NZ movers were competitive in pricing, that was the best they got.
Secured the custom with an "underestimated" sqft, we receive an email from another member basically stating their estimator underquoted and there may be a "little surplus invoicing", we questioned and asked "how are you sure verses say a incorrectly packed trailer"?
Nz movers relented, we offered to half costings etc, they declined. Result, numerous furniture items damaged.
We sent an email to one Daniel Kull about the damaged items and basically got a reply of "damage is on you if you do not pay the high price insurance", no ownership on NZ movers of the damaged items, we heard one of the "priced" items been dropped by staff.
Driver from Auckland reversed and damaged our fence, played very loud music the whole time at our new address.
NZ movers are a poorly organized business who refuse to accept their own failings, engage at your risk of damaged furniture in the least.

Thank you so much, Dave, Logan and Karama from Van lines Palmerston North. You were friendly, very efficient and made the move as easy as it could be.

NZ Van Lines provided an exceptionally professional and seamless service. I was overseas while the team handled the shipment of my belongings, and what could have been an incredibly stressful time was, in fact, completely worry-free. Their communication throughout the entire process was excellent, and I truly felt they went above and beyond to ensure everything arrived safely. Highly recommended for anyone moving internationally!

Great service from Rhys in the office and then excellent communication and work by Ali, Marc, Jim and Rob at our house. It was raining at times on both days but the guys worked through that and went above and beyond to get everything into the container. Many thanks.

Olive and Taneiln were fantastic. Super friendly and helped move all of the boxes into the house. No damage to any items and really quick and helpful service throughout from the entire team.

I have moved 4 times with NZ Van Lines around NZ and the guys from NZ Van Lines Invercargill have been the best by far. Darren, Logan, Steven and Shakhan were very efficient and professional.

Quoted $10,000 to move locally in Whangarei only 500 metres down the road. Ridiculous won’t ever consider using them again that’s for certain

Darren and Steven M were prompt, efficient and speedy. They were very knowledgeable and had some very handy hints for shifting difficult pieces of furniture. We really appreciated both their muscle power and brain power when dealing with difficult to access areas. We highly recommend their service and wish them a very Merry Christmas.

We've had fantastic service with NZ van lines from the day they packed and picked up our furniture to them storing it for nearly 11 months and then delivering it. A special mention to Shane, Artem and Tyler, they were fantastic, delivery went smoothly and no damages. Would definitely recommend NZ Van Lines.

The communication was great and they were on time at both ends from Whangarei to near Timaru.Kathy Amos was great for the organisation at the Whangarei end. And Scott, Jim and Levi were fantastic at the Timaru end right on time and very efficient and good fun. To be fair there were a couple of things with minor damage but not significant.
I would highly recomment NZ Van Lines .
It was fantastic to have Kathy come and assess the house move rather than having to do a video tour .It takes a lot of stress away from a very stressful time.

Do not use to move to Australia. Many items were broken, other items were missing. They state they will take apart and put items back together. They do not do this at. Overall the worst experience, staty clear. They are not professional and have no care once they have their money.

The team were great. Joe, Corey and Zac. No damages. The job was efficiently done. Joe is an expert in making everything fit in the truck.

They took "7 hours" to basically move our chattels (2 bedroom and an office plus a garage) a distance of 2k. Several items we badly scratched. A lot of items were standing out on the road and footpath while one man tried to pack all the items into the long truck. The lady helper was superb and was very conscious of her responsibility. We even wrote to the Manager afterwards and he just didn't reply! We really didn't want to write a review like this, but we felt quite strongly, especially about the "7 HOURS"! It was the third - AND FINAL TIME - we will ever use them.

This was an absolute calamity! Damage to items that are not insurable, with the company having completely no idea, and actually a disregard for personal items entrusted to their care.

We needed to complain to the disputes tribunal in NZ to get some sort of resolution here, where the referee has decided, and I quote.

"I have found that the services were not provided with reasonable care and skill"
"They did not follow the instructions regarding priority items"
"I find the lack of care in transporting items..."

Just do not believe what this company will tell you and if you do have an issue, do not fear making a complaint to the disputes tribunal... the cost of making a complaint is low and this company should be held to account when poor service is provided (especially considering the premium cost).

The move was in November, but only just now we have a resolution.

I regret not choosing one of the other companies.

If you want your irreplaceable items damages, by all means use NZ Van Lines
