Im a first timer ordering from you... the communication was great and to have that e mail thanking me made me think you're great. The product is great and the chutneys included are magnificent.. I wouldnt hesitate from ordering from you again

How happy was I to finally find a…

How happy was I to finally find a miniature bottle of Amarula! More so as it is a gift for a special occasion. I waited longer than anticipated for delivery but Royal Mail was at fault not Savanna. Fast forward till today my package has arrived securely wrapped. However my heart absolutely sank when I opened it. The bottle was dirty and covered in a sticky substance, quite possibly the bottle has leaked or something has spilt onto the bottle before it was packaged. Utterly disappointed as this was my first time using this website. Cannot gift the item as intended and quite frankly a waste of money.

We completely understand your disappointment, especially as this was purchased as a gift for a special occasion. Receiving a bottle covered in a sticky substance is certainly not the presentation or experience we would expect for our customers.

Arrived early!!

Arrived early!!! Beautifully packaged, and the boerewors was in a cold pack. Absolutely amazing as usual

Inedible Gem Squashes

I am currently in UK - originally from Zimbabwe where my favourite veg was Gem Squash. They were always fresh, juicy and creamy. With that in mind I ordered a punnet of Gems from you thinking I was going to get the same quality as I remember. There is a local farmer who used to grow them but he stopped a while back hence my excitement at finding that you guys import them.
Sadly, I was very disappointed in the quality of those I received.
They had extremely hard skins that had already yellowed and extremely difficult to pierce with a fork as I used to do back home. They were also stringy and I had to cook them longer than normal to make sure they were edible.
All in all, I threw out the uneaten remainder (I ate 2 or 3) and decided not to buy anything else from your shop.

We understand how disappointing it must have been to receive gem squash with such hard skins and a stringy texture, particularly when you were looking forward to recreating that familiar experience.

Our current gem squash is fresh and was harvested recently, but we appreciate that freshness alone does not make up for a product that did not meet the quality you expected. We will certainly pass your feedback on to the relevant team and address this matter.

Rubbish Koeksisters

I've just received my first delivery from Savannah. Order No. 13636198334845. I'm delighted that my 10 bottles of Mrs Balls were so well packed that there's no breakages. My creamed sweetcorn tins are dented but that's okay.
My HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT is the koeksisters. I popped them in my basket as a little treat. They are tiny, over-cooked (very dark brown) and a bit dense. They are definitely not the treat I was expecting when I eagerly opened the box... and they are really expensive for such an inferior product.

Very happy with the service and how my issue was resolved

I am very happy with the service I received from The Savanna. There was a mistake with my original order and a few items were missing, but after I contacted them, they responded and handled the issue very well. I really appreciate that they listened to me, trusted me as their customer, and arranged for the missing items to be sent. I received everything this morning and I am very pleased. Mistakes can happen, but what matters is how a company responds, and The Savanna handled my concern professionally. Thank you so much for your excellent customer service.
