I'm sorry the device isn't working for you. Did you reach out to support to troubleshoot? It could be a compatibility issue, in which case we have software that may help, or it could be a bad device, in which case we can replace it or refund you.
I'm not sure where you're getting this about the return policy. If it doesn't work for you, we'll refund you. Very simple. Searching our records, it doesn't look like you ever reached out to us about it though, so we would have no way to know you were having an issue.

Product didn't work for me, but customer service was amazing.
Update: I've updated my review because Zilkee was amazing with their customer service. I wasn't able to retrieve data, but they offered helpful suggestions and ultimately gave me a full refund and proved themselves to be a company you can trust to take care of their customers. Not only did the Data Recovery Converter not work on any of the 5 (2 SATA, 3 2.5) drives I tried it on, but I received about 10 emails trying to get me to buy other products in the first day after ordering. The return policy doesn't cover the product not working as advertised so... I guess I'm stuck with a completely useless converter.

Did you reach out to support to troubleshoot why the device wasn't working on your drives? We can probably help you with that. If not, we can refund you.
I'm sorry you were annoyed by the emails. Like most brands, our email volume is higher over black Friday and cyber Monday. But we've never sent more than 2 in a day, and you're always free to opt out.
I'm not sure where you're getting this about the return policy. If it doesn't work for you, we'll refund you. Very simple. Searching our records, it doesn't look like you ever reached out to us about it though, so we would have no way to know you were having an issue.

I'm sorry for the inconvenience. As you may have heard the Canadian Union of Postal Workers have been on strike for several weeks, and this is delaying all Canadian shipment.

Did you reach out to support?
What kind of drives do you have? The device works with SATA and IDE. If it's not reading them, it could be a compatibility issue or possibly a defective device. Either way we can troubleshoot it.
The "YouTube Review" is from a channel that calls people "SCAM!!!" For clickbait to monetize their followers.
If we were not legit we wouldn't make things right for everyone who has an issue. The problem is people like to use reviews instead of actually engaging with support to figure out the issue. This is a technical device. Sometimes it needs support. That's what we're here for.

Wasted effort.
Big reason for ordering this is to get files off a hard drive that was not operating correctly. Could not get it to boot up when it was in the computer. Still will not boot up when hooked up to your product. Money wasted.

Dear Neil,
I'm sorry for the frustration. The device is used to retrieve data from working drives from old or damaged computers. It can't help with damaged or corrupted drives. This is spelled out on the product page.
Nevertheless, we're happy to refund you for your trouble.
I would recommend a software solution like File Restore Plus. If that doesn't work, you may have to take the drive in to a technician.
Zilkee is a Horrible Company!
There was no iPhone 8 App available for the Photo Stick. Technical support was no help. I am trying to get a refund

You already left us a review, which I responded to, and am awaiting your reply.
The device has minimum compatibility requirements. You're trying to use it on an outdated OS.
How does that make us a "horrible company" exactly?
I'm happy to refund you, but is really mystifies me how you think your old OS not working with the app is justification for trying to damage the company's reputation, thereby endangering livelihoods.
We are a small business, and we do our best to serve our customers. This kind of thing doesn't help.

I apologize, we're having a lot of issues with deliveries to Mexico. Unfortunately, we have no control once the goods cross the border, as they are taken by local couriers to their final destination. And the last couple weeks we've had multiple issues with local couriers getting products delivered on time.
If we can't get a status update and ETA for the courier within 24 hours, we will re-ship the product to you. Thank you!
Battery Jump Starter
1. I bought the Jumper Starter kit
2. The website showed the complete set
3. When the package came, there was no power adapter. Even the instruction leaflet showed the power adaptor as part of the kit
4. I had to personally go out to buy the power adaptor costing me USD$12. The cost of taking the subway USD$1.50.
5. This is my 2nd item purchase thru your store.. not anymore.

You definitely should have gotten a power adapter with it. Looks like you got an incomplete kit, which is a packing issue, and 100% our fault.

I'm sorry you're having this issue. We've had a lot of delays with packages shipping to Mexico recently. Once they cross the border from the US, we have very little visibility or control. We're still waiting on the local courier to confirm where the package is and the reason for the delay. We will update you as soon as we know.
If the package cannot be delivered shortly we'll send you a full refund.

Lamentamos mucho que estés teniendo este problema. Recientemente hemos tenido muchos retrasos con los paquetes enviados a México. Una vez que cruzan la frontera desde Estados Unidos, tenemos muy poca visibilidad o control. Aún estamos esperando que la empresa de mensajería local nos confirme dónde está el paquete y la razón del retraso. Te actualizaremos tan pronto como tengamos más información.

Hi John, I'm sorry for the frustration!
It sounds like it might be a file compatibility issue. The device can bypass your computer password, since it connects direct to the hard drive. However, if the files themselves are password protected, that's a different story. But it sounds like these aren't password protected files, so it could be a file compatibility issue. We run into that occasionally. We have software we can comp you that will normally solve it if that's the case.
In any case, I've requested your email and order info so we can reach out and make it right. We should be able to resolve the issue, but if not you will of course get a full refund. Thank you!

this just a scam, overpriced converter I brought this for $88.95 earlier this year but only recently had time to use it I had 3 different hard drives all from working computer can't get any data from any of them, at 1st I had a light in it but no light and no data, I did note you only gave 30 refund but under Australian law it has to be 1 year and really only 30 days is that all it would last. not good enough I am willing to send it back for a full refund.

It’s a scam. Little featherweight plastic devise without any usable cables to connect to any hard drive. Definitely doesn’t work to retrieve data from damaged HD as advertised. Device will probably break if you breathe on it. This company should be taken to court and made bankrupt…!

The device comes with cables that allow it to connect to a hard drive and retrieve. It sounds like you may have received a faulty unit. In which case, we're more than happy to replace it.

The primary use case is when someone has a damaged computer with a working hard drive. Perhaps that's the misunderstanding.
