I was in Barcelona

I was in Barcelona, when a salesman from Orogold talked me into his shop, giving me a sample of the eye treatment.
He told me to sit down and put the serum around my eyes. I must say that the wrinkles mostly were disappeared. He kept persisting in
wanting me the product to buy, 198 euros, but I told him that I had only money for dinner and lunch, not for these kind of expensive things.
The way they want to sell you their products is absolutely agressive, but at the end it’s important if the product is good.
And after having used the sample at home (3 times), I see the difference when I have put it on.
The reviews I read were only about the sellers, but for me it’s more important to know if the product is worth the money.

I had bad experience in barcelona

I had bad experience in barcelona. Given free sample then taken into shop with promise of another free gift to help my cancer scar below eye. She put cream on other side of face then said their shop was closing as they were closing all the shops in the mall so i could have good discount. She was not happy when i said NO and walked out. So glad i did after reading all these reviews.

They are so dishonest and rude , Scam brand

They are so dishonest and rude . Pushed people to buy their rubbish creams . They took me to the shop by pressure in St.Christopher place and tried to sell a cream for £380 and dropped the price to £100 , I was almost going to spend that money for something which I didn't need at all , but at the end the racist guy who started to make fun of my country and language made me not to spent a penny . Thank god .The other day my 23 years old colleague spent £500 on anti aging by force . Feel sorry for the people who spend money in that scam brand with pressure .

AVOID AVOID AVOID

I find myself avoiding the streets with Orogold shops as they almost chase you down the street. High pressure sales tactics, prices dropped as soon as you look shocked! Someone needs to do something about these people as they give London a VERY bad name.

Shut down Orogold please !!

Today was my first time in London, I was just walking around when a woman handed me a free sample, i took it and kept walking when the man standing next to her told me "what you're just gonna take it without knowing what it is?" Then he came up to me and started telling me that there is 24k gold in this product and that I should come check it out inside. So I go inside with him ( biggest mistake ever ) he sat me down on a chair and talked to me for 35 minutes he just wouldn't shut up. He scrubbed this thing on my hand then compared my two hands. He kept complimenting me on how beautiful I was but I really needed this product to get rid of my acne and black heads (???? Even though I assure you I have NO blackheads and NO acne. I maybe had like maximum 3 small pimples because it was that time of the month but otherwise I take extremely good care of my skin and nothing is wrong with it). I told him many times no and he kept aggressively insisting. I didn't even have and pounds on me only euros so i thought I would say that as an excuse to leave and just pretend I'm gonna go change my money, but gueuss what! They wouldn't let me leave and said they would except my money and go change it themselves at the bank. I told them no thanks again I don't want to buy anything and the guy just kept throwing in different prices like I'll give you this for 30% off if you take this one too, just promise me you will use them, im only goving you this price because I care. And when I would say no he would say dont you like mee??! Ummmmm no bro i fckn hate you. I knew it was a scam but he still managed to bully and pressure me into buying a product (that i didnt want/need) for 100 pounds. he kept saying "it's only 100 pounds come on its for your face you need to take care of it"

Ps: Orogold is and israeli company, which is the same as the premiere dead sea cosmetics (they use exactly the same tactics and everything). Apparently they're a bunch of israelis who left the army and are trying to make money. But illegally.

And that peeling thing that they tried on my hand and on everyone elses hand, it doesn't do Anything it just peels cuz it contains the same thing thats it glue and il look like dead skin when you scrub but it's not.

I had exactly the same experience at the Orogold shop in Amsterdam. I got sucked in off the street to try out the products and before I knew where I was I was being really pressured to buy products for £360. It seems I got off lightly compared to some people as I only bought one product for £100 but I have no idea why I would hand over £100 for a product that I didn't even want or need. The sales patter is so persuasive and insistent and you feel you just cannot leave the shop without buying anything. Felt completely conned when I got back to my hotel and still kicking myself over it. Avoid at all cost!!

Awful, disgusting behaviour from staff and senior management

Awful, a scam, steer clear.

My mother was subjected to vile, intimidating and misleading sales tactics in the London brand of St Christopher's Place, set in a chair three times when she wanted to leave, and not read the no refunds policy, her card was more or less taken from her as she protested that she needed nothing. Conned out of £360. She had irritation under her eye where they put the product too.

