I love Scarlet Darkness. I have gotten many items from there and even have stuff waiting to be shipped. I love everything I've gotten and on the rare times the are sold out of something they bend over backwards to get me something to replace it. They have such a wide range of styles it's hard to find something you don't like. The sizes are pretty spot on and run true to size. Their clothes are beautiful and comfy. I can't say enough good things about them. I truly don't understand why all the hate. It's a fabulous store.

The clothing is always correctly themed and on brand.
The descriptions have always been accurate to the best of my knowledge including the fabrics and sizes.
And excluding the buttons and other hardware, which admittedly are prone to falling off or snapping once or twice in my experience, the clothing is able to withstand daily wear and tear. I have also never had any issues washing my items in a machine (I don't have any of their corsets or other delicate items however so I cannot speak to machine washing those personally)

Support has also gotten quicker and more responsive in recent months.

Beautiful dress as always. Great fit and very flattering. I have quite a lot of this brands clothing. Great value for money. I feel like a goddess when I wear the clothes, especially love the dramatic sleeves.

I shopped here initially at random and with lots of trepidation, but every item I have received has been well made and more importantly fit me and my unusual size! Shipping while overseas for me is still really fast, the only thing I have to hold against them is they’re not responsive to emails, they solve the issue but it happens in the background. The corset I first ordered (one of now three) helped me to realize that clothing was indeed important in feeling good about myself and since that initial purchase I have bought several other items including dresses and accessories and I love all of them.

Order not shipped after 40 days, customer service is unresponsive. I opened a dispute with PayPal, and they're trying to mislead customer service by posting photos of my order instead of tracking and a refund. They respond in Chinese, and I need to translate.

I stumbled upon the brand on Amazon and went to their website directly and I was a bit scared at first because it almost felt/looked too good to be true.

I made a pretty large order which had to be split up for separate batches but I got in contact with their customer support and have had great communication with them.

The only issue is that the emails do not always end up in the inbox so I had to check a couple of times in the spam folder as well.

They were even super helpful when the stupid Early Bird delivering company fumbled their packaging delivery and helped to get it rescheduled with another delivery company which arrived without hassle.

So if anything is to take away from my review would be search your inbox (and spam folder) for their response if you communicate with them (it says so on their webpage but I cannot stress this enough) Otherwise I am one happy gal who is going to have a great time at the medieval fair this summer!

I have been trying to get a refund for an item I ordered almost two months ago and they still can’t give a delivery date. I have requested a refund multiple times because they at first told me a month after I ordered that the item was out of stock. Now they’re asking me to wait and won’t issue a refund. I will never order from them again. It also took me putting in a complaint to Shopify for them to respond to my requests for a refund which they still haven’t issued. Do not order from them.

Ordered a mystery bag but received an item in the wrong size (M) while I ordered a size S.
Contacted support twice, each time I agreed to being sent a replacement as they told me returning the item would be too costly. EACH TIME after I sent an email agreeing to being sent a correctly sized dress, they go silent. No confirmation, no shipping, nothing.

Scam.
I placed my order in November - I waited for a month, then asked about my order. It turned out, all 3 item I ordered were out of stock. I was offered to replace them with 3 other items, communication was polite and quick. However - after another month of waiting I finally received my package - there was 1 item instead of 3. And this 1 item was wrong size. I contacted support once again, but all I get now are a) e-mails, that perhaps my package hasn't arrived yet b) promises to send my order again - but when I ask for tracking number, they give me one for package I received already r c) demands to send photos confirming items are missing & 1 is wrong size (I sent them photos). I received a bunch of this repetitive e-mails, they say the same things, as if they don't understand what we are talking about. So I suspect I talk to some AI-bot, not the actual support service.
Deeply disappointed, I lost my money, spent 4 month on waiting and communication so fare. As a result I received 1 item of wrong size instead of 3. I will never order from this company, nor recommend it.

