Good car, fast return and wrap up of paperwork
Criastiano did the return, he was polite and signed our yellow copy that everything was ok . The car itself was great comfortable and was driving fine. The only thing at pickup was that the car came with only 1/8 of the tank. The been when you are exxeeding tge speed limit was bit annoying but also usefull 😉

Bad experience with no solution offered

I understand that Portuguese toll roads are managed by the authorities and not by the rental company. However, my concern is not about who operates the toll system, but about the lack of clear information provided to me beforehand.
Before my trip, I was not properly informed about how the toll system works, the automatic device in the vehicle, or the possibility of additional charges and fines. I was only made aware of these details after the issue had already occurred.
This lack of prior information directly contributed to the situation. As a customer, I believe it is the responsibility of the rental company to clearly explain such important aspects in advance, especially when they can lead to extra costs.
Additionally, when I contacted your office immediately after the issue and later visited your office in Alvor in person, no concrete solution or support was offered, which was disappointing.
I appreciate your explanation, but I remain dissatisfied with how this situation was handled.

We are sorry to hear that you felt disappointed with your experience. We would however like to clarify that Portuguese toll roads are operated by the Portuguese authorities and not by rental companies.
As explained during the rental and in our terms and conditions, our vehicles are equipped with an automatic electronic toll device (Via Verde / E-Tolls transponder). This service allows tolls to be registered automatically and charged later according to Portuguese law, including any administrative fees or fines issued by the authorities when applicable.
After your rental had already ended, you informed us regarding toll-related notifications, issue you had with the authorities.
Unfortunately, rental companies cannot cancel or interfere with government toll procedures or penalties. Nevertheless, we did provide the information available and explained how the Portuguese toll system works.
We always aim to assist our customers with professionalism and transparency, and we regret that this situation created frustration during your trip.

Having rented in Portugal historically …
Having rented in Portugal historically with rentals that are linked to booking with the flight we wanted a rental that was based in the airport . Having read reviews of other well known companies that were based on the airport we were getting nervous ,so started to research , and found your company to have excellent reviews . You didn't disappoint, we had the car within half an hour of arriving and the car was immaculate . And exactly what we had booked , on return a week later you took the car back in 10 minutes . And we were refunded the deposit straight away (and the deposit on the card was way lower than everyone else)
We paid a bit more rental with you but can completely recommend that it was worth it for the speed ,the full insurance, the very reasonable second driver cost , the car being what we ordered + automatic. And brilliant location of office .
Plus the staff were lovely and spoke great English . Would use you every time

Excellent car rental experience
It is easy and simple to rent a car with them. We had absolutely no problems. The car was in excellent conditions and they are quite flexible with pick-up and return times. The prices are super affordable, nothing like these big car rental companies, and when it is the moment to return the car they are not picky with anything. As long as you give back a clean and in-same-conditions-vehicle you will have no problems. Overall it is a 10/10 experience. And for Portugal was the right choice to rent a car!

Avoid this company. Our vacation was completely ruined. We didn't get our deposit back.
The company charged my entire deposit (€1,250) on the day of the rental instead of simply blocking it as a guarantee. I also purchased comprehensive insurance, but later discovered it wasn't actually "full coverage" due to hidden exclusions in the contract that I wasn't properly aware of.
Later, after starting the parked car, a very strong odor suddenly appeared. The car was taken away, and I was then accused of damaging the clutch. I'm an experienced driver of manual transmission cars, so these accusations came as a complete shock.
Communication with the company was extremely difficult. We were treated rudely, our questions were ignored, they yelled at us, hung up on us, and didn't respond. The company is very small and only operates in Faro, which created even more problems for us.
Because of this situation, we had to completely change our travel plans, rebook hotels, and drive from Lisbon back to Faro to get another car.
Now they're refusing to refund our money and seem to want to repair the car at our expense.
The company's handling of this situation appears unfair and opaque. I'm now forced to continue litigating with my bank, consumer protection agencies, and the courts.

We are sorry to hear that you feel dissatisfied with your experience. However, we must clarify several incorrect statements made in your review.
The insurance purchased does not cover damages caused by misuse, burn clutch or negligence, which is clearly stated in the rental terms and conditions provided before and during collection of the vehicle.
After several days of rental, while you were in Cascais, you reported a very strong burning smell and smoke coming from the vehicle. Due to the seriousness of the situation, roadside assistance was immediately activated and the vehicle was taken to an independent garage for inspection.
The independent garage confirmed in its technical report that the clutch was burned due to improper use/driving of the vehicle and that the clutch must be replaced. This type of damage is not considered a mechanical failure but driver-related damage.
Despite the situation, assistance was provided and a replacement solution was arranged through roadside assistance according to the procedures applicable to the rental contract.
We reject the accusation that information was hidden or that no support was given. All communication, insurance conditions, deposits, and exclusions are presented in the rental documentation.
