responded to a LinkedIn ad that looked legitimate. After contacting them, I received an email explaining that membership was a one-time $299 fee—no monthly charges, lifetime access. It sounded too good to be true, and that should have been my red flag.
Their website looked professional, and I even researched their listed officers—successful, real women featured in credible media. That gave me confidence. Since I have a book coming out and offer online services, I saw it as an affordable marketing opportunity.
Two months later, they called to help me set up my member page, assuring me there were no extra costs. Then came the unauthorized charges: $100, $199, $499, and $248—all flagged by my bank as fraudulent.
Today, I canceled my credit card. The good news? The trick’s on them—I still have access, but they can’t charge, email, or call me again. Blocked and done.
Transportation and Logistics
Constant charges; $459.99 on Sept 09, 2025, $399.00 June 26, 2025, $249 May 15, 2025. I thought there was only a one-time lifetime fee of $249 USD. I had to cancel my credit card as the Mastercard company could not guarantee that this vendor cannot continue to bill my card even if I received a new card.
This company is a scam
This company is a scam. They will tell you, it is one time payment . They kept taking money from my account without informing or for any services. They take any amount from your my account Ranging from £34 to £350. They are organised crime. The US government should look into them or online police should check they out. My bank has
changed my card more than 5 time. They kept on taken money. They have
the most sofisticated software that they use. I have stop putting money in that account that they have. They are fraud stars. Pls do not give your bank details to them at anytime.
The place is a scam and just wants to…
The place is a scam and just wants to lure women into giving credit card information so they can sell you nothing. I was given a position as a "consultant" and was let go after asking questions about how the membership and how they handle questions. If you want to have unauthorized charges on your bank statement, feel free to join
Never give out credit card numbers!
I am so glad as a professional accountant that refuses to give their credit card number over the phone that I did my due diligence and searched for WWA and the reviews. Seems to me I dodged a bullet on this one and did not give any credit card information to them. Let this be a lesson to all DO NOT just assume that an organization or company has your best interest at heart. These telemarketers get paid when you pay. So never give out your money till you research who they are and get all the details you can!
Total scam and fraudulent organization
After paying $264 for the annual membership, and providing all the information they requested, they never fulfilled their promise of adding my business profile to the online directory. Then, only 5 months later they attempted to charge my card an additional $264, and would not respond to any of my inquiries and support requests. I ended up having to file a fraud case with my bank to get the refund. They still to this day have not responded to any of my emails, or my request to cancel my membership. Their contact phone number is a joke and just routes you to an email address.
This operation is a complete scam
This operation is a complete scam - women business owners beware. They prey upon new business owners with the promise of all of these services and I did not hear from anyone in over a month. They had my email wrong, but did not contact me. They will state that you will have a five year membership for $149, then another rep calls to bill for another $149. I said that I do not want to be charge for anything else. They just did an unauthorized charge to my credit card for 459, this was never mentioned or authorized. THIS IS A SCAM and you do not need anything of this as a female business owner. I have requested a refund and they said that they would refund...no response.
I have since received my refund of 459.00. I have frozen this account, I am hoping that undisclosed charges will never happen again.
SCAM
SCAM. Imagine my surprise when my account was charged over $600 without my consent. I paid for the membership, and received emails about setting up my profile and account. I never heard back, and have no way to login to their site to unsubscribe or remove my credit card information. I've submitted a claim through my bank that this is a fraudulent charge.
Update: my bank confirmed it was a fraudulent charge. Don't get caught up in this fake organization.
I had the same experience as Marissa…
I had the same experience as Marissa above. I thought it all sounded great and gave my card. It sounded legit and then after I provided my card she stated that her team received a message that I needed to authorize the purchase and I would receive a text from my credit card company. I then realized it was a SCAM. I told her I didn't receive the text. They tried several times and AMEX blocked them from receiving it and sent me a Fraud Alert. I cancelled the credit card. They didn't reach out for a while and then just recently sent me another email. Are you still thinking about it? I said no and you are scamming people.
Scam and spam
These clowns keep on bombarding me with emails despite the fact they’re based in the USA and I’m in the uk. Furthermore the emails specify that I had a recent interview with this shady organisation and congratulated me on getting accepted, which is nonsense as I’ve spoken to nobody regarding any of this. It’s obvious that this is yet another scam to target good people out of their money, don’t fall for it. I certainly am not and the only place these emails go now is in my spam folder.
So fed up of scammers. Are there any genuine people out there anymore?
