poor corporate resolution team

They called and said they'd resolve the issue. I got three calls from an Anna at corporate resolutions. No phone number. I go into an abyss of prompts from an AI phone number. Said they would send an email too. No emails in inbox or junk mail. Another fail by squaretrade/Allstate.

Walmart protection by Allstate

At first, I contacted them by phone, but unfortunately the person who assisted me was not able to solve my problem. Later, I was contacted via email and my experience completely changed. The team reached out with great professionalism, willingness to help, and genuine kindness.

They carefully reviewed my case, stayed in communication, and guided me through the process step by step. In the end, they resolved my problem and approved a replacement for my TV.

I truly appreciate the support and the way they handled everything after the first inconvenience. Thank you for making things right and for the excellent customer service.

I have had several different plans and…

I have had several different plans and and have not had any help with them I buy things and never get the correct replacement or help needed this is a joke. I pay for protection to be able to get what I pay for. This has not been the case

Frequent changes to repair appts

We are having difficulty getting out refrigerator repaired. Allstate's partner Goodman Home solutions cancelled our appointment at the last minute, after sending a confirmation of today’s appt. Now we must wait 8 days for another appointment. This is after our earlier appt didn’t occur because the technician didn’t ring the doorbell while my wife and I were both home. Not to mention, the company changes scheduled appts to different hours right before the appt, so we must keep the entire day free when scheduling an appt with them. We opened our repair request 35 days ago.

Very dissapointed.

Not good. We hav used other companies for purchase protection plans and always had good results… until we got one from Allstate. It seems like they purposely make things just inconvenient enough that getting service will cost just about as much as the program might benefit you if it did, in fact, pay out. They want me to run around town trying to get a little tool fixed, pay for the diagnostic fees, be without the tool for who know how long while it sits in the shop and then drive all the way back to the shop to pick it up again after the repair -which may very well exceed the original cost of the tool and if it does, I get stuck with the extra cost.

A good protection plan would take into consideration how unreasonable all of this is. If I had a choice between plans, I’d always prefer to go with another company. I’ve used Asurion multiple times with absolutely no issues like this. There is a huge difference between these two companies. I’ll keep using Asurion as much as possible but I’ll avoid Allstate from now on.

The claims process was very straightforward, and Allstate got back to me quickly. Their guidance was clear and easy to follow, which made all the difference. I hope I never end up face‑down on the pavement again, but if I do, I’ll be relieved to have this insurance—and I’ll be buying it again.

They are horrible I paid for 3 years and just because they had my wrong email address they would not help me file a claim. Save you money they suck for phone insurance. You can’t even speak to anyone it’s all through text messages. Horrible co and worst customer service ever

Don't expect coverage if you file a claim

We purchased a leather sectional from Wayfair and opted to also purchase a five year protection plan from squaretrade. After less than a year, the leather started to bubble, pull up apart at the seams, and tear. I filed a claim and it was denied because they said that leather was not covered. I am still baffled that we paid this much for a sectional that starting falling apart so soon after purchasing it! I appealed the claim denial but was denied again. As is often the case with anything related to Allstate, your a claim will be denied. I will never do business with this company again and will continue to steer people away from them for as long as I am alive.

Unauthorized Salvage, Broken Promises, and Breach of "Like Kind" Contract


They lied about my coverage and stripped my laptop for parts

I am writing this to warn everyone about the predatory tactics used by Allstate/SquareTrade. I sent in my high-end OLED laptop for repair under their "5-day" guarantee. They held it for 23 days, declared it "unrepairable," and then did the unthinkable: they stripped my machine for salvage and sent me back ONLY the SSD.

I gave them explicit written instructions twice to return my physical hardware in full. I did not consent to their settlement and wanted my laptop back. They ignored my legal right to my own property, chopped my laptop for parts, and sent me an SSD to hide the evidence of the device's condition.

To make it worse, a supervisor promised me that if I accepted a $99 policy reimbursement, my coverage would remain ACTIVE. I agreed based on that promise. Instead, they took the money, sent the check, and immediately terminated my policy on my dashboard. They lied to my face to trick me into a policy termination.

Now, they are trying to force a settlement that is hundreds of dollars below the actual replacement cost for a high-end OLED machine. They stole my hardware, lied about my coverage, and are lowballing the payout. I have already filed formal evidence logs with the Texas TDLR and the BBB. If you value your electronics, stay far away from this company.

Save your money

Awful experience. Purchased an extended warranty on our television TV ended up malfunctioning after the manufacturer warranty. Was told by allstate/square trade that they would not honor the warranty on their end yet because it should still be under the manufacturer warranty and sent me back to Vizio who told me the TV was no longer under manufacturer warranty and I had to go back to square trade slash Allstate. Still getting the runaround from both companies and still have not received any compensation or replacement for the TV that's malfunctioning.

If I could give them a negative rating…

If I could give them a negative rating I would. Been several months of tangling with Allstate. 3 appointments with service provider (2 completely no-show with zero communication (after they rescheduled the day before for the second half of the day rather than the scheduled first half) and one very late showing. The one time they showed, they refused to service saying the dryer was fine and I pointed to evidence that it wasn't and they left without any further discussion saying that Allstate would be in touch. I waited two months, no communication. F/u and I had to start the process all over for their error and I spent the entire day waiting for a service provider that did not show and did not communicate their status. I used to have Whirlpool and Abt service plans and they were fantastic. Allstate is horrible. Rude agents, rude service providers and zero communication and I have a dryer that is ruining clothes and nobody will do anything about it. I wouldn't buy their plan if I knew the product would fail in the first day (because it literally is not worth the paper its written on and because of all the lost time I've invested in the repair process. So I am at the point of having to scrap a 3400 purchase or keep a broken dryer that functions but occasionally ruins clothes.

Horrible service from Sqaretrade

I purchased patio furniture at Walmart and included the Allstate Protection Plan. A few months later the furniture started to deteriorate. During the filing of the claim and I accidentally entered the wrong month for the date that I noticed the damage. I attempted to correct this typo many times but I could not get anywhere with them. I’ve been working on this issue with them for five months. On the last communication they told me their decision was final. Absolutely the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. Please don’t purchase this insurance from this company ever!

I would never recommend buying this…

I would never recommend buying this protection plan when buying furniture. I have been dealing with them for months trying to get my father’s lift chair repaired or replaced. Finally after 2 months we received the new parts and the frame is bent and cannot be straightened. So here we are again and all I have been able to get from them is they have escalated my claim and I will hear in 1 to 2 business days. That never happens. When you find a good number for them, keep it, they are very hard to reach by phone. They prefer email. Save your money and your time. You will get frustrated!

Outstanding customer service

Claim Denied

I bought a recliner chair from Best Buy and an extended warranty for 2 yrs. It is good until Nov 2026 and I had a heavy duty spring fall off the chair. I tired to email right away for help and sent the email and they kept saying they couldn't find my plan. Finally after many emails back forth and verifying my info they said my email was wrong. I told them my email and that the store person entered it in their system wrong then. It was missing a letter. So they finally fix and change the email and then I get an email that everything is saved in my account so I thought they were going to take care and send me Info when they were coming. I didn't receive anything so I emailed again today and they decline my claim saying it had to be filed in 30 days yet I did originally file a few days after it happened and they replied a few days later and we went back and forth until now. All I need is the spring put back on. I'm a single 65 yr old woman and can not fix it. I'm not asking for anything but to put the spring back on the chair. I'm so disappointed in AllState!!
