Impossible to register the number. Not to be recommended at any price.
Gave up and booked direct afternoon tea, sitting having had tea,the manager of Wivenhoe Hotel is also trying to register the gift.
Looks as though we shall have to pay for the tea ourselves …… what a disgrace.
Hardly any choice in choosing an establishment for the said tea, have travelled miles for the nightmare.
Does not deserve one star, but unable to leave a review without it. This is a Red letter day venue.

70th Birthday Voucher.Although we had activated the voucher
Although we had activated the voucher, due to an accident we had to cancel with the Fairhaven restaurant at Lytham St Anne, we tried to speak to someone from Redletter to extend to another time until I was well, but couldn’t do that because it was activated, so the voucher which was a 70th birthday present was not used. Very disappointed

It could be so simple…
Lovely idea, but the whole process has been a ball ache. I don’t like how you can buy a voucher to give to someone but they can’t use any discount codes that they’re offering with it. So the whole giving a voucher is pointless. Just buy the actual gift/experience instead.
I used half my voucher and then couldn’t seem to use the other half. Found out later it’s suppose to come through as another voucher once I’ve used email… which I didn’t get.
I’ve spent most of the time with customer service. I always think the website is crap. Confusing when trying to use vouchers. It could surly be such a simple thing to do.

Very disappointing experience — avoid
Red Letter Days has been one of the most frustrating purchases I’ve ever made.
I originally purchased a weekend hotel voucher for around £180, advertised as giving access to a range of luxury hotels. However, it was only when I actually started trying to book that I discovered the reality: almost every decent hotel had no availability for months ahead.
The hotels that were available were often budget options in places such as Wigan — hotels that could have been booked independently for considerably less than the price of the voucher. The whole point of buying the voucher was to have a choice of quality hotels, but in reality the choice was extremely limited.
We contacted Red Letter Days through their online chat and spent *three hours* trying to resolve the issue. Eventually, after a great deal of persistence, they agreed to provide us with a credit voucher. Getting an actual refund seemed completely out of the question.
Unfortunately, the replacement voucher hasn't been much better. I'm now trying to book a weekend spa day for two, and once again I'm finding that the vast majority of available options are only offered Monday–Thursday. That's simply not practical for people who work Monday to Friday.
Ill need to book another spa day just to get over the process of booking this one.
My experience so far has been *poor availability, inflated prices, frustrating customer service and partners that don't seem to have been carefully selected with the customer experience in mind.*
A voucher is only worthwhile if you can actually use it for the experiences advertised. In my experience, that has been anything but straightforward.
Avoid. I certainly won't be buying from Red Letter Days again.

First the spa , that l booked did do it anymore , than trying to get through to red letter was l joke no phone number ? Only on line it took a few days to to get through it took a few mouths to get the answer but got through the hotel did do it and got book in which had a great day .

Diabolical customer service re online…
Diabolical customer service re online chat.around 10 chats before I could speak to a supervisor re making a booking.
The system took my voucher and extra payment, then the system froze. It took weeks to resolve. When I able to book the original choice was remived so had then to wait for the refund for the extra payment I made.
This company needs to pull their socks up greatly!
I would never use this company yo buy a voucher.
Pathetic service. Customer advisors need re-trained as they had no idea of the facts or how to handle customer queries/complaints!