The customer service for this company is nonexistent. I would never recommend buying from them directly. The only way I would buy Scarlet Darkness clothing would be from Amazon, because you can return it if you’re not satisfied with the quality or the fit.

I have ordered from Scarlet Darkness a few times now and have had a perfect experience each time. My order arrives on time (a few weeks), the product is accurate to the descriptions on the website, the size chart is both helpful and accurate... I can't say enough good things about the products. If you are worried that the price won't match the quality of the products you want to purchase I would say don't be. Well worth the price. Scarlet Darkness is not one of those stores where the first time you put on an article of clothing it breaks. Everything from the dresses to the corsets is made from good quality material and made sturdy. I absolutely love them and want to purchase more from Scarlet Darkness in the future. I recommend this store to literally everyone I come across and am now recommending it to you Dear Reader.

I ordered twice from them from Germany.
The first time worked flawlessly, everything fit amazingly, overall okay quality (some of the dresses feel a little like plastic, but they communicate openly that they're made out of polyester, so you know what you're buying). The corsets fit amazing, I was looking for something for a bigger bust that doesn't give the pigeon silhouette that only works on smaller chest - and they delivered.
The second time it arrived quickly, but the order was messed up, stuff missing, partly wrong stuff. But the support was quick to help, even offering me a free item in compensation.
So over all, good experience :)

After over a year I still have not received my order. Requested my money back over 8 months ago and never got a respons, sent another email recently but still no respons. Stay away! This is a scam company.

Per me l'acquisto è andato benissimo. Ho ordinato 3 articoli, ho pagato, e dopo circa due settimane è arrivato tutto. I vestiti sono belli, il corpetto ancora di più. Fatto molto bene. Unica cosa forse vestono LEGGERMENTE grandi. io porto la M e ho preso la M anche basandomi sulle misure del sito, che coincidevano con il mio fisico, ma entrambi i vestiti mi stanno un pochino larghi. Tutto sommato mi piacciono molto e li metterò. Nessun problema con la ricezione dei pacchi né con nient'altro.

J'ai passé une commande avec une prévision de livraison qui n'a pas été respectée. Comme la commande n'arrivait pas, j'ai contacté le service client qui m'informe enfin que le produit n'était pas en stock donc ils sont en train de le refabriquer. Je demande donc une annulation et remboursement et on me cuisine pendant deux mois, en me proposant d'annuler la commande et après en disant qu'elle a été expédiée, et enfin en me proposant une réduction de 10% ! J'ai redemandé le remboursement et ils ne m'ont plus jamais répondu. Arnaque !

Commande passée chez eux le 29 septembre, toujours pas reçu. J'envoie un mail pour avoir des nouvelles en novembre, ils me répondent que maintenant que l'article n'est plus en stock depuis ma commande. Je demande un remboursement, ils me font tourner en bourrique en me proposant plusieurs fois une réduction sur mon prochaine achat ce que je refuse 3 fois en réitérant ma demande de remboursement. Depuis plus de nouvelles d'eux, ils ne m'ont toujours pas rembourser les 138€ qu'ils me doivent. C'est du vol. Je vous ai signalé à PayPal et je pense prochainement porter plainte contre vous pour arnaque, vol.

J'ai signalé à PayPal. Ils me répondent que je serai remboursée immédiatement et qu'il faut que supprime mon avis négatif, ce que je refuse. Ils me renvoient un mail argumentant qu'ils peuvent pas me rembourser si je ne supprime pas mon avis. Je leurs ai rappelé la loi du consommateur, en exigeant mon remboursement dû.

Mise à jour : 15 décembre.

Je n'ai plus de nouvelles depuis qu'ils m'ont menacé de ne pas me rembourser si je ne retirais pas cette avis négatif. Donc je me permets de l'appuyer puisque cela s'appelle du chantage et le chantage est interdit dans le code Pénal français :

Et en plus c'est une pratique interdite par Trustpilot ! Voilà !

