Scarlet Darkness offers a beautiful collection of retro and vintage clothing. They are beautiful and very elegant. I have purchased from them a few times for my wife and their dresses are stunning and look great. Just be aware that their sizes are a bit on the small size, so make sure you upside one size. Their customer service is great they are a bit slow to respond but they do accommodate your needs. Do I do recommend scarlet Darkness to people. Live their clothing.

Don’t order from this website. If you absolutely must buy something from this brand, use Amazon, where there is a little more accountability.

I made an order last month and paid $20 for priority shipping (advertised as 7-10 days). After two weeks, I still had not received any notification that the package had shipped. I sent an email to customer service—no answer. Sent another email to the address listed on their PayPal—again, no answer.

When I looked up reviews for the website, I saw numerous complaints that orders took weeks/months to be shipped out. I decided my order was unlikely to get here in time.

I sent a final email informing Scarlet Darkness that I wanted to cancel my order, and I would be getting in touch with PayPal for a refund. No answer.

Went to a more reputable website (French Meadows, highly recommend) and spent several hundred dollars on a different outfit.

I submitted a refund request through PayPal and WHAT DO YOU KNOW within 2 hours of doing this, Scarlet Darkness suddenly noticed my first email and messaged back to inform me that they had just shipped my package. They conveniently ignored the other email I sent where I requested that the order be cancelled.

I’ve seen several other reviews that mention them doing this. I’m sure the return/refund process will be a nightmare. Save your time and money, order elsewhere.

Listing items as cotton and then they're tagged as polyester and elastine, plus don't actually look like the image online.

Classic "please take 20% refund and not return or half store credit and keep the item" to try and get me to not return, I expect this will happen the standard 4-5 times before I finally threaten lodging with the ombudsmen and they will cave. Should have looked them up but got sucked into the marketing d'oh!

I've always enjoyed my purchases from this company in the past. I've noticed that stuff is coming straight from China more recently. So far, I haven't had any issues. I've scored some good gear for Pirate and Renaissance festivals.

In March I ordered two mystery boxes from Scarlet Darkness. I received one and continue to get a run around on if I will ever get the second or my money back for it. Their customer service is atrocious and is clearly poorly trained and they just keep offering further discounts on stuff I will clearly not be purchasing.

This company is one of my favorite clothing brands they have stepped it up big time and have extremely well made unique adorable dresses and honestly everything they have put out lately that I've purchased has made it to my favorite clothing I own

I love ordering from Scarlet Darkness. They have pretty nice/quality clothing for the price. What could be better; Shipping times; I feel like it takes a really long time to get just one belt that I needed for an event and I stressed about not getting it in time. Also, I feel like they are not very size-inclusive. More choices would be great. Most of the corsets stop at a size 16. A few are a size 18, which is currently my size now that I have lost 20 pounds. However, before that, I was pretty much out of luck, and there largest-2x-size dress barely fit me. Now they are too big, but the XL is tight, so a 1XL would be a great option.

I absolutely LOVE the clothing that Scarlet Darkness carries, beautiful colors and fabrics. A couple of things I have noticed....yes monitors make colors look different, but the pink is either a peach tone or a salmon, never a true, pretty 'baby' pink as it appears on the website on any device I have ever used. The size charts are great and very accurate, which is incredibly helpful since returns are next to impossible. (You will pay more in shipping to return it than you paid for the item in the first place, so make sure you order the right size.) I have had some orders arrive in near record time, while others seemed to take forever. Overall, I really like the Scarlet Darkness line, I would just like to see a couple of improvements.

I have ordered from this brand twice and have not been disappointed yet. The shipping does take a while, but the corsets I got are worth the wait. I got two different styles and appreciate that the website offers so many options. Both corsets are unique and beautiful! The quality feels good, even when wearing them all day. There is slight boning in the ones that I have. This site is a great stop for any Ren Faire or whimsical needs. Just plan ahead and give yourself enough time for delivery. I look forward to buying more pieces from Scarlett Darkness in the future.

mijn bestelling is is niet volledig geleverd. Ik geef aan dat ik dan de rest van me bestelling ook niet hoef. deze hebben ze alsnog gestuurd als ik me bestelling wil terug sturen om me geld terug te krijgen moet ik zelf betalen. ook heb ik niet mijn volledige bedrag ontvangen van het product dat niet geleverd is.

Worst customer service i have ever received...
Asked for a refund after they failed to mark an item on their website as not in stock.
Asked 3 times...
They never answered about a refund only for what item I'd like to change it...
Then told me I will get a gift card of 10$ or 25% off my next order..
I was so damn annoyed that I stupidly accepted that offer...
Got an email that said they were grateful for my interest in their products (I'm definitely not interested anymore)
And I will get 60points on their website and 20% off on my next order with a code, that is usable for a limited time of 14days...
I'm freaking annoyed...
Be careful ordering from them and if you are interested in their products, do it via Amazon and not their website...

