Customer service was quick to respond and very helpful. Despite all efforts to resolve my problem, they ended up having to replace my MeatStick. Thank you very much MeatStick people!!!

Wasn't great when it didn't work when needed, but hopefully the quick warranty replacement will fix the issue.

Ambient temperature on my Weber 22 charcoal grill was 400 on cover. Ambient temperature using another 2 wired probes 395 as close to meat stick probe

This item is a game changer, especially for longer grilling sessions.

My replacement meat stick worked PERFECT. As my first ones purchased over a year ago never worked properly, they appeared to be defective. The company was receptive and assisted me in getting some newer upgraded ones.
I deleted the old app and installed the new one. Smoked a Tri Tip to perfection. I have not tried the miniX yet. I don't have a bridge gizmo. But it all cooks work like last night, I will be satisfied.
Some comments:
1. I'm older (67). The App tutorial is way too fast to be useful (for me). I use paper instructions or easy to read texted instructions. It would be nice to have something that clearly defines what the LED lights mean. It's simple? Write it down for dummies.
If there are certain selections in the app that need to be made for the thing to work, make it simple. The app should be set up with those. Then only the phone selections need be set up.
2. When initially during setup, selecting which stick I have for the app to use, it is very confusing. There are a lot of different options and they don't simply "line up" without a guess.
3. I'd say that the MeatStick cooked 3F below what my previously used wired probe cooked. One is more right?
4. The alarm went off 6F below the target temperature as indicated.
Then the DONE, LET'S EAT" alarm went off 3F below the target temperature. I edited the target temperature during the cook and while it changed the target, it still went off 3F below target. Why?
I can make these work.
The app indications are good to determine the changing cook temps. I like that it tells you the time of cook. "Time remaining" really didn't accomplish much as it was always 2 minutes.
Easy to clean.
It worked from inside a Masterbuilt Electric smoker outside the house and into the kitchen.
The app remained open and didn't use a lot of power.
A simple paper showing what the indications mean, what the colors mean, what the app selections mean and why you would choose something else and the differences between the cooks (as far as the app works) would be useful to this older guy.

Great Father's Day deal on items I needed. Grilled steaks are now cooked to perfection. Highly recommended.

Jeg forventede et produkt der havde høj funktionalitet og var enkelt at bruge. Jeg nåede ikke til at teste den i praksis. Da jeg efter, at have kæmpet mig gennem installation af deres app, hvor de stædigt, blandt en masse andet krævede adgang til min position og email var jeg træt af deres app.
Da jeg efter dette overgreb fik mulighed for at åbne appen, var der en tosset kakofoni at valgmulighed, som kun havde til undskyldning, at retfærdiggøre det intensive indgreb i mit privatliv.
Jeg skal kun bruge temperatur og alarm. Jeg kan selv finde mine opskrifter og er ligeglad med deres fif.

Bare find et andet produkt. Prisen matcher overhovedet ikke produktet.

Har brugt termometeret 5 gange - nu kan appen ikke længere finde termometeret. Helt disk er ubrugelig . Har fulgt alle forslag uden resultat.

Ordered the MeatStick Mini. It's horrible.

The product broke down from heat after 2 cooks. A thermometer, with plastic breaking into pieces from the heat. Really?

The connection is terrible. Even if I have my iPhone 12 on top of my oven, it might not connect. There might be a delay where the temperature jumps suddenly to a lot more than desired since the connection was lost in between.

And Popups. Do you like pop-ups? The meatstick app certainly does. Every time, a million popups. Unnecessary information I simply don't care about.

Also, you must enable specific GPS location. Which...leads to more pop-ups as iOS will ask "do you want this app to keep tracking your location in the background" and if you click "no", then the MeatStick app will give you alert pop-ups that they need that information.

Apparently the meatstick must know my address exactly to work. But...actually, it does not. If I disable that feature, it'll still work. But, you guessed it – there are more annoying popups! Be ready to click X about 5 times just to set up a cook for a steak.

It's just so much more hassle than an old-fashioned thermometer. All the steps to launch the app, clicking a million buttons, connecting the bluetooth, just to have it not be connected and alert you too late. And, the plastic to break down from the heat. It's a no for me.

I tried contacting their customer support. After about 3 emails I decided it simply was not worth it. They didn't really seem to care and tried to forward me to a dutch language support channel so I just gave up and decided to write this review hoping the next person will not waste their money on this bad product.

The thing just won’t pair. They have no timely avenue to support the product.

I accidentally unpaired the thermometer last night after a successful cook. I tried to connect it this afternoon and I’ve been working on it for over 2 hours. I also have a Ph. D. In electrical engineering from Vanderbilt so I think I should be able to figure out the MeatStick, but I guess that’s not enough to use their products.

All lights me setting are correct according to the app. I’ve started a support ticket, emailed, and left a voicemail. They just don’t respond in a timely manner which renders the product useless. As I said, I’ve been working on this for well over 2 hours. It was a bear to pair the first time, and I haven’t figured out the magic sequence in the last two hours. Just save yourself the frustration and buy something other than the MeatStick.

Absolute useless piece of garbage, don't waste your money!
I have purchased 4 sticks, a regular Mini and a MiniX and NONE of them work properly. Twice I have tried using them, both times it was a damn disaster. Contacted support and they're just sending me useless template answers which none of them solved the issue and they're refusing a refund claiming Kickstarter policies don't allow them to do so.

Garbage company with garbage products!
