Three mouldy pillows and just £10 compensation offered
I’ve been a loyal Laundryheap customer for years, regularly using their cleaning services without issues, for clothes and bulky items alike. Unfortunately, my latest experience has completely changed my opinion.
I paid £47.85 to have three pillows cleaned. They were returned sealed in plastic bags, and when I opened those same bags two weeks later, the pillows were damp, mouldy and completely unusable. I have photographs showing their condition in the original Laundryheap packaging.
Laundryheap offered just £10 in account credit, refusing to refund the cleaning charge or compensate me for the ruined pillows.
Their explanation? I should have unpacked and aired the pillows sooner, despite never having been clearly warned to do so.
Despite requesting an escalation, I was told their decision was final and the case would be closed.
Extremely disappointing treatment of a long-standing customer. I paid for professional cleaning and ended up losing three perfectly usable pillows, with no meaningful resolution.

Avoid this company like the plague
Avoid this company like the plague. They don't even have a phone number. Here's the Story, it's long but I want people to understand how rubbish these guys are. I signed up to them because I had bedding items that needed dry cleaning and I had a £10 voucher and 10% off, I book the collection, they collect it, they deliver it when they say they wouldso far so normal. When I got the items back, two of the five pillows smelled super weird, two of them snelt just somewhat weird, and one of the pillows had new stains on it, and it was ridiculously expensive to boot! I put this in the review of the order in the app, and some absoulte joker called SYED (remember this name) respond to me with the usual "were sorry about your experience" stuff. Anyway, we vonverse about the order and I mention the issues with the pillow and at first he tried to imply it was only two pillwds with an issue, when I calrify it was three he tries to offer me credits (that old trick) that only last for three months or only half of my money back for the suboar service. I mention that I wouldn't need these items drycleaned for a while and three mobths is ridiculously short for expiry so just refund me the full money for the three pillows, this Syed guy then didn't respond for THREE HOURS and came back with the same disrespectful offer speaking like some sort of AI. I did my best and maintained composure and told him to refund the the full amount or I'll escalate this every avenue possible. Syed then goes he'll speak to his team and be back at me in 24 hours, I then have to follow up with him and guess what, same BS offer. Oh did I mention that this supposedly legit service don't have a phone number? Because the don't, trust me, don't deal with them. I'm going to be disputing the payment and making sure the CEO is aware of the type of people his company hires, so people like Syed don't waste other customers time. Oh and Syed won't give me any contact details of his manager or complaints teams of course. Disgrace of a company