This is a SCAM
This is a SCAM. I received a call this morning. The woman "Kayanna" sounded professional when I first answered the phone, and she said she wanted to ask me a "few" questions. After 15 minutes and after she asked about 10 questions, she declared me "accepted for membership." Then she offered two options: lifetime at $299 or 5 years at $199. I told her that I was in the car and, if she sent something to review via email, I would get back to her. Then I googled the organization and saw many complaints. I don't even remember expressing interest in this organization although I might have clicked something I saw on Linked In. Be careful who you talk to! I should have asked "Kayanna" more questions at the beginning.
It's not all that it presents to be.
The WWA presents themselves as a organization that offers networking opportunities, a sisterhood of global leaders. It does not support this. As a new lifetime member, I expected to log on to the site and find opportunities to connect with other female processionals across the globe, to learn about their experiences and find professional development opportunities. Instead, membership got me access to their site where I have a profile, can see featured members [member of the year], and search for members. In the profile, there is a Perk& Benefits link that takes you to a different site, Lorman, where you can register for a variety of webinars... for a fee. It was an unfortunate waste of my money and time as I see no benefits to membership.
Avoid - Warning: Unauthorized Charges & Impossible to Cancel
I strongly advise others to avoid the Worldwide Women's Association (WWA). I was charged $399 without consent, despite having clearly informed them in 2023 (after I had to dispute the unauthorized charge of $499), I specifically wrote that I do not wish to continue the membership. Even more concerning, the charge in 2025 was processed using a credit card that had been replaced over 18 months earlier, raising serious concerns about how they store and access payment data.
After several follow-ups, they eventually promised a refund, which I only received after opening a formal dispute with my bank (the same day, today). Until then, they ignored or delayed all communication.
It’s also worth noting that there is no way for members to delete their account or cancel their subscription via any user portal. You are entirely dependent on email responses, which are inconsistent and unreliable.
Let this serve as a warning: Any future attempt to charge my card will be considered willful misconduct, and I will not hesitate to pursue legal action under GDPR and U.S. consumer protection laws.
This is not how a legitimate or trustworthy organization should operate.
Scam Rep asking for CC info at end of call
Got a call today from rep, was super excited. Had "interview". I got suspicious when it sounded like she was ending for a timeshare close. She was HIGHLY scripted. I started looking up scams online and heard about their close for the membership costs. I told her I didn't feel comfortable giving my CC information without membership information in writing. She said that to compose the package/e-mail/info, it costs time and money. I said if you want to send me info that I can review, I'll do that first. She gave me the website. I doubled down on the insistence that I will not pay without receiving information first. When I said that she hung up on me. I'm so nervous now though because I talked through my entire professional background and am concerned they'll use that to impersonate me. BEWARE!
If I could score a 0 or -10, I would
If I could score a 0 or -10, I would. This company is so shady and scams people on a daily basis. Pushing sales calls, unauthorized credit card charges, delayed refunds, you name it! Run away if you ever hear from them!
I got a call today!
I got a call today! She was very friendly. At the end of the interview she asked if I wanted to join for 5 years subscription or lifetime, because I felt good about the whole interview, I said I would sign up for lifetime, then she mentioned the discount if I chose to use a master card, I told her that I didn’t have one. She said visa was fine. Then my intuition kicked in and told me to slow down. I told her that I didn’t have my business card on me, as I was at work, she replied that “all professionals always carry their cc!” Alarm went off!!! Then I told her to follow up with an email and a payment link or to call back after 5 PM. She declined following up through email stating that I needed to pay first, but she agreed to call after 5.
So I started investigating and found myself here :)
please be careful out there and don’t ever make any payment on a first
incoming and unsolicited call.

I received a phone call and asked that I had inquired about them, which I really dont recall.
I received a phone call and asked that they call me the next day, which they did. It all sounds good on paper and might be a ligament networking organization but the pressure to sign up and pay money "right now, today" was a turn off. As we continued to talk the membership price went down. My intuition is that something is amiss.

Really bad experience-SCAM
I had a similar experience to all the other women that have written reviews. The conversation went well up until the end asking for a Mastercard. I said, I have a call can I call you back. The representative said No and hung up on me. This is so shady, I don't know how they are in business.
They called me at 9 AM when my brain is…
They called me at 9 AM when my brain is still slow and went through an interview, then approved my profile: "Congratulations! You are eligible to become a member.." Then, they asked if I wanted to sign up for the 5-year or the lifetime membership and offered a discount if I used a Mastercard. That was where I got suspicious... I'm glad I ended the conversation without sharing any more information. There must be a way to STOP these people!
