Not impressed

Not impressed, ordered a dress as I’m a size 12 on top and a 10 on the bottom and wanted something that addressed this. I would not wear what was delivered. The dress was as wide as a tent from the bust down, totally unflattering. What a waste of money

Misleading ‘Perfect Fit’ Claim/No Understanding of Flattering Design

I had an extremely disappointing experience with Hockerty / Sumissura and would strongly caution anyone considering ordering custom trousers from them.

I ordered four pairs of pants costing over CHF 500 total, based on the company’s heavy marketing around “perfect fit” and customization. What I received were honestly some of the least flattering trousers I have ever tried on.

The core issue was not simple sizing. The actual DESIGN and cut were poor for my body shape. The platform offers endless customization options, but there seems to be very little understanding of how different fabric choices, cuts, rises, pleats, tapering, and proportions work together on real human bodies. Instead of creating a flattering, tailored garment, the result felt awkward, bulky, and badly proportioned.

I wrote detailed explanations describing the design flaws and why the trousers looked wrong. Those comments were largely ignored. The only solution repeatedly offered was to visit a tailor.

That completely contradicts the entire appeal of ordering “custom fit” clothing online in the first place.

Busy people order online because they do NOT want to spend additional time researching tailors, making appointments, traveling across town, attending fittings, and managing alteration logistics themselves. If the solution to a failed “perfect fit” product is essentially “go find a tailor to fix it,” then what exactly did I pay the company for?

That process was another disaster.

I was given tailoring partner options, but I had to research contact information myself. Two never even responded to my emails. I eventually visited a tailor in Regensdorf who did not acknowledge the company or their reimbursement procedure. I paid out of pocket and then had to send multiple follow-up emails just to get reimbursed.

And after all that, the tailoring itself was unsuccessful (as anticipated). Tightening poorly designed trousers does not suddenly create a flattering piece of clothing. The underlying design still looked wrong.

So in the end:

I wasted over CHF 500
The company reportedly spent hundreds more on alterations.
I still have four unwearable pairs of pants that I have never worn once.

What frustrated me most was the complete lack of ownership or meaningful customer care. At one point I even suggested sending the trousers back as a learning experience for the company because the designs were so poor. No refund was offered. I was instead told perhaps I could “donate” them.

This experience made me feel that the company’s tailoring and fit process was not sufficiently refined despite the aggressive “perfect fit guaranteed” marketing.

Communication was also unnecessarily frustrating. All communication went through the same generic company email address, making the process feel impersonal, disorganized, and exhausting.

Extremely dissatisfied. I would never order from this company again.

I would also be interested to know whether other customers had similar experiences regarding the company’s “perfect fit” claims, alteration process, or refund handling.

As you explained, this was not simply about minor sizing adjustments, but about how the trousers actually looked, felt, and complemented your body shape overall. I truly understand your frustration in feeling that the core concerns you raised were not fully understood or addressed in the way you expected.

I’m also very sorry for the additional inconvenience caused by the tailoring process itself, the lack of responsiveness from some partners, the reimbursement complications, and the feeling that you were left managing everything on your own. That is understandably frustrating, especially when the purpose of made-to-measure clothing should be to make life easier, not more stressful.

Most importantly, I’m sorry that our communication and overall handling of the situation left you feeling unsupported and unheard. That is never the experience we want anyone to have with our company.

I have personally requested your contact details internally because I would truly appreciate the opportunity to speak with you directly and review your case properly myself. Your feedback is incredibly valuable, and I would like to better understand everything that happened and see how we can approach this situation more thoughtfully.

I am very sorry for the concern this caused you. We do send order and shipping updates throughout the process, but I also understand that these messages can sometimes be missed, filtered into spam, or simply not provide enough reassurance when the tracking itself has not yet updated.

I have reviewed your case personally, and I can confirm that your order was already in transit at the time of your review. In some international shipments, tracking updates only become active once the parcel reaches the destination country and receives its first local carrier scan, although I fully understand how confusing and frustrating that can feel from the customer side.

