Extremely disappointing service - Damaged Clothing
Extremely disappointing service, damaged and ruined irreplaceable sweaters
I would strongly caution against using Laundry Heap, particularly for delicate or valuable clothing.
I sent three sweaters to Laundry Heap, including two one-of-a-kind hand-knit sweaters that had previously been professionally dry cleaned without any issues. Laundry Heap severely damaged and shrank both hand-knit sweaters, leaving them effectively ruined and no longer wearable.
A third brand new sweater was returned extremely faded and discoloured, with brown stains that appeared to be burn marks. This was not the condition in which the sweater was submitted.
What has made the experience even more disappointing is the customer service. Despite clearly documented damage and the fact that these were unique, hand-knit pieces that had successfully been professionally dry cleaned before, Laundry Heap has refused to reimburse me for the cost of the damaged sweaters.
The response and handling of the complaint have been deplorable. I expected a professional laundry and dry-cleaning service to take responsibility when clothing is returned significantly damaged, particularly when the items are clearly unsuitable for the treatment they received.
These were not inexpensive, replaceable items. Two were one-of-a-kind hand-knit sweaters, and they cannot simply be replaced by purchasing another one.
I am extremely disappointed with both the quality of the service and the way my complaint has been handled. Based on my experience, I would not use Laundry Heap again. I would suggest you steer clear!

They will destroy your clothes
5 of my shirts which had only been worn once before were returned with stains rendering them no longer wearable. The feedback from Laundryheap was this was caused by excessive sweating. This then changed when challenged by me to being caused by my deodorant. This dragged on for days and I believe I was dealing with an AI agent even after 3 days of making no progress. The only redress offered was a refund of my dry cleaning charges even though the value of the shirts was in excess of €250. I would strongly discourage anyone from using Laundryheap.

My first experience with Laundryheap…
My first experience with Laundryheap was very disappointing. I ordered a service for my expensive coat and it arrived stained and the puffer is ruined. I tried contacting them through the app but haven’t received any updates or a response since I made the complaint.
It’s really upsetting because I was planning to become a regular customer. I genuinely believe the whole business is great and a convenient tool for people.
I’m really disappointed.

Great and fast service
First time using the service, I brought my clothes in the office, in central London, where I arranged a pickup for the afternoon, paid 20£ for 7 shirts washed and ironed brought to me the next day in a nice large blue bag that I can keep for future services. Vast and easy, used a bonus I had with the app to get a much better deal too.
