victims of fraud to pay to get access to their credit file.

They make very little effort to correct errors and their only objective is to extract as much money as possible out of victims of fraud.

Why the Government does not protect us consumers from the likes of Experian? Why do we have to pay £14.99 (or even £2) to get access to information held about ourselves?

They've added my dads creditscore to my report, since he has bad credit history, so that has affected me to, and I've explained that to them with no reply from experian. The've damaged my creditscore BADLY.

If I could give 0 stars I would. They have been charging me without my consent for over a year. I even cancelled my debit card and they found a way of charging me. An outrageous company.

Don't sign up with these gangsters. They advertise a free service but after 30 days charge 14.99 a month. Then they make it almost impossible to cancel. Both Clearscore and Noddle now provide the same service genuinely free. Considering that you are probably only checking your credit rating if you are experiencing difficulties these people are just preying on the vulnerable. Avoid!

What a bunch of crooks ..they tell you free trial ..but if you have been with them in the last 6 years they charge you straight away .I only found out when I saw cc charges and called them to ask why

This is the worse thing ever this company like many other credit company's ruins your life. We are all stimitised and opinions and concerns do not matter at all. I am currently under the court of protection and because of this my deputy has been allowed to put information on this website to stop me getting any form of credit if needed, because the law allows them to put this information on this has effected me in a great negative way they need to be stopped and. Loses down they ruin you life. you

Appallingly difficult to cancel and then they continue to charge my card a month after cancellation! Abysmal.

I'd recommend paying the £2 for your statutory credit report but would otherwise not go near these in future.

I went through your reviews before I contacted Credit Expert. and found similarity in what was reviewed and also the figure of £14.99 mentioned quite a few times.While asking security questions and details they still tried to sell me their products, they even asked for my bank card details.
My question is has anyone received received a satisfactory settlement and how do I go about it.

I have bad credit due to a past relationship. Thought I'd keep a check on my file whilst I get my finances in order. I knew the cost, but was happy to pay it to untangle and make sense of the mess that I am steadily leaving behind.

I went through the application process, got my report and was pleased. It gave me all the information I required. I was happy to (as per my plan), continue to pay whilst I was paying off the last few debts. Then BOOM!! Problems started!

I had given credit card details (a well known and trusted company, no problem hey?!) they started to take payment. All good. I was using the service. All good. Then...

I couldn't login one day. 99% sure I input the correct password etc. but I couldn't get on.

Not concerned, I asked for a username/password reminder but it didn't recognise my details! Clearly my details (name, DOB, previous address and surname etc) were input correctly when I applied as I was presented with my full and correct credit history when I applied.

I phoned the number that was given, but they didn't recognise me. They are still taking money though from my card. I have telephoned and written on numerous occasions but they still don't recognise my details and are still stealing my money.

If they don't have my details, then I shouldn't have my credit report. They are con merchants. They say they are there to help but only cost you financially.

I will get this sorted. My credit card company has taken proof of my problem and is now investigating it as fraud.

In the meantime I am paying for a service I can't use. I am lucky as I am back on my feet and can afford the cost but I am sure many others can't.
