WOWWW can’t recommend this trekking company more from the food to accommodations to the details and guides//chiefs//horseman would do it again in a heartbeat!! WILO is the best!!

We underestimated how hard this trek would be physically and mentally, not having much prior hiking experience. However, Salkantay is an amazingly well organized company with great accommodations, planning and employees; and we could place our full trust in them. Our guide, Erik, was extremely knowledgeable and indispensable to our experience. Chefs Freddy and Erlinda and muleteer Jesus were also hardworking and excellent.

This was a once in a lifetime experience.

Every single day of this Trek was a highlight of our entire trip in Peru, only made better by our incredible guide, Erik!

Super happy with my trip with Joel, Wilfredo, Alexis and the team of SalkantayTrekking. Spent 6 days with them on the Salkantay Trek and Ausangate 7 Lakes I was very well taken care of. Food, lodging, local info everything was great. I appreciate their flexibility, camaraderie since I like to do things on my terms. Did the 4 day Salkantay trek with two great guides Porfilio and Manuel. The stay was comfortable, food amazing and the scenary beautiful. It was a wonderful experience.

Porfirio is a great tpyr guide he was very informative and supportive he helped with everylittle thing his english is great, and has a high sense of humor

The Salkantay 5 day trek with Porfi was amazing! Expertly organized logistics and details- timing and schedule, meals, luggage transport. The views and landscapes were incredible and I felt supported throughout as someone who had not hiked at this altitude before.

Salkantay track is needed experience on tracking and good health conditions. But on my opinion is needed also a experience guide as I had with Porfillio that know how to deal with different member’s putting all together is the same path, he was essential and needed for the track ! I really want to came back and make a Inca track with him

Porfirio was the best guide on this challenging hike. He was the model of professionalism! He taught us so much about Peruvian history and culture and nature, while ensuring we had a good time and stayed safe. I would highly recommend him as a guide!!

Amazing food, good group, nice accommodations. And the best part was our guide Pabel. He deserves all the praise.

The most incredible trek I’ve ever done in my life. Everyday was amazing the accommodations were the best I could ever ask for. THE FOOD, everyday the chefs prepare us multiple course meals that are top tier, kept us energized and ready for the hikes. They always ensured we were hydrated and healthy. Our guide Pabel was the best of the best he made the 5 days a challenging hiking very enjoyable, Pabel was so knowledgeable about the land and the history/ culture of the area and the people who lived there. He became a friend to us more than just our guide, I’ll never forget him and couldn’t have asked for a better guide!

Pavel, our guide, and his team (chef, assistant and horsedriver) made a really good job! They always made sure we would enjoy our track and we wouldn’t have to think about anything. The food was amazing and there was plenty of it! I am gonna miss the wake up calls from Pavel with the tea. ;)

This was our highlight in an amazing vacation. Salkantay Trekking takes care of everything and gives clear instructions what is coming up and what you have to bring. If you have luck have the two best guides in Porfirio and Rogelio. Both of them do everything humanly possible that you will have the best adventure you can have.

Salkantay Trekking thought of everything for this trip. There were so many amazing touches. I would highly recommend any friends or family book through you guys. Porfi was such a fun/funny/knowledgeable guide. He is great.

Excellent tour and Porfi and the team were amazing!

Porfi was an amazing tour guide. He took good care of each member in our group. This 2 day Humantay Lake tour was an incredible experience. Even if you dont have any hiking experience, there is always the option to hire a horse to be able to witness the majestic beauty of Humantay Lake and Salkantay Mountain. Just do it! (And hopfully you will get lucky and have Porfi as your guide)
