Warm welcome from superb staff. Hotel and grounds a truly relaxing environment.
Not cheap but no extras and quality brands. Food and entetainment excellent
Could do with more disabled parking.

We absolutely love Potters Resort! We go at least two - three times a year! There is so much to do to keep us adults and the kids occupied. The food is fab, the entertainment is second to none and it’s definitely our favourite staycation in the UK! The staff are always friendly and so helpful. Mark, Jack, Brian, Jo and the other entertainment staff are brilliant. Honestly we cannot reccomend potters enough! 🤩🤩🤩

Greeted with a smile, entertainment first class all day long, food wonderful, hot chocolates delicious, I could go on .

Firstly I would like to say that if there had been a 10 star option to rate this review I would have chosen it!

I brought my family to Potters over the Easter break to celebrate my 70th birthday, and we all had such a wonderful time.
All the staff were amazing, the food was delicious with such a great choice at every meal. Also everywhere was clean.

We were all so impressed by the constantly varied activities going on for all 8 of us to enjoy, with every age group benefitting, ( from my youngest granddaughter aged 4 to myself ).
My eldest granddaughter ( 8 ) even cried when it was time to leave because she didn’t want to leave as she had enjoyed it so much.

Every member of staff we encountered, from reception, the entertainment team, the dining room waitresses, bar staff and the cleaning staff, were all exceptionally helpful, pleasant and polite at all times.
This shows obvious contentment among the staff which is reflected in their working ethic by giving 100% service to your guests.

We were guests to Potters for the first time approx 40 years ago and loved it then, so it was extra special to celebrate this milestone birthday with two further generations of our family.

We will definitely be back😊

Everything

Potters is ALWAYS amazing but this time ALL the staff went above and beyond to keep us safe after the outbreak of norovirus. Everyone mucked in doing jobs not normally theirs. As usual the food was second to none, entertainment was outstanding, accomodation very comfortable and things to do are great fun. Love everything about Potters.

Everything about Potters was amazing. The meals the staff, the entertainment was fantastic. We've already booked for next year at Hopton and a week in November at Five Lakes.

Always great, the 2 times we have come we have had a great time the food is good. The activities are great there is alot to choose from something for everyone.

We stayed in one of the penthouses for the first time and it was even better than we expected - so large and spacious with a lovely view. As usual all the staff were friendly and welcoming - nothing is too much trouble. We love Potters!

First time at Hopton, been to 5 Lakes a few times, and so much was the same and so much of it was quite different. 5 Lakes is a much more compact site, with everything under one roof. I liked the Orangerie at 5 Lakes and really missed those quiet afternoons in there with the jigsaw and a coffee. I also liked the theatre at 5 lakes better.
Hopton is a lot bigger and more spread out, so you have to walk to the craft room, but on the other hand it is a specially dedicated craft room and isn’t used for anything else. I suppose if you asked 100 people to choose their favourite things from both sites, you would have a 100 different answers!

Another great weekend at Hopton all the staff work very hard to make you time there great. All the shows are great and can’t wait to see the new one. Keep up the great work. Until next time thanks everyone

In 2024 we went to 5 lakes and we found the Reception very patronising and sending us in the wrong direction for activities. Today, we were packed to try Hopton. A text yesterday which when we responded the telephone lines were down till 9am. This was the 1st communication since we booked. My husband rang after 9am to be informed that they were deep cleaning, having still a few customers not well. Why, if the resort knew from half term about this issue, have they waited to the last 24 hours to inform us? The call center apologised, but that is not good enough. If we hadn't contacted them this morning and travelled for 3 hours we may have not been informed on arrival. Very disappointed and a ruined weekend away. On ringing, my husband was asked for an unknown reference number. That just proves that they have never communicated.

I have stayed at both of the Potters resorts. I can only say fantastic in every sense. Friendly staff, excellent accommodation, very modern and clean, staff very caring and friendly, activities, spoilt for choice. Although Hopton on Sea is the place to be for bowls enthusiasts.
Now for the meals, unbeatable quality eat as much as you like if your that way inclined. four meals a day. I have not met anyone who attempts the 21;00 meal.
Entertainment excellent top quality. Essentially you can be on the go from morning to bedtime.

Good weather, was a bonus for our yearly family weekend break. Now 13 in total, all in our party had a superb time. The children who range in age from 17-5 had plenty to do at all times and we all enjoyed the vey good food and all inclusive drinks. Already booked for next year.

We visit Potters Five Lakes at least twice in a year, every aspect is first class. We have stayed both in the central hotel and one of the garden rooms in the village, both extremely comfortable and well appointed to include a safe, TV, fridge and tea/coffee making facilities. Whenever I am recommending to friends I describe the food as restaurant quality, the entertainment as West End quality and the staff are all fantastic, nothing is too much trouble and always with a smile. As for the all inclusive drinks system, it's brilliant, no struggling at a bar to get served, you take your turn to give your table number and drinks order to a member of staff with a tablet, within a very short time your drinks, coffee or tea is brought to your table. There is always something to do if you wish to take part or you can just relax and read if you wish.
My only gripe is that the three night weekend always ends too quickly 😊

Great food, Great entertainment, Great staff whether its Five Lakes or Hopton

We had a very relaxing time. The staff are friendly and always helpful. The food is of a high quality with good choices. The rooms are clean and well equipped.
All in all a good place for a break.

Had a great 4 day break. Could not fault the food, drinks and activities but the shows were fantastic. Village room was okay apart from the toilet being wedged in the corner between two walls and heating rad also step from patio too high (design faults) not sure if legal ?

from walking in the door to leaving every member of staff could not do enough to make your stay the best you could have the entertainment was the best and all inclusive means all inclusive except for the very large prize bingo or the 1 pound a go horse or dog racing the activities all day are included when you leave you just cant wait for your next visit
