Anyone got experience with Etihad Holidays?
We booked package (flights and accommodation) for a special celebration, to receive an email saying flights have changed to fly out the next day...
Given a short stay anyway, this doesn't work for us and drastically reduces holiday time.
Despite plenty of emails and calls, a working week on and we're no further on, despite us suggesting flights and packages available on their site.
Really not happy

Attempted to book online but there was a glitch in the website which meant I could not add my 1 year old son on. Therefore booked over the phone. We booked business class flights but after the ticket was issued found out that we had not been offered the £40 charge for the taxi service, seat reservation and lounge access. I attempted to correct this with the agency actually speaking to the original person I placed my booking with and was told that it would be nearly £2000 to now make this amendment. I attempted to explain the situation but no help was offered whatsoever. I explained that I didn’t need to change the ticket just add the add on but again no help. Requested to speak to a manager - told no one was available. Please avoid booking with this company via an agent. Very disappointing as I originally left positive feedback for the agent

I’m truly disappointed with Etihad Holiday and I will not be using their service again. I asked to change the spelling of a name, I had to chase the agents multiple times to get confirmation that it was done. They kept delaying the name change. I received confirmation 3-4 weeks after i made payment, 40hrs before my flight I had to chase the Etihad holiday team for my PNR number, so that I could check in as they forgot it to send me. I was given 2 PNR numbers. I queried the agent why we had 2 PNR and if the booking is together as we booked a holiday package. The agent reassured us that everything was okay, and my husband and i would sit together, the booking was not split and the only reason we had 2 PNR number is that we changed the spelling of the name. The agent also confirmed that Etihad airline will know the tickets are together and we will would sit together. I am truly disappointed that this was not the experience my husband and I had. We later found out from Etihad airline that they (Etihad holiday) created two separate bookings, despite booking our holiday as one (holiday package). I had to call Etihad airline to explain the issue, as the responses from Eithad holiday was not adding up. The agent from Etihad airline explained that they (Eithad holiday) didn’t need to create 2 separate bookings to change the spelling of the name and it could easily be done on the system. I ended up having to put both companies on the phone together for Eithad holiday to understand how to change name without splitting the booking. The worst part is that when I explained to the manager at Etihad holiday he was very defensive, unprepared and not comforting of the situation. I was really upset and frustrated by this, as the start to our honeymoon hadn’t kicked off the best way. To hear Etihad airline confirming that our tickets are not linked, and no information was passed onto them truly upset me. The only way we could sit together was to pay over £40 per plane & per person. I refused to pay the extra money as i shouldn't have to pay to request to sit with my husband on a flight that we booked together. I strongly believe Eithad Airline should rethink about their partnership with Eithad Holiday via Capita. It was very clear they don’t understand Eithad airline process and falsely provide wrong information. Due to this we could not sit together on 4 different planes, flight duration 12 hours. I was promised by Eithad holiday it would be resolved before we flew but the issue was not fixed. Anyone booking Eithad holiday should be aware its NOT the same company as Eithad Airline. Be careful using Eithad Holiday.

Amazing experience at the hotel. Our trip was for Golf. I advise using Viya for all your golf booking needs in UAE. The trip was cheaper than other providers as we booked 10 months in advance. All went well. Loved the trip. Will use EH for our next trip to the UAE.

Hotel was closed… Had a 2 night stopover, but hotel had been closed 2 months before i arrived. Had asked their customer service to confirm that everything was okay 1 week before arrival. So I showed up at a closed hotel and had to book another hotel on the spot at 11 pm without internet after a long travel.

