Terrible customer service!! They are not prompt in their replies and they also lie on their website. The dress they sent me has a giant whole in the seam. I sent pictures and they are still trying to get me to cover the cost of shipping to China. Their website states they will cover shipping if the item is damaged. DO NOT buy from this company.

Gorgeous clothing! Package tracking was a bit confusing but I figured it out and my package arrived 9 days after I placed the order. I'm absolutely in love with my dress and will be ordering again. Definitely recommend!

The customer service that I have received thus far has been amazing! My order is coming in multiple packages, but the shirt and corset I ordered came in and are amazing quality! I can’t wait to wear them to the ren faire this year!

The site claims free returns, which is part of why I ordered. After receiving the dress it does not match the sizing table at all, so the dress is too big. I wanted to make a return and am now told I have to pay for the return. I searched the site to find anything about paying for your return, it only says free returns and nothing else. Apart from that I now have to send the dress back to china, while they have wear houses in Germany and France which are way closer to me and would also cost me less return costs.

The times they list on their website are inaccurate. Processing time is said to be 1-3 days, but it’s now been 7 with processing not even started. Wouldn’t recommend trusting them.

Would give a zero if I was able. Ordered 4 items in April. Received three items toward the end of May. Was then told there was an issue and my fourth item would be sent separately. One item was too small. When I contacted them to request a return, I was first told my fourth item was now out of store so needed to choose something else, and my item for return - I need to pay for postage to China! The website states free returns and exchange yet all I’m told is - give the item to someone else or it. So I’m out of pocket because the company won’t fulfil their promise and I’m still waiting for an item. This company is a joke. I thought the company was in the states as all prices are in Dollars. They are in China. Do not use this company! I will be taking this further to the Ombudsman.

I'd give them zero stars if I could. It's been months now and little to no response from the company. My order has never been fulfilled. Absolutely do not waste your money here, you'll never see the purchase.

i ordered about 6 different pieces, intending to try them on and figure out what worked for a specific event i was attending, then return whatever didn’t fit or work. the items arrived one by one over the span of about 3 months. customer service was not helpful when i tried to contact them. now they won’t let me return anything and have stopped replying to me.

I ordered 4 things (three 50% off sale category) on March 31st and a package with all 4 products arrived on April 24th. I was worried in the meantime because online the order status said "fulfilled", even though I didn't even get a shipment notification. So I messaged support and they sent me a tracking number and link. The Link said it was already delivered but when I checked it was a different tracking number and when I typed mine on the shipping website I got the right details. So if that happens to you too, check if the tracking number is accurate or if the link leads to another order.
I saw that they have warehouses in Germany/Europe too but the package came directly from china. I did not need to pay any extra costs (keine Auslagepauschale, Zoll etc.) which is very good.
The clothes fitted well even though I was between two sizes (s and M, got breast measures for S but waist for end of S, but because I'm sensitive to pressure in my stomache area it's more of a M). I checked the measurements very thoroughfully and would recommend that to everyone. For some things I went with S, others like belts with M. The dress smelled a bit chemically but that went away completely with the first washing. I really love that the dress has pockets! The blouse was very wrinkly and I hope to find a way to get that out of it.
I don't have to send anything back so I don't know if and how that would work and if there would be problems. I think sale items can't be given back anyways, so consider that while buying.
I'd only wish for a more accurate shipment status in the profile or mails. If it would all show up correctly, I think it would be easier to not be nervous. And it's annoying that only one coupon at a time works.
My personal experience/result was good though and I'm very happy with my products and their quality. I got help from support when I asked for it and there were no hidden costs. If you are unsure because of sizes and how exchange works, you could also try to buy their products from Amazon to get a feeling for the sizing and have more security. Because I think the products are really pretty and worth a try :)

Honestly the dresses I got were amazing. That being said I had to constantly check in to get anything to ship. I still haven't received some of my order and it's been 2 months now. I have a tracking number that says it doesn't exist. Don't waste the money cause they are not worth the fight.

EDIT: They saw this review and offered me a partial 20% refund of the $52 item to delete it...wow. Not worth it. Letting other possible customers know their poor service is worth more than $10. I ended up keeping the item because shipping it back to China would have cost more or just as much as the item itself, so buying from this company is a lose/lose all around if you end up needing something returned. Plus, the last item of my order finally arrived 8 weeks later. They gave me the same bs excuse they gave other people. They said it was out of stock and I could choose something else from their website and let them know the item number and size I wanted or could wait for item to be back in stock. Well 1) if that was true, why wait until I ask about it two months later to let me know this? Horrible policy. And 2) that wasn't even true as the item showed up a few days later. I don't think their customer service team knows what is happening and it sets them up for disaster. *End of edit*

Do not buy from them. Shipping took almost two months and the measurements on the website are inaccurate. The return policy and customer service are the worst I've ever dealt with, it took them over a week to respond to emails or messages and when they did, the return policy was so complicated and costly, and they gave such a short window of opportunity to ship it, only three days from receiving the email otherwise they wouldn't accept it. Now I'm out over $50 and all they offered me in return was a measly 12% off my next order ...avoid!

