Freddy was a friendly and enthusiastic guide. Everything was planned out perfectly. When I wasn’t feeling well, Freddy was helpful and caring to make sure I was ok.

Trip of a lifetime! We have the best time! Fredy Chucya was our guide and the theme of the trip was “Fredy knows best!” He was a wealth of knowledge and available to answers all our questions. His hospitality and humor was the icing on the cake! He set the mood for an amazing trek, teaching us of the local culture, plants, history and culture. He was kind and watched out for us the whole time. He even had some magic trick to heal one of my blisters.

We were blown away by the accommodates! From the incredible star gazing, meals with Mountain View’s, hot showers and cozy beds. This trek is so thoughtful to make sure you are able to get well rested after long days of hiking!

Where to begin with the food - Juan de Dios blew us away, he was creative with local ingredients and always had a delicious meal waiting for us. He even baked us a cake on our final night together. We wish he had a restaurant so we could eat his food again!

Isiais with Luis ocampo was our horseman who kept our belongings safe and was always great to see his smiling face along the trail.

Everyone with Salkantay Trekking went above and beyond. The actual trek itself offers a beautiful range of mountains to jungle to riverside landscapes. You go from glacier mountains to the jungle to ending with Manchu Pichu. While challenging the views make it all worth it. There is always ways to modify and the team provides breaks at the perfect time. We would recommend them to anyone and look forward to booking a future trek with them. Have no hesitations in booking this trek- you will make lifetime memories!!

All the guides were friendly and professional in leading all the tours. The vehicles were comfortable and safe.

We did the Salkantay 4D trekking and were in Roy's first group of 2021.
We enjoyed being a part of the Salkantay family very much. Our guide Roy was amazing with all his knowledge and passion about his culture and roots. There was a big variety of food which was always super delicious and plenty (thanks again to Satu and Franklin!). We really liked that we had nothing to care about, just enjoyed the nature surrounding us. And thanks to the "Wild Condors" ;)

Una experiencia alucinante en nuestro viaje, en el camino de Salkantay esta montaña sagrada es una aventura a más de 4600 metros de altura y los paisajes increíbles, el guía Simba lo convirtió en una experiencia fantástica y memorable.
También nos dieron información sobre los protocolos que están siguiendo por la pandemia del covid-19, que fue perfecto, estaban bien equipado con mascarillas y un kit de primeros auxilios y un balón de oxígeno en caso de que nos sintiéramos enfermos con la altitud.
Realizamos esta aventura con la agencia de turismo Salkantay Trekking y todo el viaje fue estupendo, supero todas nuestras expectativas, atención de lujo, personal profesional y amable.

Salkantay Trekking, what a wonderful trip we had in Peru!!!.
We could not have done it without the dedication of the guide Wimber "Simba", all our plans for Machu Picchu went without any problem but what made our trip an unforgettable experience was his attention and kindness. This agency makes you feel like you are planning your trip with fully tailored to your needs and making sure that you get what you are looking for.

We had a lovely guide named Freddy, he took always good care of us and knew the area like no other. The cooks provided us with great food and the accomodation was good. Thanks again!

Paid on request 50% deposit for Salkantay Imperial trek and Rainbow Mountain for total of $864 USD at beginning of February 2020 for trek in early July 2020 with my daughter. Since Covid lockdown Peru is now inaccessible from UK for forseeable future and Salkantay trekking refused to refund deposit on 7th May (despite not being able to provide service at agreed time).
This is in contrast to the jungle lodge that contacted me on 7th May as soon as they heard that the Peru Government was only looking to restart international tourism in late August. The jungle lodge only required a 10% deposit in February and refunded 75% of that on 8th May.
I would recommend booking with a less commercially aggressive company (requiring lower deposit and with more reasonable cancellation policy).

This trek/adventure exceeded any and all expectations I could have had for this amazing life changing adventure...they provided an unforgettable experience and I will most certainly be recommending them to friends and family alike

We had an awesome trek 5 day Salkantay trek. Our guide, Henry, was very knowledgeable and took very good care of us during our trip. Good sense of humor and steady pace. The food was excellent due to the Wannes Lau and Alejandro, it was always more then we could finish, there were a lot of vegetables and good meat we did not have to walk with our back packs due to the horseman Alex who walked with all our stuf :)

Serious great company who gets you the entire package, a wonderfull hike and a visit to Machu Picchu in the end to top it off. Great way to get to Machu Picchu :)

The Salkantray Trek was super rewarding! The scenary was breathtaking and the hike was challenging, but it made the experience so much more intense and memorable!
The food on the trek was amazing and we always had enough food and snacks to give us energy for the hike. The people and the staff were so friendly and fun. They were very aware of how to give us the best experience possible.
The only mild complaint was the not so subtle hint to tip the entire staff. But overall great trek!