Mise à jour finale :
J'ai été remboursée après 4 mois d'attente, mais pas par eux, par PayPal puisque j'avais commencé un litige et qu'ils n'ont pas répondu leurs attentes.
Ce n'est qu'après qu'ils m'ont envoyé un mail final disant que je recevrai mon remboursement, je leur ai donc "gentiment" conseiller de garder cette argent pour rembourser PayPal, puisque ces derniers m'ont remboursé avant eux.

Sur ceci, j'espère que les personnes qui sont en litige avec eux ont été remboursée ou seront remboursés.
Je ne supprime pas mon avis, et cela pour alerter de prochains consommateurs d'être méfiant en vers cette entreprise plus que douteuse et leur manque de communication catastrophique.

I did not purchase their products through their website, I went through Amazon. That meant I got them quite quickly.

I've purchased two dresses, and a Renaissance style wide belt. The clothing has been very well-made, fabrics have been good. For me the sizing seems a little bit big, but I've only had three items to gauge that from so I don't know if it's consistent all the way across.

The clothing is highly appealing to me, and I firmly believe I will be purchasing more. There have been a lot of compliments on these outfits and I have sent people to where I've purchased them from so they can get their own.

This company is a SCAM!!! I purchased two items from them and after 30 days, I still had not received any shipping info. I contacted customer service and they responded TWO WEEKS LATER saying my items are “still being handcrafted and would arrive at their warehouse within two weeks and then would be shipped to me.” Their website promised 10-20 shipping, and by that point we were going over 40 days before the items ever even shipped. Mind you, they did not reach out with this update - I had to first contact them asking where my items were before they ever bothered to update me.

I responded saying at that point my event would be over and I wouldn’t need the items anymore. I referenced their cancellation policy which stated that they could cancel orders that had not yet been shipped. They took another TWO WEEKS to respond to me, saying some copy/paste message like “Hello customer! Great news! Your items have been shipped and we have expedited the shipping to ensure you receive them on time!” They completely ignored my request to cancel. When I followed up again asking why they disregarded my request, they responded with another vague email offering me 25% off my next purchase. As if I would EVER buy from them again.

A month later and the items have still not arrived. I’ve followed up 3 more times and they’ve sent the EXACT same copy/paste scripted email every time and have not helped me at all. I’ve now had to escalate the issue with my bank to help me with a refund of my money.

Also- they emailed me saying that “if I recieve the items and dislike them, I can send them to the return address.” But they never provided a return address and their website says that to receive instructions on returns, to email their customer service email for the address and policy. So clearly they just run you around in circles forever, steal your money, and never send you anything.

Lastly, their website talks about how their clothes are ethically made and hand crafted. Well I ended up buying one thing off their Amazon instead - thank goodness it actually arrived - and it’s just drop shipped acrylic fabric made in china (literally says it on the tag) so this company is a total scam and lie. Do NOT buy from them or waste your money and time on dealing with this scam of a business. I wish I’d never purchased from them.

This is the most unethical company that I have ever dealt with. I ordered a corset for Halloween with the promise that I would receive the item within 10-20 days of placing my order. I tried to cancel my order before receiving notice of shipment because I had a gut feeling that I would not receive my item in time. I sent an email (have record of it) to cancel my order. They took days to respond just to tell me that my order had shipped. It just happened to ship in the days after I sent the email but before they had the ability to respond. I then asked for a refund via email (because you can't speak with a person on the phone). They told me that they would try to intercept the package. I asked what this meant and didn't receive a reply. I didn't even expect to receive my order. It FINALLY came two weeks late (past their promised time of 10-20 days). I asked for a refund yet again and they told me that I would have to pay fees to return it or they can give me 10% of my $ back. The messages are automated and never addressed my specific issue. They failed to cancel the order before shipment and then they failed to deliver the item on time. They are outright ignoring my request for a full refund without having to send the item back. I don't feel that I should have to pay for this item when they failed on their end multiple times. They manipulated the situation with their delayed responses & I feel that they have scammed me.

Items are nice. It took longer than expected, but they did respond to my requests and offered solutions.
