Pros and cons
Pros.
Great food, staff and stop offs.
Cons.
No hot water in cabin for first 4 days
We could not regulate the air conditioning. It was always on extra cold, leaving both of us with sore. Horse throats and a bad chest of which we are both still suffering from.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts. It’s encouraging to read that the food, crew and ports were highlights, as these elements shape the enjoyment of a small-ship voyage.
Practical experiences on board matter as well. Points about cabin facilities and air conditioning will be investigated with our local team, as comfort plays an important role over several days at sea. Feedback of this kind helps focus attention where improvements bring the most benefit.
We’re pleased the stops and service stood out, and hope future travel brings more of the same positive moments.
Kind regards,

A lovely holiday that provided a great introduction to Greece
We particularly enjoyed the land portion of the trip on the Greek mainland. We visited some amazing ancient sites and cities. The food and hotels we stayed in were excellent. Our guide and driver were also excellent.
We then joined our ship Caledonian Sky and really enjoyed this section of our trip which we found more relaxing. The crew were very friendly and attentive. The food was all first class and freshly prepared. The visit to the various islands were great, particularly because the smaller ship was able to dock at most places. Ephesis was a real highlight of this part of the tour. Another highlight was the evenings entertainment provided by crew members. They were a very talented group and their singing was very enjoyable. A surprising but lovely end to our cruise.

Thank you so much for sharing such a wonderful and detailed review. We’re delighted to hear that your holiday provided a memorable introduction to Greece, and that the land portion of your journey, its ancient sites, excellent hotels, and the expertise of your guide and driver, made such a strong impression.
It’s equally lovely to hear how much you enjoyed your time aboard Caledonian Sky. We’re thrilled the relaxed atmosphere, friendly and attentive crew, and freshly prepared first-class food helped make this part of your trip so special. Your comments about the island visits, especially the ability to dock in smaller ports, are greatly appreciated and we’re so pleased Ephesus was a highlight for you.
We’re also delighted that the evening entertainment from the crew added an unexpected but memorable touch to your cruise. They will be thrilled to know their talent and enthusiasm made such an impact.
We’d be delighted to welcome you on another journey in the future.

It’s wonderful to hear the comfort of the ship and cabin stood out, along with the many friendly and helpful crew members on board. Their warmth and service are central to the experience.

We’re delighted that the ship and crew made a strong impression and hope the journey brought many memorable moments.

Small group tour of Sri Lanka
Excellent tour of an excellent country with an excellent guide. Hotels were, perhaps unsurprisingly, excellent and our companions were too. Lovely people. Special mention for exceptional excellence goes to our driver/guide Sidney for whom nothing was too much trouble. Saw loads, will remember much. Thoroughly recommended.

Fantastic holiday at Capella Cruising
My husband and I had a great time at Capella river cruising of the Danube Passau to Budapest for 8 day holiday, from 9 Sept-16 Sept 2025. The management and staff were welcoming, approachable and have a friendly smile. I'd like to mention names; Mr. Stefan and his team, John, Vi, Gilroy, Huni, Miles, James, etc.
Overall, the service was excellent and highly recommended this holiday journey. We would like to come back and enjoy this fantastic time all over again.

Sri Lanka small group tour
From the moment of arrival this was a truly a VIP tour. Fast tracked through immigration and take to our hotel where we met our chauffeur and tour guide Sidney together with the other two guests, yes only four of us.
Two wonderful weeks visiting numerous sights, not rushed plenty of time to explore and ask questions. Running overtime was not a problem for Sidney he just rescheduled.
Hotels were excellent with comfortable rooms and great food selection.
Experiences included within the tour were excellent and included a Sri Lankan cooking class at Cinnamon Lodge Hotel which ended with us cooking our own lunch. The full itinerary is on Travelmavel website.

Thank you for this fantastic review — it truly means the world to us!
We’re delighted to hear your Sri Lanka tour felt like a VIP experience from start to finish. APTouring was founded on the idea that travel should be personal, unhurried, and deeply enriching — and it’s clear that Sidney and the team delivered just that.
With only four guests on your tour, we’re so pleased you could enjoy the flexibility and individual attention that makes small-group travel so special. Sidney’s ability to adjust plans on the go and give you the space to fully take in each destination is exactly the kind of care we strive for on every journey.
It’s also wonderful to know the hotels, food, and immersive experiences like the cooking class at Cinnamon Lodge made a lasting impression. We carefully select every part of the itinerary to bring Sri Lanka’s culture, flavors, and history to life — and it’s great to hear it all came together so well for you.
Thank you again for choosing APTouring — and for sharing your experience. We hope to welcome you on another unforgettable adventure soon!

Had a great trip around the Greek Islands
Had a great trip around the Greek islands on a small cruise ship, Caledonian Sky. However the ship is quite tired and in need of modernisation in some areas. The staff, food and wines were brilliant and we enjoyed the al fresco dining. Our bathroom needed updating, it had a plastic shower curtain which was falling off, however the staff repaired it. Organised trips were dealt with in a very organised manor and we couldn't fault Travel Marvel (travel company) at all.

Best of Balkans review
All staff were great! Love the ‘family’ feel.
Food was excellent.
Cabin clean and comfortable - as was the rest of the ship.
Internet was not reliable.
Some ports of call involved long coach journeys.

Thank you for your review. We’re so pleased you enjoyed the welcoming atmosphere on board, the excellent food, and the comfort of your cabin and ship.
We do acknowledge that Wi-Fi can sometimes be less reliable on the rivers, and that certain ports require longer coach journeys to reach the highlights of the region. Your feedback is valuable and helps us continue refining the experience. We’re delighted the overall journey was such a positive one and hope to welcome you back on board soon.

Croatian Coast Cruise on the Caledonian Sky
A wonderful cruise with interesting stops along the way. Excellent organisation ensuring everyone knew what and when events were happening, great food, happy crew who looked after us so well.
Disappointed with cabin and tried to upgrade, but none free. Strong smell of diesel and water quality in bathroom very poor. It came out red and full of rust. A crew member tried his best to correct but explained the old copper pipes needed replacing.
We did mention this in the handwritten review we were asked to complete on board as we were told someone would respond to any negative comments.
Just booked a riverboat cruise with a competitor - sorry.

Didn't get the important bit right. Such a disappointment.
So lets start with what you didn't do well. This was meant to be a celebration of 50 years of marriage with a particular focus on our time in Broome and a sunset dinner cruise. The hotel was not informed of this special day, so nothing from them. The dinner cruise was a disaster with Mein Host playing the fool and seemingly also forgetting about our anniversary. No safety briefing, the wrong food, a sick chef, food in peoples laps, etc etc We have repeatedly asked why our anniversary was ignored and still await an answer.

Odpowiedź od Travelmarvel Premium Cruise and Tours
Thank you for sharing your experience. We’re truly disappointed to learn that such a special milestone was not recognised as intended and that the sunset dinner cruise fell so far short of expectations. We can see that your 50th anniversary was noted in the booking and will be reviewing this carefully with our suppliers to understand why it was overlooked and to prevent a recurrence. Your detailed feedback on the cruise and hotel communication has been shared with our operations team for review.

Our tour guide was fantastic
Our tour guide was fantastic. She knew her stuff, ensured we were all on time and sorted out any problems that occurred on the way. She also told us good places to eat when we had free time. We saw everything on the itinerary and had time to photograph on our stops on the way from one town to the next.
