I would like to explain the unfortunate adventure of repairing a 3 speed modular ahooga bicycle located in Barcelona.
The problem starts in September 2021. The bike is a little over a year old. I realize that only two of the three speeds work. It was not easy to find an ahooga dealer in barcelona. I went to Urban-Fan. In short: they had the bike for two months without doing anything. They had no training or instructions to repair the speed gear. After many conversations with ahooga spain (Alicante), they call me in early December saying that I have to remove the bike because the store closes permanently. !! I was shocked. Fortunately, they give me the address of another dealer in Barcelona.
On 04/12/21 I took the bike to Labosch Bike. This dealer is a good professional. After failing to get clear instructions from Ahooga on how to repair the drive gear, he decides to force Ahooga to sent the bike to the factory in Belgium. The bike left Barcelona twelve days ago and now I'm waiting.

Quand j'ai reçu le vélo pliant Ahooga, il était plié dans le carton, très bien, je le sors, je le déplie, et depuis impossible de le replier, la roue arrière doit normalement se mettre sous le vélo en geste. Impossible ! Je ne sais pourquoi. C'est ballot pour un vélo pliant de ne pas pouvoir le plier, vraiment. De plus, quand j'ai déplié le velo la première fois, la chaîne s'enlevait et il a fallu la remettre après avoir déplié le vélo. Ça fait bizarre pour un vélo soit disant haut de gamme de remettre la chaîne comme ça quand on le déplie. De plus le vélo Ahooga pliant a été reçu batterie vide et sans chargeur. Il a fallu en demander un, qui est arrivé bien plus tard. Un point positif, les vendeurs sur internet sont très gentils même s'ils sont pas trop réactifs. Et le vélo a un design magnifique, mais si on ne peut pas le plier pour l'emporter avec soi partout, c'est dommage.

Heureux propriétaire d’un Ahooga pliant électrique depuis un an, je dois dire que j’ai été très satisfait du service après-vente. Prise de rendez-vous sans aucun souci, accueil sympathique le jour du rendez-vous et entretien du vélo fait le jour même par un technicien qui a vraiment pris le temps nécessaire pour régler correctement tout ce que j’avais identifié comme petits soucis (et d’expérience je peux vous dire que dans d’autres magasins ce n’est pas souvent le cas). Que du bonheur pour le moment.

An ideal bike to go with children, well balanced and not too heavy. The design is quite nice and all the accessorries are made in good quality. After sales services very quick and efficient.

Un bon conseil, demandez un devis écrit avant toute réparation !!! Nous possédons 2 vélos pliables. Au bout de deux ans, le moteur du premier vélo ne fonctionne plus. Nous effectuons donc la réparation (la conversion du moteur) au prix de 250€. Quelques mois après, idem avec notre deuxième vélo. Ahooga nous dit que maintenant le prix de la conversion du moteur est passée à 350€ mais qu’ils veulent bien faire un geste et nous laisser la réparation à 250€. Après avoir attendu plusieurs mois pour faire cette conversion (car pas de stock)… Ahooga nous annonce que comme on a dû attendre longtemps, il nous offre le pneu et nous demande 504€ pour la conversion !!! Et oui… le moteur est passé de 250€ à 450€ !!! Scandaleux !!! Heureusement que nous avions un devis écrit !!! Et attention, maintenant les batteries reconditionnées sont passées à 500€ (au lieu de 250€) !!! Que se passe-t-il chez Ahooga ??? On a vraiment l’impression que les prix se font à la tête du client !!!

I recently received my ahooga modular bike.
I ordered this bike after researching online for quite a while. I wanted a bike to use in my daily commutes in Lisbon (a city with many uphill streets), to get my kid to and from school. Plus, it had to be lightweight enough and flexible enough to store in our apartment.
Oh, and did I mention affordable? yes, it had to be reasonably priced!
I ordered it in July and received it in October. I knew beforehand that this would take a while, with an extra 4 weeks from the expected September deadline.
And although this may sound like a reason for less than 5 stars, I was answered to, given explanations always in a personal and friendly way, and that made a big difference!
Enough about service, about the bike now:
It came with more bells and whistles than I had expected: the bike is very comfortable, the seat is extra-nice, so are the handles, and the riding position is very balanced. I ordered the low-step to be able to keep better balance with my 8-year old riding with me even when off the bike and dismounting; gears are easy to use and the pedal-assist dial is the right size- small, simple, intuitive.
Since my son rides with me I ordered the kid seat that was very easy to install in the pre-mounted racks and they sent the bike with footpegs all ready to use!
Plus, and this is one of the reasons I choose this bike, the handlebar swivel allows me to store this bike in a small space, with my other 2 bikes easily, and access any of the bikes without having to shuffle the others. It is a great feature!
The design and attention to detail in this bike are really outstanding!
Rinding it:
Riding this bike by myself is a breeze, I hardly use the pedal assist (although it is great when the wind picks up to have that extra help!!) because the bike is not very heavy (17Kg) + extra aluminum racks.
When I ride with my 23 kg kid, I use the pedal assist most of the way on 2 (out of 5) and on 5 on the occasional steep hills (9%).
In these steep hills, I need my full effort even on 5, but I would not be able to go up this hill with my kid were it not for the e-bike!!
Disk brakes: super nice and a must for riding safely with my son; also, came with a great set of led lights that are easy to charge and place/remove with magnetic holders, and a cushion for the rear rack for occasional riders.
I am very happy with it, my commutes are now car-free, hassle-free, fun filled and this bike is a big part of that!!
In case you missed, it in this long text, I highly recommend the modular, low-step, pedal-assist Ahooga Bike!

I love this bike. It had an issue that was quickly fixed. Great customer service by a friendly staff.

Je suis très satisfait de mon vélo modular. Il est performant et moins lourd que ceux des autres marques.

Probablement le meilleur vélo pliant sur le marché.
Et il en rentre deux + les bagages dans l'abarth 500 cabriolet quand on part en vacances.

Vélo léger, fiable, stable, pratique, à ranger facilement grâce au guidon que l'on peut placer parallèlement au vélo et aux pédales escamotables, bonne assistance électrique, batterie reconditionnable. Je n'ai pas trouvé mieux à ce prix

Definitely not worth the price. I have the bike since June and it has had to be fixed 3 times already. The battery is also not living up to the promises. You’ll have to charge it everyday if you want to be sure it won’t let you down. The folding system is only good if you don’t need regularly. It may be a good bike for leisure city tour but would definitely not recommend for everyday bikers or train users

Apres un an d'utilisation du vélo pliant power +, et près de 5000 kms parcouru , j'ai eu pas mal de problèmes tout au long de l'année mais le service clientèle à fait de son mieux pour trouver une solution à mes problèmes , il faut le signaler , ce n 'est pas partout comme ca.
c'est pourquoi mon avis a été modifié et mon évaluation bien meilleure

Service impeccable et suivis irréprochable.
En ce qui concerne le vélo ( folding 24V), Il est qualitatif et dépasse mes attentes.

Si vous avez une hésitation, n'hésitez pas à vous rendre sur places, les vendeurs prennent le temps de vous écouter et vous conseiller.
