Motor home was subpar and poor customer relayions
Motor home was subpar. Going over some rough road the MH starting falling apart. Fender fell off and the other one was loose. Shower leaked drenching our clothes during a rain storm. Finally' we got in a minor accident where a semi trailer hit the MH. It was the other vehicles fault. We provided your company with all the insurance info from the other veh. Your company did not pursue damages from them but chose to take the damages from our deposit. Said we could pursue if we wanted. Extremely poor service and customer relations. I will never use or recommend your company again.

I rented a motorhome for the second…
I rented a motorhome for the second time. The first time was a very good experience, the second not so much. The motorhome was very old and worn out; the bathroom was leaking water from the shower, and the toilet was also leaking. Inside the motorhome, the front panel behind the steering wheel was all loose, shaking throughout the entire trip.

Clean, Easy & Great Customer Service

As a first-time RV user
As a first-time RV user, I was very clear when booking that I needed a turnkey experience—RV delivered, fully operational, and ready to enjoy with my family. Unfortunately, this was far from the case, and the condition of the RV severely negatively impacted our trip.
Here are the main issues we encountered:
• Sewage Line Left Unconnected: The sewage line was left on the ground, leaking waste onto the campsite. This not only created an unsanitary and foul-smelling environment, but it also made my daughter ill enough that she had to leave early. The neighboring campers were so disturbed that they ended up leaving as well.
• No Functional Fresh Water Supply: The fresh water tank leaked and never properly registered. We had no running water, which defeated the purpose of renting an RV entirely. It felt more like we were rough camping, despite paying for the convenience of a motorhome.
• Water Leaks from the Shower: The shower was not sealed properly, so every use resulted in flooding that spilled into the kitchen area. We had to use beach towels to mop up the mess, and ultimately gave up and used the public showers at the campground.
• Non-working Oven and Ineffective Refrigerator: The oven never worked at all, and the refrigerator never got truly cold—another major inconvenience given we had planned and packed accordingly.
All of these issues combined completely disrupted our trip, caused unnecessary stress, and even resulted in my daughter leaving early because the smell from the leak and the sewage made her ill. I trusted El Monte RV to provide a clean, functioning vehicle and a smooth experience. I’m very disappointed that this trust was not upheld.
That said, I do appreciate that every business can encounter issues, and I’m still open to being a future customer every year as we would like this to become a tradition with our friends and family—if the company makes this right.
Given the severity of the problems, I am respectfully requesting a refund for at least three of the five days of the rental. I believe this is more than fair, considering how much of our experience was compromised.
