Really bad quality meat, food crunchy from the massive amounts of bone, rancid and made both my dogs either sick or basically pooing chalky bone fragments. Staff completely uninterested, argumentative and rude, I really don't understand how complete food needs to be "elongated" with meat only to reduce the bone content, both my dogs have been absolutely fine on 10 10 80 on meats elsewhere - surely it's not balanced if I do that!

Avoid like the plague. I've been with them for a number of years, tried to support and even recommended - I have the patience of Job, but I've had enough. The service is absolute rubbish. Certain staff are just plain rude and it's continual excuses, excuses for bad service, failed delivery, lack of items etc and ....when you live 20ml from the nearest town and rely on a delivery service to help you out - if it keeps on failing..which DAF do regularly, you are left high and dry. I've had to be in contact with the office so often that I know certain members on first name terms. It is absolutely ridiculous. Today, my delivery hasn't arrived, I placed my order a week in advance, I deleted their acknowledging emails as I didn't think it nec. to keep them. They took my money the day after my order was received, and are now saying that the order wasn't placed as they have no proof at their end. The irony of the fact that they have my money and have offered to refund - seems to have escaped them. It seems pretty much proof that my order was placed and accepted, even though they nave no record of it. No deliveries for another week, no apologies, just cockiness.... Great. Thank you for nothing DAF. Definitely avoid because they don't appreciate kindness and patience, they just behave as if they are doing you a great favour - when they've made yet another mistake.
Landywoods used to be my raw supplier and I left to give a DAF a go. It's been more hassle than its worth and I've just reconnected with Landywoods again.

I’ve raw fed my dog for the past 7 years and have used daf for 18 months now. My beloved pooch was diagnosed with severe food and environmental allergies 4 years ago and the only protein safe for her to eat is venison. I’ve tried many different raw suppliers from the eye wateringly expensive to the more reasonable (daf). I can honestly say daf is great and have been consistent with supply of what is usually a seasonal meat. The minces are nice and dry never had anything like what is being described in these reviews. The minces are 80/10/10 and the bone pieces are small and when I break up the meat I’ve never found any foreign objects. It would be lovely to get more venison bones and maybe a bit smaller (they are huge) but that is my only ‘complaint’. I’ve only dealt with the office once and they were lovely, and can honestly say that all the delivery drivers have been happy chatty and helpful.

Have been using this brand for about 6 months. Always found something inside the minces... which I can understand that sometimes it happens but this is too often. Today I have found a big piece of black stone inside one of his minces. They don't care about your animals, change brand!!
Very disappointed and disgusted. No wonder why everyone don't recommend DAF!

Sadly, you are not able to give minus stars because this outfit definatley deserves -5.
They openly Lie when you speak to them and I have noticed on their web page this morning that they state they have 5/5 stars from Trust Pilot.
Interestingly its not what is says on here. If you look there is much comment on social media that complain about the same thing. Poor quality meat that is often ransid and past the point that you would ever feed it to a pet. Foreign objects in meat, Large lumps of bone and the fact that the packs do not seal properly leaking blood everywhere is common place. (The latter probably being the reason for the rotten meat). I phoned them a couple of weeks ago and was openly told that they had never heard of these issues, Eerrrr, Sack your social media team then because its all over the web. I then wrote to the three Directors of the business and have not even had the courtesy of a response. In fairness, it seems to be a developing issue as we have used them for a while and it was ok, Yes, I know there is a price point issue and they are extremely competitive but that does not excuse their legal responsibility to provive a product that is fit for use.

After using this company for several years I am now finding the quality of their food very poor, along with their customer service if you query a bad batch of dog food. Sloppy minces, bone too large in some and poor packaging as well. My dogs have been getting upset tummies also. Hence to say I am now using a different raw food company!

Have been using Daf for a few years as the bulk ingredient for my dog's raw diet. Now and again, some batches had high bone content that made my dog constipated. However, the last few orders have been terrible. The thick bits of bone are visible, and the 'meat' feels coarse like gravel when mixing in veg etc. May dog's constipation got severely worse, and when he did pass a motion, it was literally dust!! Some of the residue turned white within 60 minutes of being in the sun. This stuff is absolute rubbish, and DAF should be ashamed of themselves for selling it. I've found another supplier of similar raw meat, and the difference is night and day. In the interest of fairness, I waited before posting this to compare the feeds, just in case the problem is with my dog's digestive system, however he is back to normal - normal, soft motion, instead of blood-streaked dust. If you care about your animals, buy elsewhere. Two stars as maybe they can turn this around.

