Absolutely Awful Customer Service
Like a previous reviewer said, the company rarely responds and when you say anything about canceling an order, they suddenly stop responding period. I asked to cancel an order I placed in January 2022. I was first told I would receive it in April/May of 2022 and the end of May came around and I still had not heard anything. I contacted to cancel my order and I would get the same canned response of "you will miss out on SO many things if you cancel". I asked to cancel my order on three separate occasions between May 2022 and the day that I am posting this review. I have threatened legal action and going to the Better Business Bureau because Digital Dream Labs refuses to assist me.
Shady business with nothing but excuses
In November 2020 I put in a pre-order for a Magic Butter Robot ($300 CAD) and after over a year of failing to reach production milestones and finding some alarming posts about them on Reddit, I decided to pull out on April 1st of this year.
It was cancelled but NOT refunded to Paypal and I have been getting the runaround from customer support with nothing but excuses until they ceased all contact on April 29th. This is unacceptable.

I’ve been emailing Support for a month about needing to cancel my order because it’s been several months since I paid and they’re unable to give me even an estimated date that I will receive my robot. I had several emails back-and-forth where support gave me many reasons why I should not cancel my order. As soon as I confirmed that I wanted to cancel my order the email responses stopped. I’ve emailed three times in the last three weeks and have received no replies.
No progress done on Vector
I bought Vector membership. They said in their announcements and updates that there were new things like new animations, new games, etc but there is nothing of that.
They kept the robot like it was and just changed the boot animation.
I know they need money to stay up, but for 10 dollars/month it's not worth it.

Vector lifetime mebership purchased. Vector stops connecting over bluetooth.
Contacted customer support but no help, 2 replies with no solution, only default answers. Then they stoppped responding.
I am a backer I believed in the company…
I am a backer I believed in the company taking over the vector robot product with the desire to maintain the functionality, create a community of developers and continue improve and add the the features available to users. I have not received my OSKR+ or escape pod downloads/info packs or whatever it was supposed to be. I am also now being emailed and asked to purchase a lifetime membership that was included in my original backer package. Nothing shows on my account still no way to view what I've paid for, I honestly don't understand how nothing has been done since Nov 2020 I've had enough now.
Digital Dream Labs - this is SCAM
I bought a lifetime license on January 22nd, unfortunately it failed to run on the robot. For 4 days, the technician came up with new ideas and nothing. On January 26, the technician stated that the robot is not connected to the servers and I have to wait. From that moment on, they stopped responding to emails. On February 3, I still have no response from the site, nor the robot connected to the servers. This company is a scam. They take money from people and do not meet their obligations. Anki was a serious company. DDL is SCAM.
Only new customers have priority, existing ones gets ignored.
I have Vector from the beginning and bought a Kickstarter lifetime subscription.
I had a question about this by adding a new Vector the license. It gets fully ignored by 2 different support options for 7 AND 10 days!!!
My friend sent Digital Dream Labs yesterday a message about purchasing a new subscription and they replied almost immediately.
Anki made a lot of updates for the robot, this company is only creating own robots and 'mumbling' features but never enrolling them. I've been a member for almost 2 years now and have seen nothing special!
All I see is that this company is trying to make as much money as possible and has absolutely no concern for its customers.

Non-delivery of year old purchase
I ordered a Toy called "The Butter Robot" (seen on Rick & Morty - the cartoon) over a year ago.
I still have not received it and they won't even give me an ESTIMATE of when I can expect to receive it.
I paid $180.67 USD (after shipping and taxes).
To charge that much for a Toy and not give even an estimate of delivery date is ridiculous, bordering on unethical. (I'm wondering if I've been scammed at this point)
They responded to my latest email -
"Thanks for reaching out. I understand that you're eager for delivery of The Butter Robot. We are as well; our team is working toward production of The Butter Robot. However The Butter Robot is designed to be a fully functioning robot complete with text-to-speech capability, remote control capability, object recognition and detection, and more. Hence, it IS taking time to develop, especially given current supply chains and manufacturing processes in the age of COVID.
That said, you are always in control of your order. If you need to change your order, to include cancelling it, we can help handle that for you if you request it. We are doing what we can to provide you as much information as possible via email. Please ensure you are signed up for Pre-Order Newsletters"
Is it just me or does this seem like a poor excuse? (If vaccine developers and computer software - and hardware - developers can give an estimate for the date of completion, shouldn't Digital Dream Labs be able to do the same?)
NB: Not all of the functions they describe were said to be a part of the toy when I ordered it. If they didn't keep updating / adding to it, I would think it would already be delivered.
