Called on Thursday morning had adam or alex cant remember his name. Next day he came very polite seen the trouble we were having with damp coming from them subfloor.
He explained what was happening and the remedy to put right.
Price was a bit extreme but learnt from other jobs we had done and cheapest isn't the best option and they will be starting in a weeks time. Hope I can add to this review once the job is completed but so far so good 👍

.We can not fault these guys from start to finish. We put a post on check a trade these called me Friday we made arrangement's for a surveyor to come Tuesday, Richard was so helpful talked us through everything inside and outside, he sorted out his paperwork and called the office they came back with a quote we agreed and the following Tuesday they were at ours. The work they did was great looked after my carpets kept everything tidy, they had to knock off all the plaster from a wall replaster it, excellent job done looks lovely and they cleared up hoovered was impressed. Same outside cleaned up after. I would recommend this company they finished the work Thursday i paid and got Guarantee Friday. Thank you for doing a great job Michelle & Peter.

A good experience all round for Damp Proof course and some rising damp. The office have been very efficient with their admin setting up appointments and issuing instuctions and the surveyor gave us a very clear run down of what was needed and other additional options we could also consider. The lads doing the work did a great job. Jay explained exactly what they were doing and then talked me through everything after it was completed. The newly plastered wall has never looked so good. They cleaned up after themselves and left everything tidy. Extra time was taken to ensure all the guttering was clear and leaks were fixed. Very pleased with work.

I booked a damp survey through this company which took place this week. They booked in the survey immediately and arranged a confirmation call the day before. Ritchard arrived on time, was friendly and knowledgeable, and quickly identified my issue and pointed me in the right direction. There was no attempt to upsell me or recommend unnecessary or inappropriate investigations or actions. I would highly recommend the company and Ritchard in particular.

Peter carried out our survey and was very informative about the process.
Then our damp proofing was carried out by Tyrie - who I cannot speak highly enough about. He arrived promptly, explained every step of the process; showing the work as he went so we could get a better understanding. He was friendly, professional and tidy. Every room was left exactly how he found it, tidying up any debris or dust. He was also mindful of our pets and the noise, which again was really appreciated.
Cannot recommend Tyrie enough, fingers crossed for as great results! 🤞🏼

Very good experience. The survey was carried out by Peter, he was very thorough and explained everything clearly. Office staff were prompt and helpful in response to emails and phone calls. The damp proofing was done by Dan, Paul and Tyrie. They did an excellent job, there was much less mess and disruption than I had expected. An unforeseeable problem occurred as there was a hot water pipe inside a cavity wall. Paul and Dan did a great job of sorting this while Tyrie cracked on with treating the internal walls.

I was impressed by the initial consultation which was thorough, comprehensive and explanatory. Your office staff were on the ball and kept me informed as to when damp proofing would begin (the only 'potential' error was not telling me when the electricians were due to arrive to fit fans: thankfully I was at home when they arrived - from Bournemouth!- so what could have been a disaster was averted). The work was carried out with every care taken so that messy building work made as little impact as possible on my day-to-day living spaces - which I really appreciated. The builders (Ross and Harry) were a good team and were great to deal with (efficient, dedicated to the job in hand, and personable) and Ross masterminded all the operations of others who helped out with doing the injections etc. He always had time for my questions. I was really pleased with their work from start to finish and would not hesitate to recommend your company and all the good people you employ. Thank you!!

Richard came to our property and was honest, knowledgeable and incredibly helpful. He had numerous suggestions on how we could delay doing expensive works to help the damp issues that have arisen. We will also be using their services in conjunction with our contractors to make right the issues upon our next renovation works we are planning. I highly recommend their services and a free consultation really meant free.

There were delays in starting the roofing work as they couldn't find a man for quite a few weeks. The job carried out was simpler than the company's surveyor's recommendation but I was only offered a discount (8%) when I asked for one. When I objected to the standard of the (allegedly completed work), the contractor returned with a burner (rather than glue) and a lot more felt which he took a morning to lay. The company didn't check the contractor's work after the second attempt so I don't feel confident about recommending the company. But the roof hasn't leaked since (mid Sept '26). As with all transactions like this, both sides can feel aggrieved. But it is hard for customers to understand trading conditions these days, given rising costs and admin so I've given this 2 stars.

I’ve had the pleasure of dealing with Home Building Services and I honestly can’t fault them. Great company, really professional and a genuinely good team of people.
They know their stuff when it comes to damp proofing, they turn up when they say they will, work hard and take pride in doing the job properly. Everything is well organised and communication is always spot on.
For me, the biggest thing is reliability and being able to trust the people you’re dealing with, and these guys definitely tick those boxes.
Would happily recommend Home Building Services to anyone needing damp-proofing work. Proper company, proper service and good people to deal with. 5 stars from me. 👍💯💪
