If I could give them no star I would
If I could give them no star I would, I was promised delivery via UPS on the 4th August, it is now the 7th and still no sign of my package.
UPS is not a fit for purpose, the only way that companies are going to stop using this company is with shoppers voting with their wallets.. Just stop buying from companies who use UPS for their shipping.
I’d give UPS zero stars if I could.
I’d give UPS zero stars if I could.
Their drivers appear to find it easier to dump parcels in reception or with the concierge rather than actually delivering them to my address, even when I am at home and I work from home so i'm in 90% of the time.
And for this reason I have explicitly instructed the concierge not to accept parcels on my behalf unless I have told them that I will be out.
Most recently, I ordered an item that required a signature. The concierge did not sign for it, yet the UPS driver recorded a signature anyway. Falsifying a signature to make an undelivered parcel appear properly received is completely unacceptable and potentially very serious.
When I complained, the managers were just as bad. Rather than addressing the driver’s conduct, they defended it. I was initially threatened that, if the driver returned, he would take the parcel back and return it to the sender. When I said that was fine and I would simply request a refund, they suddenly changed their position and told me I had to collect it from reception and that this was the end of the matter.
For the avoidance of doubt, I will not be collecting the parcel. It has not been delivered to me as the intended recipient, nor was it accepted by anyone I authorised. I expect UPS to collect it from where its driver left it and return it to the sender.
I did not nominate the concierge as an authorised recipient, and I did not designate reception as a safe place. Under UK consumer law, leaving an item with someone who has not been identified or authorised by the customer does not automatically amount to proper delivery to the customer. Inventing or forging a signature certainly does not make it acceptable.
I understand that UPS drivers have a large number of parcels to deliver and that leaving everything at reception may be quicker. However, delivering parcels to the correct recipient is quite literally the service UPS is being paid to provide. A signature-required service should offer greater security and accountability, not allow a driver to bypass delivery and create a false record.
The driver’s behaviour was unacceptable, but management’s dismissive and contradictory response made the situation even worse. UPS should investigate the signature, collect and return the parcel, correct its delivery practices, and stop treating communal reception areas as dumping grounds for parcels without customers’ permission.
Avoid UPS wherever possible.
There are companies that require a one time code that can not be falsified, I think all delivery companies should adopt this.
They lied to me twice
They lied to me twice i think they teach their employees to lie. I called them saying i wont be able to pick it up at the specified date on my email they said they will extend it but after a day the pick up date didnt update on the app neither did i receive an email so i had to call again the following week because weekends i couldn’t reach them and the supposed pick up date is the date after. I told them that the pick up date wasn’t updated they said they will escalate the issue as priority and i will receive an email shortly with the updated pick up date. You guessed it, I didn't receive anything. Companies should stop sending packages with USP I cant believe they are still relevant.
UPS lied twice about trying to make…
UPS lied twice about trying to make delivery attempts to the address on the package. No human is available on any contact number to try and trace the package, They don’t even call the contact phone number listed about the package. It’s all very dodgy
Disgusting service
Disgusting service . Email today to say my package would be delivered from ups around 2.15. next thing. Email to say I have to go to some pick up point to collect the parcel. After waiting in all morning I am very disappointed that no attempt to deliver the parcel was made but dumped at some collections point that I have to go to now . Exceptionally poor service.
Another disappointing experience with…
Another disappointing experience with UPS.
I was given three different delivery times throughout the same day, only for my parcel to never arrive. The tracking updates were completely unreliable, making it impossible to plan my day.
To make matters worse, when I tried to contact customer service, I was stuck in an endless automated loop telling me I'd entered an invalid phone number—even though it was correct. There seemed to be no way to speak to an actual person or get any help.
Unfortunately, this isn't a one-off incident. It's become a regular occurrence with UPS. Time and time again, they fail to deliver on the service they promise. Poor communication, inaccurate tracking, and an inaccessible customer support system make for an incredibly frustrating experience.
Failure after failure after failure. I would avoid UPS whenever there's an alternative.
Repeated fake delivery updates and useless customer service
This has easily been the worst delivery experience I’ve had. My parcel was originally due on 15 July, but UPS repeatedly marked it “Out for Delivery” and then quietly moved the date to the next day without actually attempting delivery.
They first claimed the driver needed a security code, even though no security code exists for my building. I contacted support to explain this and gave them alternative delivery options. On Friday, I even waited outside the building for around eight hours so there could be no access issue, but the parcel still never arrived.
After several calls and supposed “escalations,” it was redirected to a UPS Access Point that was closed on the scheduled delivery day. It has continued showing “Out for Delivery” without reaching the shop.
Customer service was scripted, dismissive and unable to provide any useful information or contact the driver. More than a week later, the parcel is still not delivered despite already being in Dublin. I would avoid UPS Ireland whenever possible.