I have had the worst experience trying to recover her money - spoken to and laughed at rudely by Jenny on the customer services helpline, by staff in store, and Tala, who is supposedly the manager.

I was rung by Tommer, who said he was a manager, and assured I would in fact receive a refund, to be called later by Tala and told that no, she was the owner and she would not allow refunds. I told her her staff were intimidating and aggressive (she would not respond to this which I found weird, do you have no concern your staff acted horrifically?) and was super rude. I told her we'd be taking this to small claims court, and absolutely plan to do so. She told me she was a lawyer - lol

Having a look at Citizens Advice Bureau site, we are fully entitled to a refund due to aggressive sales tactics.

NEVER trust these people, horrific.

Catherine Lee, would love to speak to you regarding this and would like to put together a case against them - a relative of mine helps to manage the St Christopher's Place complex. Find me on Facebook - I'm based in London and in my 20s, originally from Ireland

Con men on one of London's best known streets.

My Mother was pressured to part with nearly £800. When she got her bank statement later that month, it transpired they had taken a further £4800. I have no idea what this was for. It seems a case of straightforward theft.
DO NOT GO ANYWHERE NEAR THIS SHOP. You will be bullied into spending large sums of money for creams and risk them taking huge amounts of money out of your account for no reason. They target vulnerable people in order to con money out of them.

I had a similar experience to another …

I had a similar experience to another reviewer. I was walking down St Christopher's Place to get to a meeting and was a bit early and was offered a sample of OROGOLD moisturiser by a salesperson in the street who said I looked stressed (charming??) and needed a calming moment and thoughts about my most precious commodity - my skin. I had 5 minutes - but that turned into 20 mins as I was sat in a chair and told my skin needed this serum and that moisturiser and almost had a credit card machine forced into my hand. I politely said I HAD to leave otherwise I would be late and before I could leave they were suddenly offering the £300 product for £150 with another thrown in for free (how can this be?) and I still persisted saying No. As I tried to leave they blocked me with the credit card machine and lots of smiles and kindness and -OK as a first time buyer we can give you the product for a special discount at £50. I paid it and got the supposed product of £300 for £50....and left but with them still trying to get me to buy something else as i was leaving. The whole experience left me with a bad feeling - NOT the way to arrive at a meeting. I am usually not taken in by anything but left feeling as though I had been duped. Not a great experience. I love Space NK - come out feeling special and not pressurised at all...
DO NOT get duped by these salespeople at OROGOLD...you will end up spending when you really don't want to and there are no prices on anything so you have no idea whether what you are paying is the right price.

Coercive sales practises used by OroGold, St Christopher's Place W1U

I was invited into Orogold Cosmetics, 3 Gee’s Court, St Christopher’s Place, London W1U 1JB, while passing, I was in a hurry, but the woman assured me that what she had to show me wouldn’t take long.  I was subjected to aggressive sales practices that are in breach of UK law as outlined in the Consumer Protection Amendment Regulations 2014: Liability for Misleading and Aggressive Practices.

Predictably I have had no joy when taking up this issue with the company. I am looking for people who have had similar experiences so that we can band together to hold this company to account, however I can't post an email address here. If anyone wants to get in touch please respond with your review and we will have to work out a way to communicate.

Why is this company allowed to treat …

Why is this company allowed to treat people like this??
I've just come back from a weekend in London when out shopping one day my daughter needed the toilet. Map told us the nearest toilets were in st Christopher's square so off we went.
On entering the street, I was handed some free moisturiser and asked "what eye cream I use? Come inside I have a lively one for you to try!"
Now reading these reviews, I see I'm not the only one to be jooped into buying their product!
Someone MUST be able to stop these scoundrels doing this to inoccent shoppers like us?!
After much bartering I managed to get a free product (worth £178 alone!?) And enough "free" moisturiser to last a month!! But they were NOT budging on price.
£318... the dearest trip to the toilet I've EVER ventured on!! Hubby thinks I've paid £100 (as I'm not ready for divorce just yet!)
Please share experience with friends heading to London.. .
Don't let them be trapped!!

I cannot believe this company

I cannot believe this company. I was almost pressganged into buying some products that I did not want nor did I need them. I actually felt intimidated by the sales personnel. I was told that the face serum (costing £300 normally) would last me at least a year. It lasted less than a month. I feel that I have been conned and scammed.

Racist Salesman!

