The Professionalism from the Whole team was brilliant.
From first contacting them on behalf of my elderly mum. They we very concerned that it would be ideal if I was there as well to understand the process.
Sales rep was definitely not pushie, and very knowledgeable, even told us they are not the cheapest but clearly explained why and the quality of materials used plus a 20 year guarantee.
Actual work performed, was of a high standard, stated it would take only 2 days ( which it was). Also kept the dust to the minimum possible. We are very happy with the work carried. Now I have repaint the front room and hall. Thanks for the extra work. 🤣👍

Richard came to look at the issues with our property recently, he was courteous and professional, with no hard sell. Very knowledgable surveyor. Would recommend.

Very pleased, office staff and surveyor very experienced and helpful and the builders/ engineers were top class, friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable. We had a full damp proof and external render painted, it looks fabulous and the mess was not as bad as expected. Very recommendable

I am sharing my experience of working with Home Building & Surveying Company (JS & DH Trading) to help other make sure they avoid the same experience should they chose to use them.
When their salesperson came and did the survey they were very professional and we decided to proceed. We paid our deposit and booked a date. We received the quote on email which was missing some details on what was agreed so I contacted them as this was added. A couple of days before the date the work was due to take place, I contacted the company to confirm the start date. They said they had not received our deposit. I mentioned that the quote referenced the deposit being made. They apologised but advised the requested date could not now be managed and the work would have to take place the following day. This was not too much of an inconvenience, so we agreed.
The workmen turned up to do the pointing and apply the SecoTherm coating but there was no sign of the PIV installer. We were told he got held up on another job and would be there the following day. When I finished work and checked the pointing, it had been completed to a very poor standard. I mentioned this to the PIV installer who took some photos and contacted the office. He advised after coming off the phone that the point was done as it should be. I was not happy with this and had to insist for someone to come back to do the work properly. The original workmen returned and looked at the work and apologised, as it had not been done correctly. Once the workmen and correctly finished the pointing everything was in order, but it is disappointing that the office had previously said the work was fine, when clearly it wasn’t and were prepared to deliver customer a substandard level of work. I share this as a cautionary tale for prospective customers to make sure all work is completed properly before making full payment.

Jack and Harvey showed professionalism when they did tanking at our house. They are pleasant worked hard ,on time and left the place clean.
Couldn't ask for more.

I rang to enquire about getting a Damp survey just now. I am the homeowner and gave full information on property and myself. But was then asked for personal details about my relationship to other person in property and their full name and details . When questioning why they needed this info as I am sole homeowner , they became very aggressive and first said they need to know for condensation and then later that they need full details as they need to know who is in property , then after that said they require as they need to send report to them. Despite saying it’s a friend temporarily staying they then refused to book appointment without info and terminated the call.
How aggressive and defensive they were made me suspicious and was totally unnecessary and as someone who has to deal with data protection in my job, I am confident that they have no just cause for demanding this data and holding it. Beyond poor and dodgy ! Avoid !
Having tried to get my review removed by trust pilot unsuccessfully , thank you trust pilot. I’m not surprised one bit by their response . I contacted three other companies to enquire and request a survey , none of which required the full details of the person I was living with and what my relationship status was with them , as why would they as I am the sole homeowner. In fact I have someone coming today to undertake the survey without asking or requiring full names and my relationship status to anyone else at the property .
Refusing to book an appointment with the homeowner without the full name and details of my relationship status is not reasonable and justified and the attitude and tone I received was aggressive and confrontational. I suggest the company re-read the GDPR regulations as I’m struggling to think of a reasonable and justified reason for requiring this information to book an appointment, the homeowners details should suffice.

The work was successfully completed within the estimated time scale. Elliott Williams was the contractor who carried out the work and he was brilliant. Very cheerful and helpful and determined to do an excellent job for us. He kept us informed about each stage of the work, and always left things as neat and tidy as possible.

Alfie and his labour was very polite and helpful made sure everything was clean and tidy every day and finished everything ro a high standard and a pleasure to have work here would definitely recommend

I had my house all outside/inside damp proof and the odd bricks taking out re-pointing and then I had the whole house painted. They came and explained everything that you could understand and the two lads that came did a lovely job damp proofing and Elliott who came to do everything else at the house did a fantastic job and whatever we asked him he helped with and a very knowledgeable as he explained everything what he was doing. And always arrived on time very hard-working he never stopped

Stuart the surveyor arrived promptly. He was very efficient and explained things thoroughly. He gave an honest assessment, and fortunately found no current problem with damp, only an issue from a previous leak, which only requires re plastering. There was no pressure to have work done, and I feel that should there be a problem in the future then I would definitely recommend this company.

Had a suryey done by Peter. He was very thorough and answered all questions I had. I decided to go ahead with the damp proofing. Dan and Tyrie came to do the work. Both lovely friendly lads. I couldn't recommend them enough. They were both clearly very experienced, fast and efficient and were more than happy to have me around answering any questions I had and explained everything they were doing along the way. Would definitely recommend home building and survey company👌 5 star from me.

AVOID AVOID AVOID AVOID
An absolute bunch of clueless amateurs. The team were supposed to drill holes around the outside perimeter of my property to inject secomur. On day one they drilled the holes 10 cm higher than the internal floors! I complained to their head office who said "well even an experienced installer can have a bad day," Terrible attitude, belligerent and uncaring.
On second day the team once again began drilling without stepping into house to gauge the floor height, and once again drilled at height ABOVE internal floors! Absolutely useless as a damp proofing solution, secomur should be injected BELOW internal floor level. To make things even worse I investigated the depths to which they had drilled and found that the holes were only 7 cm deep, this is LESS THAN HALF as deep as they should have been drilled to be effective, my property is two bricks deep and secomur's installation instructions state to drill to 16.5 cm. ALL of the work they had completed was a useless, incompetent WASTE OF TIME.
I telephoned their head office to tell them not to bother turning up the following day as I had ZERO TRUST in their company. The two directors didn't seem to understand the level of incompetence involved, or didn't care, all they wanted was for me to give them a third chance to put things right, clowns.
They will no doubt reply to this with their calm, slick corporate talk but BE AWARE, these people are NOT the five star company they portray themselves to be.

I WOULD STRONGLY URGE ANYONE WHO HAS HAD WORK DONE BY THIS COMPANY TO INVESTIGATE WHETHER IT WAS CARRIED OUT COMPETENTLY. REMOVE THE THIN LAYER OF MORTAR COVERING THE DRILL HOLES USING A LONG SCREWDRIVER, THEN INSERT THE SCREWDRIVER AS FAR AS YOU CAN IN ORDER TO GAUGE THE HOLE'S DEPTH. THE HOLES SHOULD BE AS DEEP AS YOUR WALL, MINUS FIVE CENTIMETERS.

IF THESE HOLES WERE NOT DRILLED SUFFICIENTLY DEEPLY THE TREATMENT WILL NOT BE EFFECTIVE AND YOUR DAMP WILL RETURN !