Customer Service is Top Notch

I used Hockerty previously for a custom trench coat and it came out perfectly so I decided to try the more challenging dress shirts/pants combo. I ordered before the chinese new year to ensure I would get the shirts in time for an event. However, I got a notice that due to a delay in the pants, the shirts wouldn't be there on time. I reached out to the customer service folks and they split the shipment and got my shirts to me before my event. When the pants came, they didn't fit correctly - I'm stupidly shaped. I went back to customer service again and they gave me additional help getting the measurements right and asked me to take pictures during the process to inform their tailors. Just got the remade products and they are absolutely perfect. These guys are now OFFICIALLY my go to for everything. Who knows - maybe I'll try shoes next. Quality is top notch. Service wouldn't quit till everything was perfect. I'd give them 6 stars if I could.

Hinzu kommt: Hosenbund zu hoch angesetzt und zu weit, obwohl ENGER gemessen wurde, als der tatsächliche Umfang ist. Kosten durch die anfangs aber dann nicht mehr möglichen Änderungen: nochmal 50% des ursprünglichen Preises.

Bei Maßkleidung ist die Passform natürlich einer der wichtigsten Punkte, und wir verstehen gut, dass es enttäuschend ist, wenn noch Anpassungen notwendig sind. Auch wenn kleinere Retuschen bei individuell gefertigten Kleidungsstücken manchmal erforderlich sein können, sollte das Ergebnis selbstverständlich so nah wie möglich an Ihren Erwartungen liegen.

Mensonge sur le remboursement de retouches pourtant indispensables !!!

Robe arrivée trop longue et taille épaisse, un vrai sac ! alors que j'avais parfaitement renseigné mes mesures. Donc retouches obligatoires. Chez une couturière recommandée par la marque dans mon secteur. Avec engagement contractuel dans les Conditions générales de me rembourser 25 % du total vêtement "ajusté". Donc EN BON FRANCAIS, chacun l'aura compris ainsi, du coût de la robe plus des réparations. Dans mon cas 89 € la robe + 40 € de retouches vu le boulot = 129 € ! Un quart de 129 € = 32,25 €. Eh bien comme ces gens sont des menteurs, je n'ai récupéré que 25 % de la facture de la robe seule soit 22,25 € (au lieu de 32,25 €).
Suite à ma réclamation, un répondant (au joli prénom de Jesus) m'avait d'abord expliqué que les 2 étapes étaient traitées indépendamment, ce qui valait promesse d'abondement, toujours en bon français, mais ensuite on (Alice, un pseudo d'IA) m'a dit d'aller me faire voir et qu'il n'y avait pas d'erreur.
Je conseille donc à cette entreprise d'ouvrir un dictionnaire et d'apprendre le sens des mots...en français. Evidemment comme on a affaire à des chinois, en mandarin "ajusté" doit avoir un sens très comment dire...éloigné de notre propre compréhension.
On appelle ça une publicité de nature à induire en erreur.
INUTILE DE ME REPONDRE, je ne lis pas les arguties des mauvais commerçants. Faites plutôt rédiger des avis de complaisance par vos amis et des officines spécialisées pour contrebalancer les vraies appréciations négatives.
Et revoyez votre organisation et votre management indigent, ce ne sera pas du luxe.

the quality is awful

the quality is awful, yes it's "tailored" and "custom" but the quality is less than Amazon thin! It's embarrassing how bad this is! Just choose a local tailor!

Für mich hat das Konzept gar nicht…

Für mich hat das Konzept der Online massgeschneiderten Kleidung gar nicht funktioniert. Es sieht einfach hässlich aus, die abgefragten Masse stimmen schon, aber alles andere nicht. Und die Rückgabe gestaltet sich als äusserst kompliziert, wenn überhaupt möglich. Bin noch dabei, das herauszufinden. Die Support-Seite funktioniert nicht, der Chat-Bot ebenso nicht. Seid vorsichtig!

es tut mir sehr leid zu lesen, dass das Konzept der online maßgeschneiderten Kleidung für dich nicht funktioniert hat und dass du mit dem Ergebnis so unzufrieden bist. Gerade bei Maßkleidung ist es besonders enttäuschend, wenn die Passform oder der Gesamteindruck nicht den Erwartungen entspricht.

Ich bedauere außerdem sehr, dass du Schwierigkeiten hattest, über unsere Support-Seite oder den Chat-Bot Hilfe zu erhalten. Das sollte natürlich nicht passieren, und ich verstehe vollkommen, dass dies die Situation für dich noch frustrierender gemacht hat.