Vor diesem Unternehmen kann man nur warnen. Ich habe dort eine Reise gebucht und sie storniert aus privaten Gründen. Das ist jetzt sechs Wochen her. Ich bekam eine Bestätigung, dass die Differenz ausgezahlt wird. Das war es auch bis heute. Habe noch kein Geld bekommen. Und bis jetzt wurde ich nur hingehalten. Man sollte sich genau überlegen, ob man dort bucht oder bei Capital Holidays. Das Unternehmen selber ist sicherlich in Ordnung. Aber wenn Dinge einmal nicht so laufen, wie sie sollen, dann treten die Schwierigkeiten auf-ich habe heute bis jetzt mein Geld noch nicht zurück. Man wird nur hingehalten. Auch ich glaube, es grenzt an Betrug.

Booked with Etihad Holidays as a lot cheaper than other companies (over £1000 for the four if us). Actual flight was with Emirates. No issues at all. Transfers booked with Etihad as part of the package - they were at arrivals as advised they would be and return transfer very clearly communicated. No issues with hotel. Had a rep at the hotel and he was helpful.

Everything was as booked and no problems with either the flights, hotel reservation or transfer arrangements. Nothing to worry about after reading some awful reviews of ths company. Sure they don't have an on-line dedicated booking login system to review your holiday and make amendments but their staff are on hand over the phone and via email to answer any questions or queries.

We booked on 5 Aug 2024 for 4 people return flights on Etihad.
Outbound is 19 October from Melbourne via Abu Dhabi (3 nights) to Paris.

8 weeks in and we still don't have one proactive communication from Etihad or Etihad holidays confirming our FREE stopover accommodation.

After 10+ chats, numerous phone calls, and multiple emails, best we get is "..we will email when accommodation is booked".

It's now less than 10 days b4 departure on frustrating to not be able to lock-in our UAE experiences.

There is no single point of contact, no means to talk with Etihad holidays, and no one that can take accountability to lock in our accommodations.

Help please! We are so excited to spend time in Abu Dhabi, but now feel worried and uncertain.

Ich hab eine Reise über ab-in-den-Urlaub.de gebucht (wie jedesmal). Dieses Mal war der Reiseveranstalter Capital Holidays (Etihad Holidays). Bis zur Buchung lief alles reibungslos, habe auch direkt eine Buchungsbestätigung bekommen. Aus privaten Gründen musste ich die Buchung leider am nächsten Tag stornieren. Ich schrieb eine Mail bezüglich meines Anliegens, wollte aber bevor die Stornierung stattfindet, die Stornierungskosten (falls welche berechnet werden) erfahren. Als Antwort bekam ich eine Mail, wo die Reise schon direkt storniert und mir eine Rechnung mit über 50% des Reisepreises (die noch nicht bezahlt wurde) für die Stornierung berechnet worden sind.
Zunächst hab ich darauf hingewiesen, dass ich vor der Stornierung die Kosten erfahren wollte. Als leider keiner auf dieses Anliegen richtig eingegangen ist, bat ich um Kulanz und wollte die Stornierung rückgängig machen und die Reise dann lieber antreten. Daraufhin bekam ich eine Mail mit der Antwort das die Reaktivierung erfolgen kann, jedoch dass das ursprünglich Angebot nicht mehr zur Verfügung stehe und ich einen Gesamtbetrag von 578€ dazu zahlen solle.
Ich habe mehrmals darauf hingewiesen, dass das Angebot auf der Homepage noch verfügbar ist und ich das nicht akzeptiere, jedoch wurde leider nicht auf mein Anliegen eingegangen.
Als ich darauf keine Antwort bekam, schrieb ich erneut das ich die Reise antreten möchte. Erst am nächsten Tag (heute) wurde mir per Mail mitgeteilt, dass meine „Anfrage“ an einen Kollegen vor Ort weitergeleitet wurde da die Preise Tagesaktuell sind. Zudem wurde mir sogar mitgeteilt, dass es angeblich keine Verfügbarkeit gäbe.
Ich bin sehr enttäuscht über diesen Ablauf.
Ich hab das Gefühl ich werde über den Tisch gezogen!!
Ich rate jedem von der firma Capital Holidays ab!!