Half of my order shipped within the advertised time frame. The other half never had a valid tracking number assigned to it. I reached out to support and was told they had my dress, but that they were waiting on the shawl and would ship both out together on April 6th. April 6th came and went so I reached out again. I was told that they actually didn't have the dress and it would be another two weeks. Completely ridiculous and incompetent support.

Edit to update: they tried bribing me with a refund and free items to delete this review via email before replying on here with the same offer.

I feel like it's generally common sense to not sell more dresses than you have in stock. Good practice is to mark the item as out of stock so people know there will be a wait on the item. It is also not good practice to tell someone their dress is at the warehouse, and then go back on that. That implies you either lied, or you gave my dress to someone else.

This brand is my go to for whimsical and fun attire. I have purchased everything from shoes to capes to bathing suits to dresses and everything else they offer, and I have zero complaints. I love the pockets in the more recent dress designs. I adore the designs and the materials are all great quality. I have never had a problem with shipping delays or anything. 10/10 recommend for Ren Faire, Disneyland, tea parties, weddings, and any other time you want to feel fabulous and fanciful.

I have some beautiful clothing from Scarlet Darkness that despite being unusual are very wearable and always draw compliments from friends and strangers alike. I haven’t found another clothing company that satisfies my desire for whimsical and interesting attire which I enjoy wearing. I find the range of clothing to be extensive and enjoy just looking at the various items while I shop - I particularly like to mix and match different items to create the perfect outfit, items which I can then use with other stuff in my wardrobe. I like the various campaigns when new clothing is available as the suggested ways of wearing the items gives me inspiration for my own look. Never had any problems with ordering and delivery so far and I live on a small island in the English Channel 😀 I will continue to shop with Scarlet Darkness and very happy with everything so far 👍

The styles and quality are very good. I can often get items on sale, making them affordable.
My only complaint is that when I needed to return an item because it was much too large, it was impossible. I wrote 3 or 4 emails to the address they gave for returns, but never received any response. Now the garment is sitting in a drawer, wasted money. Had I been able to return it, their website said I would need to oay for shipment to China! What?! Their website promises returns are easy. That is most definitely not the case. Returns are impossible.
Because of this returns problem, I prefer to buy Scarlet Darkness items from Amazon.

The clothings are wonderful! It's not cheap quality and the designs are gorgeous 😍
I love wearing the corsets, the skirts, the tops and the dresses (oh my God the dresses!), they are so comfortable! The customer service is also excellent, they are fast to respond and to find a solution if you have a problem.
They also have new colors and new models often so you always find something interesting when browsing the pages. Which is dangerous when you can't stop yourself from buying new things to try on 😅 the cherry on the top? You can always find incredible deals on your favorite items ;)

I absolutely love the size transparency and specifications that are offered in the descriptions for these clothes. It allows me to comfortably shop on this website and know exactly which pieces of clothing will work for my body. I also genuinely appreciate the photo to real life accuracy! The dress I bought is exactly what I was expecting if not even more beautiful in person and I just don't take that for granted when online shopping.

Overall, I've been happy with the products I have received from Scarlet Darkness. The sizing is fairly accurate, considering often for similar companies sizing runs very small. I personally do not find this for Scarlet Darkness. The items are also pretty good quality. I have several peices from them that get used often and they hold up quite well. Where improvements can be made, customer service is incredibly difficult to get a hold of, if you can get a hold of them at all. Shipping to North America, astronomically long or quick, Ive had orders take 6 weeks to come in and orders that have arrived in 2 weeks. Consistancy or clearer shipping guidelines can be made on the website. Finally prices. While I am part of the affiliate program, I've had some followers explain that they are able to find similar or the same items off Amazon for half the price. Having tested this theory myself, sadly they are correct. So prices can perhaps be reviewed since not all items are unique to Scarlet Darkness. That being said, they do have a variety of styles, colours and price points and do have sales often!

Im personally very happy with scarlet darkness. Everything i’ve bought so far has been good quality and has arrived within the time it promised. Theres also the option to buy their products over amazon, which quickens the delivery time needed, but obviously decreases how many products they can offer since they would have to be stored in your country. So far, I’ve bought 3 Corsets through either Amazon or the shop itself. My first one was a bit too big, but returning it was no problem at all and i managed to exchange it for one that actually fitted me. Everything looks well sewn with no rough edges. I think what i love the most is the Options available that allow you to build exactly what type of Outfit you want.

Absolutely no customer service. They give you 2 weeks to return after delivery. But they will not reply to ANY emails. Will be filing a chargeback through my bank and spend my money elsewhere. Don’t let them scam you too.
