 Before I start my review I wanna acknowledge that the meat stick version that I bought has been in the garbage for a couple of years now. My issues with it were that in order to charge it it had to be in their little case which you couldn’t plug-in you had to use AA batteries and then when I get ready to go Cook my probes are always dead. I noticed that there used to be a charging port but apparently they did away with that to use a couple AA batteries. That was real genius thinking. Yes I’m going to be sarcastic. Anyway when you call customer service they spend all this time with you and it was appreciated but at the same time if you’ve made a product so complicated then you’ve lost a lot of customers. It should simply be charge the probes up the probe should always be ready for your Cook and simply connected to the system and it works. But when you gotta sit there and watch this green light does what this red light does this yellow light does. I don’t have time for that the Bluetooth on it and Wi-Fi are sketchy at best. My main reason for even doing this review was that I couldn’t believe that this product got a 3.9 rating which tells me that the people are in these reviews are probably being paid to do it. Of course I’ll be fair it’s been at least three years since I used a meat stick. The last time I used it I cleaned the probes making sure that they were clear of any kind of debris on the probe and at the end of the probe were the connecting ChargePoint were. I then plugged it up all night it got a good 12 hour charge and I stuck one probe in and no problem at all it worked fine. But the other one showed a full charge when I’ve plugged it in and 30 minutes later it’s saying it’s going dead and I had already been dealing with customer service who again were nice but I realize this product deserve to go in the trash. I might add that I went on Amazon and I found an all in one dual probe device and I’ve had it now for three years I’ve never had an issue out of it.

It cannot send a signal through my smoker walls it even with the smart base signsl extender. So for me it is not fit for purpose. If you want to use it in your smoker then it probably will not work. I used it for rotisserie chicken with the lid up and it worked but with lid down it did not. I'm very disappointed. It just is not what it's promised to be.

The new Wi-Fi & Bluetooth Meatsitck V with Probe works well. My ambient smoker temp was finally accurate and easy to monitor.

One software item I don’t like. When using all three of my Meatstick V (only one with probe) App showed the probe temp across all three cooks. It should be just one stick.

I liked the ease of placement of the probe. The rack clip works well.

Software is a bit buggy as the probe set point would not update when changed unless restarting the cook.

Overall I’m pleased with the product.

Resolved my issues quickly. The meatstick device and software are easy to use and provide great results.

Ordering was easy and delivery was prompt. I haven’t had an opportunity to use it yet but looking forward to soon.

I could not seem to get my stick to connect to the base, even when side by side. After much back and forth with the very helpful staff,it was determined the stick was faulty and was replaced at no cost. The new stick functions as described and is a great help. Customer service is very good.

Very good, hope it will continue to add features with new models and firmware updates (like conductivity for moisture content). Very attentive customer service too.

Had issues with the thermometer not reading properly. Set perimeters on the app for the dou probes and wouldn’t read properly. Disappointed with the results after doing the research between your product and the heaters. Second guessing my purchase

Great when it works. Sadly that is not often and the range is inches not feet

I had a defective probe and the company went out of their way to give me a 50% discount on my choice of replacement sticks, including the newest . I am satisfied.

I received my meatstick for my birthday in 2024 and it doesn't work anymore. Now it turns out that it was already in the store in 2022, so it is no longer under warranty. The stick, on the other hand, has also been used very little (see the specifications). The problem is that the battery in the pen is not heat-resistant! And yet they want to give a discount on a new stick; very bad. I would therefore not recommend it; it breaks easily and they don't know what goodwill is there.

This is my second Meat Stick. I literally wore out my first. Very dependable, accurate and I wouldn’t BBQ without out it. Almost perfect meals except when I don’t pay attention. Even the price is great.

The accuracy and reliability of the meat temp probe is great!

It says my order was delivered on March 4 th and I still have not received it as of the 19th. A replacement as supposedly been shipped but have not received it yet either.

I bought a couple of their sticks, one never worked, failed mid cook. Months later they are still refusing to replace it. I have sent pictures, cleaned it over and over, and they continue to gaslight me even though they said it was covered they refuse to replace it. I have 20 emails, pictures and a whole lot of stupid hoops they get me to jump through. Over and over. Nasty people to deal with plus a lousy product.

I had a stick that was not working and their online support gave me additional troubleshooting steps to remedy. After trying the steps, a replacement under warranty was provided. Meat stick stands behind their product. Well done!

Wow!! Definitely deserves a 5 star rating in the cook alone! I recorded almost 500° temps over open flame and it didn’t falter! Meatstick as a company has been amazing to deal with!! The only slight knock was it took a bit longer to connect to my IPhone, but following their troubleshooting, I realized it was my error…so that said the meatstick V is most definitely earning its spot as my go to wireless!!

Simple to use and prompts from the app help. Have used in oven and on grill with several types of protein and all turned out great. The extender works well allowing me to do things elsewhere while the meat is cooking.