Wir hatten einen tollen Urlaub auf den Malediven mit Etihadholidays.
Geflogen sind wir mit Emirates, die für mich aktuell ganz oben im Ranking der besten Airlines steht. Wir hatten ein tolles Apartment mit Ai und allem was das Herz begehrt. Außerdem wurden wir von den Mitarbeitern von Etihadholidays am Flughafen sehr freundlich empfangen und sehr professionell bis zum Einchecken begleitet und mussten uns um nichts kümmern.
Von uns gibt es eine klare Empfehlung und wir werden wieder darüber buchen.

Ich habe kürzlich über CHECK24 eine Pauschalreise auf die Malediven gebucht, die von Etihad Holidays angeboten wurde. Die Buchung verlief zunächst reibungslos, und ich erhielt eine Bestätigung für die Reise. Leider endete die Erfahrung hier nicht positiv.

Einen Tag nach der Buchung erhielt ich eine Nachricht von Etihad Holidays, dass das ursprünglich angebotene Angebot nicht mehr zur Verfügung stehe und meine Buchung daher storniert werden müsse. Mir wurde jedoch die Möglichkeit angeboten, dieselbe Reise zu einem um 1000 € höheren Preis erneut zu buchen.

Ich bin sehr enttäuscht über diesen Ablauf. Es fühlt sich wie eine unfaire Praxis an, erst ein günstiges Angebot anzubieten, um dann den Preis erheblich zu erhöhen, sobald die Buchung abgeschlossen ist. Dies hat nicht nur meine Urlaubspläne durcheinander gebracht, sondern auch mein Vertrauen Etihad Holidays erheblich erschüttert.

Ich habe mich an den Kundenservice von CHECK24 gewandt und hoffe auf eine zufriedenstellende Lösung. Dennoch möchte ich andere Reisende vor möglichen ähnlichen Erfahrungen warnen. Prüfen Sie Angebote gründlich und seien Sie auf mögliche Preisänderungen gefasst.

Wir haben zu dritt eine Roulette Reise nach Abu Dhabi gebucht. Mit Halbpension. A loft oder gleichwertig.
Untergekommen sind wir in einer Bruchbude. Ramada Corniche. Die Verpflegung unterirdisch. Wein gab es nicht.
Das Zimmer. Katastrophal. Das 3. Bett war eine Pritsche mitten im Zimmer.
Nach Beschwerde bei Etihad wurde erst gar nicht reagiert.
Dann nur ein Hinweis ich hätte Roulette gebucht und das wäre so.
Ich rate jedem der seinen Urlaub genießen will von diesem Unternehmen ab. Wenn man Bewertungen liest... ist das hier kein Einzelfall.
Heute habe ich meinen Anwalt eingeschaltet um meine Rechte einzufordern.
Etihad...nie wieder!!

Ein online Reisebüro, mit wirklich sehr freundlichen Mitarbeitern.
Unsere Reise = Cityhighlights Abu Dhabi (4-Sterne Hotel "Pearl Rotana" ) & Dubai (5-Sterne Hotel "Mövenpick Bur Dubai") + Strandparadies Fujairah (5-Sterne Hotel "Miramar Al Aqah Resort) .Der Reiseleiter hat uns in Abu Dhabi begrüßt und alle Zeiten für die Ausflüge und Transfers mitgeteilt . Wir bekamen seine Handynummer und konnten über WhatsApp Kontakt halten . Beim Ausflug - Sunset Marina Cruise (Dauer 1Stunde) - wurden wir vergessen abzuholen(16:00 Uhr) . Der Reiseleiter war sofort erreichbar und kümmerte sich . Um 18:00 Uhr wurden wir abgeholt und machten den selben Ausflug mit , nur diesmal 2 Stunden . Bei den anderen Ausflügen war alles perfekt .Alles genau so wie man sich einen organisierten Traumurlaub vorstellt.
Die Smartwing Flüge waren ok und es lief alles reibungslos ab.
Ich werde gerne wieder bei Etihad Holidays buchen.
Preis/Leistungsverhältnis unschlagbar!