I’m lost for words with this company
I’m lost for words with this company. Waiting on a furniture delivery since last week, lied to by an Indian who speaks broken English, that the courier couldn’t gain access to my home as he needed a security code, total lies as I have a regular house with no gates. Had my children wait in again for another 2 days as they assured me it would be delivered. After about 10 more calls, a guy called Peter told me there was no postcode and that’s why it wasn’t delivered, more lies as the sender did have my postcode. He assured me I’d have it Friday, still nothing. I rang back and spoke to Jack who told me it wouldn’t be delivered until next week as it takes 2 days to update a postcode! More lies. He told me a manager would ring me within the hour, of course nobody rang me. They are just programmed to lie and by reading other comments it seems the drivers needing a security code seems to be regular speel they give to try fob you off. Had the same issue on 2 occasions last year, drivers who apparently made about 6 attempted deliveries to my home (even though I waited in) lying saying they were attempting delivery. On the 2 occasions my packages were both returned to the uk and Germany. I plan on showing up at your door after the weekend and if my table is not there, ups can have the guards remove me. Ridiculous excuse for a delivery…
Ridiculous excuse for a delivery company. Email to say they'll deliver, next day email to say they don't have the package and will reschedule, email a new date, doesn't suit so reschedule, get email confirming reschedule date, email night before to say it'll be delivered today, nothing from them today so check tracking, still at warehouse. Ring them, they'll escalate it and ring me shortly.... Crickets!
Ring back, tell me to give it another hour, that my case has been escalated (hate to see how long it takes to review a case that hasn't been escalated) Phonelines now closed, no item, no idea where it is.
Lord knows when I'll get my delivery, would never use them myself and am not at the stage that any company using them would make me look elsewhere for what im buying.
Horrible company!
I don’t know why some componies or people still use this corrier… it is the worst corrier. Many times my parcel have been lost and delayed with them. If I only knew my parcel is being handed with this corrier I would have not ordered the item. Horrible company!
Bad Service
Terrible communication and service. Avoid if possible. A vendor sent me packages in work using UPS and it has been an ordeal trying to get the package delivered.
A homing pigeon would do a better…
A homing pigeon would do a better job.... stuck in the dark ages... do not put the customer first at all!!
Worst service in Ireland by far
Worst service in Ireland by far. I paid quite a lot more for next day delivery. They sent my package half way across the country then told me my address was wrong and tried to ship it back overseas. I "corrected" my address and they then spent several days shipping it the other wrong side of the country. Absolutely awful company.
AI bot answering customer service calls
A package was shipped to us that was not ours. When we tried to get in contact with customer service to get it collected, the only person answering the phone was an AI Bot. This is disgraceful. The bot was very unhelpful and did not understand what we were trying to fix. I suggest you employ real humans that would have easily sorted this problem than some incompetent AI bot.
UPS Ireland customer service= Kafka's The Trial
We refused a damaged parcel on delivery in early March. The packaging was rubbish, even the driver said it should never have been accepted that way by UPS. Then he delivered it a second time!! We refused again. That should've meant a straightforward €78.29 customs refund. Instead it became a part-time job.
What followed was a Kafkaesque hellscape of bouncing emails, several of them to addresses UPS themselves gave us, including one that would auto-reply saying it wasn't even monitored. Multiple case numbers were opened along the way, with no apparent link between them, so each new department started from scratch. The same facts explained again and again to people who clearly hadn't read the last email.
A credit note eventually turned up in May (not an actual refund). We phoned it in, as instructed. Were told it'd be refunded. It wasn't. Cue another round of "we'll escalate this within 24 hours", repeated at least twice, followed by silence both times.
Phone "support" deserves its own paragraph: long holds, dodgy lines, and agents who were hard to understand and harder to get a straight answer from.
The good news: a UPS rep finally rang and emailed on 13 June to confirm the refund. So it got there in the end, just three and a half months later than it should've.
Leaving this review in case anyone else is stuck in the same loop and wondering if it's just them. It isn't.
Avoid avoid avoid
Avoid avoid avoid, waiting for my package 2 weeks, keep stating there are different issues address is wrong when it's not, phone number not provided when it was, failed attempt to deliver, not true
UPS Service is just TERRIBLE
UPS Service is just TERRIBLE. Got a Parcel to be shipped from Madrid to Dublin. When it reached Dublin and was at its final steps for Delivery, it was sent back to France for no reason.
They don't give you answers, they know nothing about it and the energy you spent trying to find out where your parcel is doesn't worth the money you pay.
Choose DHL, Fedex, whatever, but AVOID UPS.
The worst of all of them
The worst of all of them. Lies, lies and more lies. Lied about attempting delivery. Lied about it being out for delivery. Never had a good experience with this shower of morons. The phone agents are AI bots! Trust me.. ask them a weird question and the just keep saying hello, hello, hello. It’s absolutely ridiculous.
Worst company delivery ever
Worst company delivery ever, I only used this twice and in both times I had headaches, the Delivery Service and Customer Service are helpless, hopefully I'll never need it again.