We get our DAF from a local supplier, our 40kg GSD is on 1kg of food a day and has a raw meat only mixed with a raw complete. The bone content is high but it’s easily fixed and our boy loves it. 1KG of food is gone in minutes! Wouldn’t give him anything else now. Raw feeding him has changed his coat for the better and he seems so much happier and healthier!

Avoid! Have been using DAF for a while now all ok. Recent delivery made my dog very sick and ended up with a big vet bill. Spoke to DAF no apology, won’t send replacement, wouldn’t offer discount for next order. You’ve lost my business!

Thought I would try this raw food for my french bulldog, as he has developed allergies.
I usually use Raw Made Simple, but thought I would try my boy on this raw food, and it was full of sharp bones!!!
I actually went through the whole packet of food, and picked out about 30 sharp bones!. I hate to think whet would of happened to my dog if he had eaten them.
From now on I am sticking to Raw Made simple, as it’s much better quality and the bones are not sharp at all

We have been feeding my shih tzu on a raw diet now for 5 years and have tried so many different brands all stat out great and eaten with gusto but eventually the dogs get bored and we have to change to another company. They have all been enjoying DAF snow for over a year and can’t ever seem to get enough. We breed shih tzu and raise our puppies onto DAF a and so my only concern with DAF is the size of the bones we actually have to kind of sift through with our fingers to make it safe and this side of things certainly concerns other customers too which is really unfortunate otherwise I’d say it was perfect. The meat quality seems to be very high quality & the variety of proteins is not only fantastic but is what’s keeping my dogs and puppies in love with DAF.
From reading these reviews it seems a lot of the issues are with the customer service, I get my DAF a through my local supplier & so I’m yet to experience anything with their team. So from our experience honestly it’s been fantastic & if they can just grind down the bone a little finer they’d be perfect.

I found a dangerous piece of metal in some minced chicken.
If I hadn’t seen this razor sharp foreign object it could have killed my puppy.
This company produces feed of a seriously poor quality. I’m not sure why they haven’t been shut down.

I’ve used DAF for a number of year’s and would regard myself as a valued customer. I’ve had a few issues with past orders with missing items, but this last order has been an absolute joke. Emails, phone calls all reassuring me that my missing products would be redelivered the following week. Sit in all day waiting for the delivery not to turn up for 2 weeks on the run now. I’m now looking for a new supplier as a customer should not be treated like this!

Joke of a business. Even if they are doing their bit for care in the community, the staff they employ appear to have deeper learning difficulties than a a special needs establishment could deal with. Three successive orders completely wrong and no interest whatsoever from DAF in rectifying it. I wish I had read the reviews before I got involved.

Please be very careful if you intend to feed your dog this food I found large sharp bones in the food which could have caused harm to my dog.

Avoid this food the bones in this product are massive. There that big i lost my bulldog due to this food he chock on a massive bone. I've had an ortopesy to see what killed him to make sure and it came back he chocked on a bone. I've gone through packs of the other food since and the bones in some of the packs are sharpe and missive. I dont want any one else going through the pain I have this week. My olde English bulldogge Teddy was only 2. Where all absolutely gutted.

Used DAF for over 10 years,never had any issues! Delivery driver is always friendly and helpful. Food is good quality, lots of variety, my dogs and cats are very happy and healthy on it.

AVOID AVOID AVOID!! I Wish I hadn't have bothered with this company. Appalling service, Appalling product (Raw dog food) the food i purchased was supposed to be 10% and 15% bone content, it was considerably higher than this and the bone shards were huge and sharp, I had to pull one piece out of the back of my dogs throat, and another piece looked like a fang, why would you find a fang in raw dog food?!! Dogs eat grazing animals and birds. This food gave my dogs severe constipation even when diluted with boneless meat. I sent in photos to DAF to show them how large the pieces were and they just told me to use a boneless meat and add bone myself! The shard were the length of the end of a table spoon. I would not recommend this supplier to anyone and will definitely not be purchasing from them again. 2 vet visits later and they're still not going as they should be. AVOID this company.

We have fed DAF complete minces and dinners to our 3 Shihtzu’s and a Labrador for well over a year now and they are all thriving.
No more refusing to eat from the Shihtzu’s that their renown for, empty plate every time.
Labradors coat is good and it has reduced the moulting.
No more yeasty smell that we used to get when they were fed on a dry diet.
Delivery is always as is should be, if there is any o/s items we have received a phone call to choose an alternative.

I found a stone in my dogs food. Very dissatisfied and disappointed with the response I got from them about this and after reading other reviews I am appalled to find others have found GLASS and PLASTIC in their food. This has put me off using them ever again! Appalling.