Ich habe 4 Kleidungsstücke bestellt, als Lieferzeit waren 7-20 Tage angegeben, nach 15 Tagen war das Päkchen da. Die Sendungsverfolgung war allerdings nicht möglich und eine Versandbestätigung gab es auch nicht. Es war so platzsparend verpackt, das ich dachte das kann unmöglich gut sein. Aber die Qualität ist wirklich toll, der Stoff ist ganz leicht, perfekt für den Sommer. Farben und Größen waren ebenfalls wie angegeben. Ich bin sehr glücklich damit und würde jederzeit wieder bestellen

I've been ordering from Scarlet Darkness regularly for a couple of years now and they are one of my favourite clothing companies. The items I've received from them have been very high quality, especially for the price, and I've never had any issues with not receiving the items I've ordered.

Yeah, I quickly watched youtube and tiktok (paid) reviews but I should have read comments here. Just like everybody, my order was never sent, I contacted them by mail and got an answer much later telling me I could switch articles because it was actually out of stock. I am not satisfied with this solution and have been waiting for a refund... for weeks. They won't answer emails. I'll have to contact my bank to dispute the charges. Thanks for nothing

It's been over two weeks since I ordered, my order still haven't shipped. I messaged with the email, Instagram and Facebook, no answer. Good luck cancelling your order if no one messages you back. I'd have to dispute the charge with my credit card company. DON'T ORDER.

They don't answer emails, says that items are out of stock even when website says in stock, I tried to cancel my whole order when they said if I wanted to switch items that was out of stock. But only got refunded the items that where out of stock and they said they already shipped out the other ones, but I never got a shipping notification or tracking info and I've tried to email them several times.

I ordered my dress two weeks ago and got express shipping. The said it would be 5-10 days (not business, just days). It still hasn’t arrived and I sent them an email telling them that it was urgently needed but they just didn’t respond.

Edit: I just want to clarify that my issue is not so much with your emailing system so much as the fact that my order still has not even been shipped and it has been two weeks since I ordered.

Nach meiner Bestellung die innerhalb von 2 Wochen geliefert sein sollte, habe ich anderthalb Wochen keine Info bekommen. Nun habe ich eine Mail bekommen, dass die Hälfte meiner Bestellung gar nicht verfügbar ist! Ich solle doch bitte eine andere Farbe oder ein anderes Produkt auswählen. Sie schrieben nichts von der Option, die Bestellung oder die Produkte stornieren zu lassen. Ich habe nun drum gebeten, die gesamte Bestellung stornieren zu lassen und hoffe, dass das reibungslos klappt. Zum Glück habe ich über Paypal bezahlt!

Edit: Ich musste den Paypal Käuferschutz einschalten, da ich den vollen Betrag bezahlen soll, obwohl die Hälfte nicht verfügbar ist und meine Anfrage der Stornierung vor Versand (!) einfach ignoriert worden ist! Finger weg! Purer Betrug!

The sizing is very misleading and completely inaccurate to UK sizes, please be sure to double check the CM measurements if you order and not the US/UK sizes. When I tried to return and told them the sizing is misleading, they did not even respond to that point. They suggested an exchange and offered a "US$10 or a 12% discount code as a way to make up for this" and they do not cover return shipping anyway. The quality is really bad too, really thin cheap material. Overall just a really disappointing experience, steer clear!

I have made two orders now from Scarlet Darkness and will summarize my experience...
Pros - the clothing seems very well made, the fabric is light but opaque (nice that it is light, given the amount of layering), the accessories are pretty, the items are as pictured, all my requests for support were answered quickly, and they were always polite
Cons - for both orders, they had to notify me that for some of the items, the colours I wanted in my (admittedly larger) size were not available, so their website isn't necessarily accurate re stock...To their credit, communication was quick and they gave me options for changing to a different colour (which is what I chose), or ordering something else of equal value. The only other con was related to the same issue - although I received tracking numbers for my original orders without having to ask, I did have to ask about the tracking numbers for the substitutions.
Other Notes : I was not in a rush, but be aware shipping can take some time (my advise, plan well in advance, the items are worth the wait). As well, one of my orders was a mystery box - absolutely delightful - it's like getting a surprise present in the mail, the items were lovely.
Overall summary - I was truly pleased with the products, and aside from letting you know of the potential for stock/size hiccups, I do recommend them :-)
