The 3 men where nice and polite they don’t left you go to the storage place with them, I thought they were nice people
I went to the storage place today
To find they have damaged my exercise bike/machine and scratched up all my mirror, I won’t be using them again

When I booked the move I figured I could get it done in a hour @ a rate of $189.00. The representative never suggested that I take the two hour rate @$250. The movers were two hours later than the time quoted. But that didn't seem to matter to them, as a hour is a hour; like I didn't have anything better to do. They were rushed, and I guess I didn't under the terms of the agreement as they put a timeline of moving my furniture on the truck 35 mins, and 25 mins travel to my designated drop-off; arrived at 4:30 pm departed at 5:05 p.m and charged me an dditional $50, and now that I think about why did In owe you any extra! I did not get my full hour of moving and was also assisting the movers. I rented a storage unit with the understanding that all my items would be in there. They literally only moved half of my items, leaving me to remove the rest and make alternative arrangements. I had used this company before and was so impressed in 2018 that I tipped the movers $40 dollars. i.e, they took my furniture apart & reassembled it in my new place. These two guys had to do nothing, I was helping them load the truck to stay under what I thought was a hour, but was really 35 min & pimped me out of another $50 dollars & missed work, waiting around on em two hours late! my first experience was lovely, I was always bragging about that initial experience and was telling others as well. I feel like I was "ROBBED" thinking of contacting "Cointact 6" to get a refund! But I will definitely lodging a complaint with the BBB. I should have listened to my friends and just rented a Uhaul and paid friends, cause for $250 for 35 minutes I felt raped. I used Speedy movers for a move from Auckland to Taupo. Great service overall, just a minor delay in the start time but after speaking with the manager he offered a reasonable discount and I was happy with it. The movers were very efficient and I will definitely recommend them for future moves. :)

I hired speedy movers to move my mum and dad. The movers nz arrived on time and worked very quickly. Lots of protective equipment used for our furniture. Movers were very professional, super friendly and the move was completed quickly and smoothly.

10/10 would refer to friends and family!

Had the pleasure of being moved by Speedy Movers, The booking process was very easy all done over the phone with a estimate also given of the likely time it would take, the contract was sent through with all the information anyone would ever need for their move and a check up call was made 1 day prior to confirm everything. Gus and David were the boys who moved me, they turned up on time with a bigger truck than was booked because I told them a day before that I needed to be out by midday for the cleaners. They wrapped all the furniture in blankets and shrink wrap, something I haven't seen done before. At the end they gave me an invoice and requested payment. Would definitely use these guys company again. Kapai boys.

Don't trust the advertisement. Of course this looks like some private person owing it and come with a truck and two guys. At the time of payment they say their machine is broken, so you pay them with cash and no receipt. They promise to send you one but it is your money gone. Don't know if these guys wanted some tip and their trick worked out.

BEWARE - we used this company to move house. I don't know how trustpilot is giving them a 3-star rating when there are 3 other 1-star reviews that basically sum up this company.
They use a lovely lady as a customer service front and flash website to suck you in and then strive to rip you off and do a very sub-par job following that.
This company should not be in business, stay far, far away.

RIP OFF
Most dishonest service whose use of a very polite English-speaking woman to front the company was a deliberate ploy to attract honest, hardworking people like myself. In preparation for the arrival of the removal truck, I had already moved several items, boxes were packed & sealed, neatly stacked, the only heavy items were the fridge & washing machine as I was disposing of the very old lounge suit, bed & draws put very much to the side. 1 of the 2 men sent appeared new & lost having to be guided by the senior person present. The job should have taken no more than 1 hour took 2 hrs even with my help to move boxes to the truck. The trip to my new residence was literally straight forward and is approximately a 10min drive, 15minutes max, but somehow these men found the longer way to get there, with more corners too. Returning to my old residence the senior driver discovered he had left an important piece of equipment at my new place which I seriously suspect was deliberate & so moving the furniture for disposal into the truck appeared to very a very arduous task. I was charged for returning to my place for equipment they forgot & to top it all off it was costing me EXCEEDINGLY more than had been calculated by phone. I was given the choice of paying by internet banking [which I had NOT been informed of when I had enquired] & the cash I had in hand was insufficient. I was then informed I had to pay by cash within1 hr or risk paying for every minute the workers wait for the payment. The phone discussions the senior worker had with "who was at base" was NEVER undertaken in English, he would not, did not speak with me & to add insult to injury the workers followed me to the bank in their truck. To the good & honest people out there be warned.

Move was within the same suburb

We were quoted over the phone as well as emailed a quote by SM for 2 hours x 2 men. We knew we could move our stuff within an hour but sought for 2 hours just incase. NOT ONCE did they tell us the minimum charge was 3 hours until our furniture was in their truck and they would not remove our things without pay.
Ajmal Safraz(?) (Speedy Movers boss) then told us we should have known as no moving company would take a job less than 3 hours even though our last moving company did just that.

After confirming multiple times we only needed 2 men, he called a day before our move asking if we wanted a third man for $70p/h, which we declined. He then called on moving day saying they would be even more late (than the 3 hours they already were) because they would have to drop the 3rd man back to base but we still said no and agreed to 2 men.
3rd man turned up anyway (even after saying no multiple times) and we were charged 3 HOURS FOR 3 MEN FOR A JOB THAT TOOK ONE HOUR

Upon talking to AJ, he told us we should be grateful as he waivered 2x heavy items cost + depot to depot cost. Even though, these costs put together would still have been cheaper than paying for the third unwanted man per hour ($45x2 + Papatoetoe to Manurewa). As we were telling him we shouldn't be paying for the third man because that was a judgement call on his part to send him, he said the move would have taken longer without him so we should be happy- even though we paid up to 3 hours anyway.

The movers themselves were nice but very small- it took 3 of their men to move a small fridge. My partner helped them as we knew they needed it. AJ let me know he shouldn't be helping but they asked again for his help once arriving at our new house so he jumped in. I did let them know their boss said he should not be helping and their reply was "but it's heavy"

All in all, bad experience. Unfortunately we had to pay the full $617 as they kept threatening to take our furniture to storage and we would not have beds to sleep on.

Please be aware the raving reviews for Speedy Movers on Google are for a business in America and not this dodgy company.

These guys are not professional movers, cowboys at best.
I must say their customer service was top notch, however, it wouldn't surprise me if they have outsourced that to virtual assistant who is brilliant.

As far as the moving goes, they are amateurs. We had one very specific, heavy piece of furniture to be moved which they knew about prior to booking. However, on arriving it became very apparent there was no way the two movers they had sent were going to be able to move it. This somehow became our problem and their only solution was for us to pay a whole another crew (two guys at their minimum charge of $119 p/h for 3 hours) to help them. Poor service considering you were told how heavy it was and where it had to be moved from and it took less than 1 hour for all 4 of them to move it. They instead lumped us with an extra $400 to have the extra people help them. When this was disputed at the end (and the invoice conveniently presented prior to the unloading of the truck - their own T&C's state they expect payment at the COMPLETION of the job, not near completion as the manager started to argue) they then refused to unload the remainder of the items until the invoice was paid via bank transfer under the supervision of the manager.
Also, be aware of their stairs policy, they seem to make rules up to add charges on where ever they can. No where in their T&C's does it stipulate what a flight of stairs constitutes. They then tried to claim that because the stairs had a bend in them it was 2 flights at $45 each.
There is a reason this company has no social media/ google presence. I'd say they have a lot of poor feedback. Definitely do not recommend, don't be fooled by their cheaper pricing initially. It doesn't stay that way if they can help it. Go for a professional moving company instead.
