I live alone. I wanted to have a meter installed to reduce my expenses. It wasn't possible to install one, but a solution was found nonetheless. I am grateful for that.

The person I spoke to was pleasant, respectful, and personable.
However the “solution” doesn’t really makes sense! I use very little water and shall be leaving the country for at least six months, probably more, when no water will be used as no one will be living there. My account is already in credit and yet direct debits will continue to be taken, building up a credit balance which will ultimately have to be refunded to me, when the meter is finally read again, several months down the line. That is surely daft and will leave me out of funds, undeservedly for quite a time. The person I spoke to clearly has no power to use his discretion and do what is sensible.

All pretty easy although I think the system was down but didn’t mean anything to us or hinder us in anyway so all good

Great Team! Initial confusion, as another Team had previously visited 3 days' earlier to resolve blockage and log in further remedial work to be done. Possibly something wasn't updated on UU's work schedule; as this 2nd Team thought they were booked in to clear a blockage, not do any remedial work. Worked quickly, tidily and efficiently and still did a thorough inspection to ensure all was clear. Gave very useful and helpful demonstration on layout of pipework and useful updated advice on changes to responsibility for same. Both Teams were pleasantly friendly, efficient and informative.

Have a leak on my stop tap but the plumber couldn’t find the tap outside my property to turn off the water. The plumber phoned United Utilities as I had been stuck with no water for 3 days. A lovely man came out last night in the dark and persisted until he found the grid which was covered with loose tarmac. He was so friendly, helpful, genuinely concerned and put me at ease. So refreshing to deal with a kind human being….10 out of 10. Thank you.

Very professional in getting the job done , which was the man hole , waiting for the other job to be done , which I have two drains , they are going to make the two drains into one drain into the main drain because I have old drain system which look forward to getting by united utilities