Ein unkompliziertes online Reisebüro, mit wirklich sehr freundlichen Mitarbeitern. Unsere Reise war wirklich genau so wie wir es gebucht hatten.
Nach anfänglicher Skepsis war ich total begeistert . Unsere Reise gebucht mit Nonstop Flug Nürnberg - Abu Dhabi , war alles top , ebenso das gebuchte Hotel. ( das in unserer Pauschalreise angeboten wurde) und unseren inclusiven Ausflüge.Der Reiseleiter Vorort hat uns begrüßt , und aufgeklärt, man wurde mit dem Shuttle vom Airport abgeholt und wieder gebracht. Bei den Ausflügen war auch alles perfekt .Alles genau so wie man sich einen organisierten Traumurlaub vorstellt.
Wir würden jederzeit wieder über Ethiad Holiday buchen. Auch die Smartwing Flüge waren ok und es lief alles reibungslos ab. Also ein rundum Packet tip top!
Mit meiner anfänglichen Skepsis, wurde ich Ehr als 1000 % eines besseren belehrt! Also Daumen hoch für dieses Unternehmen.Unkomplizierte Bezahlung. Alles Safe.

Wir sind mit, durch andere Bewertungen, gemischten Gefühlen in den Urlaub gestartet. Was soll ich sagen? Ich weiß nicht, wo diese Personen gebucht haben.
Unser Urlaub, 14 Tage, davon 7 Tage Rundreise durch Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Al Ain und einmal Wüstensafari mit Übernachtung im Wüstencamp und 7 Tage Erholung in Ras al Chaima, war super organisiert. Unser Reiseleiter, Wael, hat uns super durch die erste Woche begleitet. Von der Organisation bis zu den Hotels war alles tiptop.
Wir können Etihad Holidays nur empfehlen und würden dort sofort wieder buchen.
Auch die Ansprechpartner in Deutschland waren sehr hilfsbereit und haben uns sehr geholfen bei unseren Fragen.

Nach anfänglicher Skepsis auf Grund der teilweise schlechten Bewertungen haben wir doch über Etihad Holidays gebucht und waren sehr zufrieden. Von der Sitzplatzreservierung im Flugzeug, schönes Hotel, alle Transfers pünktlich, deutsche Reiseleitung vor Ort immer erreichbar, nette Guides bei den Ausflügen, es war perfekt. Einzige negative Erfahrung auf der Heritagetour war der lange Halt beim Juwelier.
Aber trotzdem waren alle stets bemüht .

Also für das Geld, ist mehr als Super. Wir sind sehr zufrieden. Alles war super, danke schön, gerne wieder!

I have recently booked with Etihad Holidays, and realistically they are very helpful, and very clear, I’am definitely looking forward to go on this holiday with them.

Please becareful before booking with this company they are not related to Etihad airways ! We first booked with this firm thinking everything was okay , we are traveling with two children with disabilities and the firm would not assist with this ! Two weeks later we found the same holiday £900 cheaper ! Unfortunately to change ment we lost £200 deposit as we do not hold credit cards we could not claim this :( then it’s getting nearer time to pay and reading the reviews I am so nervous hanging over £6K and you have to pay by bank transfer reading the negative reviews waiting 7 days for the staff to come back to you ! If you telephone the help line no one can answer any questions ! We decided to go through a well know travel agent but again we lost another £200 as I could not bare thought hanging over money to a company with poor reviews unhelpful telephone centre and paying by bac transfer it was not worth thinking out holiday might not go ahead ! I think it’s absolutely disgusting that I have lost £400 and our holiday was probably sold to someone else please please be careful do not book through this company for a wealthy Company you would think they would have better customer service !! AVOID at all costs