I noticed that whenever Asian men or women passed by this shop, the salesmen tend to shout Ni Hao when clearly not all of them are from China? Oh and they say it in a mocking tone too. Jerks...

My friend and I were victims of Orogold hard selling

My friend and I were victims of Orogold in London in June 2017 as follows:-

We are both retired ladies living on small pensions having a day out in London to celebrate my birthday. We were walking towards St Christopher Place to our restaurant for lunch when we were offered some samples of Orogold; we were asked “what eyecream we use”. We said we were in a hurry and may see them on the way back. Sure enough they were waiting for us and lured us into their little shop. They then sat us down and pointed out our lines/wrinkles and that this Orogold cream/serum would do wonders for us, giving us both the hard sell; saying this product is used instead of botox and is used by filmstars and celebrities. I said we’re ladies on low incomes, and I felt under considerable pressure and walked out of the shop. My friend got sucked into this brainwashing and felt compelled to buy. They told her the product was normally £318 but “its on special today for £159”. Next thing she knew they literally put the machine in front of her nose to tap in her pin. After which they insisted she buy another product – again another £159. The assistant convinced her how badly she needed these products and even tried to sell her another £300 of other products. My friend felt like she was being held hostage and in order to get away she was forced to buy. She had parted with £319 which she cannot afford as she lives on the state pension.

When we got home and read the reviews of similar experiences of other people we were furious. The creams do not work for her and have done nothing for her skin whatsoever. My friend has tried emailing, leaving messages on their answer phone, all to no avail. She is desperate to get a refund as these products are a complete waste of money for her. Also the products are so much cheaper on Amazon. Since then my friend has been having sleepless nights and feeling depressed of how she was duped out of this very large amount of money. At the moment she is pursuing a refund with her credit card company. This selling should not be allowed particularly targeting pensioners on low incomes.

Forceful selling tactics

Unfortunately I was made to part with over £300 on Thursday by the heavy and forceful sales techniques of this organisation. A friend and I were on our way to have brunch at a restaurant nearby, when a woman practically pounced on us offering us a sample and asking us to go into her shop off Oxford Street. We said that we had an appointment and couldn’t stay long. She then sat us down and put some cream on our faces and hands and told us that she could offer the cream at half price, plus we could have a free facial next time we were there and lots of other benefits etc. etc. Having done half my face she said the transformation was amazing! She kept on telling us that we must buy as the offer was for one day only, but we said we had to go, and in order to shut her up we said we would be back.

We discussed it at the restaurant and decided that the costs were too expensive, but as we were passing the shop on our way back she pounced on us again and almost dragged us into the shop. She persuaded me that I had to buy the eye cream as it made me look years younger and it was on sale at this price for one day only, and I reluctantly paid the money as she was so persuasive. She then told me that I had to have the skin serum and the peeling cream and she would let me have them half price (£150 instead of £300). I just wanted to get out of the shop as we were on our way to the theatre so I thought I would pay up and run. By this time I was getting panicky. However, her colleague (male) then started on me, putting more cream on to my face, saying that he wasn’t trying to sell it, but it made my face look amazing and I could have it at a discount price of £240. I said that this was impossible, I am a pensioner and my husband would go berserk (I haven’t told him any of this), but before I could say any more she had the card reader ready and pushed it under my nose. My friend then rescued me by saying that we had to get to the theatre, but I could tell that they were not happy that I did not buy this further product and kept pressurising me. I felt like I was trapped by such high pressure salesmanship.

I have since seen other reviews about this organisation saying similar things.

Group Litigation

Oro Gold is directly related to Vine Vera cosmetics. Positive reviews are mainly bogus - IT experts agree that all online reviews that are aggressively positive for Oro Gold, Vine Vera, Tresor Rare, Vivo Per Lei and others fit the characteristics of fake reviews.
I have been subject to high pressure sale tactics on January 16 at Vine Vera on New Bond Street for a total of £5,500. Any attempt to recover the monies returning the products have not yielded me a refund. Since then I have undergone an extensive investigation and preparing a group litigation case against all UK based cosmetics stores that are linked to Vine Vera: OroGold, Tresor Rare, and others. If you have been subjected to high pressure sales tactics and purchased products that didn't need and want and failed to get full refund, please contact me at shuurik at gmail.com until June 30, 2017. The case will be under Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Act 2008 as merchants above use banned sales tactics as well as under Misrepresentation Act of 1967 for misrepresentations of the products at the time of purchase.
