This website is so shit it stopped working all the time especially when I need to use it the most. Couldn't even study for my final.

I purchased The Life Span: Human Development for Helpinf Professionals 5th Edition from another source. I am attending courses and the purchased the ebook for our use, but to access tutorials I have to pay a monthly $8.(+) to access???

DON'T BUY PEARSON PLUS. They trick you into thinking you're applying for a 2 month subscription and then you end up paying for 6 months if you don't cancel within the first 14 days.

I’ve spent hours mastering algebra and correctly solving problems, only to lose points because Pearson didn't accept a valid alternative format, like typing a square root differently or leaving an answer unsimplified in a technically correct way.
There’s no partial credit, no recognition of correct steps, and no AI-based understanding of close-but-correct answers. It's a system that punishes learning instead of rewarding it.
In 2025, with the technology available, there's no excuse for Pearson not to implement more intelligent grading tools. AI can easily assess whether a student understands a concept, even if fothe rmatting is slightly off. Why are we being marked wrong for details that don’t reflect our comprehension?
Students aren’t failing because they don’t understand the math — they’re failing because the grading engine is rigid, unforgiving, and behind the times.
Fix this. Add AI. Add flexibility. Or risk falling behind companies that listen to students and value learning over formatting.

After reading the other reviews, I can understand why the $130 textbook they published is so cheaply made. They are cheap. They want top dollar for their textbooks, but they invest little money in the product. Upon purchasing a new textbook, I could see the spin immediately upon opening the book. I can tell right away that this will not hold up. When did textbooks become disposable? Textbooks are intended to be used repeatedly as we transition from education to our careers. There is no way this textbook will last. Authors, please don't use this publishing company. They give you a bad name as well.

I only wished that I had looked at this before trying to book. Only one word "useless" please don't waste your money. Very good at taking your money but not very good at delivery. Never been so humiliated in all my life and didn't get what I needed only £160 bill for nothing.

I severely upset with this god forsaken company. I purchased an e textbook for 6 months (one semester at my school) and the textbook has been buggy, and after only 3 months, decided to cancel my subscription after charging me. So i lost access to my textbook and was still charged. I am never using the website again and I'm only using it now because my textbook is required for my class. I would give zero stars if i could and i'd tell everyone, STUDENTS AND TEACHERS ALIKE to not use this website. you are charged for every aspect, and there aren't even bundles for textbooks and related websites - I'm in stats and using statcrunch, which is ANOTHER monthly charge I have to pay.

Corporations should not be involved in testing. Pearson is a corporation. Education is infested with too many corporations. There is no educational validity to testing so much and schools test all the time. The only people benefitted by this are the Pearson executives.

Recently I had appeared ny MS exam online, during verification process, Proctor has found my side pictures are not clear, instead the ask for new pictire, she raised a case and canceled my exam. the Poctors are not having any knowledge of time and manage syste.

The people who programmed the system needs to know that it should grade students grade by their performance on tests and exercises not just grading by the how many times did the students spent on their phone

I am in a CSU Masters program and have had issues with Pearson Education with every single course so far and I'm more than half way through the program. Issues such as not crediting me with completed task and marking them as incomplete, which was fortunately verified and corrected by my Professor, changing my selected answers on video and pod assignments with no way for me to verify with my Professor resulting in negatively affecting my grade, wiping out complete assignment results so I couldn't use them to study for my final exam, and presenting incomplete or completely incorrect examples to follow for the homework assignments, forcing me to use Chat GPT and other online sources to help me follow the correct steps to work out the problem, resulting in many hours wasted trying to work out the problem incorrectly. I am completely frustrated and aggravated with how this is negatively effecting my experience and my grades, not to mention the tens of thousands of dollars I am spending to get a subpar education.

Absolutely terrible. If a teacher/professer ever tells you to get a subscription for a book, say no. I've been paying for my classes book for 3 months and a week, the class is now over, I don't need the book subscription anymore and I CAN'T cancel it. There is literally no option to cancel a subscription, there is only an option to EXTEND it. Absolutely robbery and deception. I'm stuck paying for this book for 5 MORE MONTHS now, when I'm not using it at all.

I can't believe I didn't check Trust Pilot before subscribing to Pearson. It was HORRIBLE! You are committing to paying for 6 months minimum if you miss the 14 day grace window. Secondly, I thought once you're paying a ton of money for a subscription, you get access to all their books. WRONG you pay for just one book! It is a ridiculous their policy. DON'T USE PEARSON! Just buy the book for the same price, and sell it after.

Failed an entire class due to Pearson. First of all the site is horrible, it crashes, lags, spelling errors, badly written questions and if you submit something double check that the file doesn't submit as a blank file, that's if it lets you submit at all.

During my final in an Excel class, I had finished the 2 exams before the time was up but thanks to Pearson the first file was submitted as a blank file while the second file wouldn't let me submit due to a submission error, by the time it let me submit the second file the time was over. Due to the exam being worth 45% of my grade, I ended up failing the class. I've never written a bad review before but this site truly earns it with how badly it runs.

I travel a lot. I always end up waiting at Pearson for personnel. Today it is a missing gate agent. Last week it was missing ground crew. Before that, inadequate number of people working security. This airport is terribly understaffed and it shows.

Peasons site is an absolute nightmare to deal with, the site can crash at a whim, it can loose your account details, and when you contact their customer support, they will blame everything but their own system.

Trying to get files for exams off their site, and they were saying the account was not recognised. Despite working the day before, they tried to claim the fault was with our schools firewall, which was stopping the authentication process.
IT department checked and no changes had been made on our end, and we could still access the site, inspite of them claiming our firewall was blocking all access.

Even when IT spoke to them directly, they tried to make the same excuses, and would panic when told they were actually speaking to our IT team, and had checked that nothing was blocked on our end.

Account miraculously started working a few minutes after the call ended, almost as if they finally pulled their thumbs out and did their job once they were forced to deal with someone who could call their lies out and get them to do their job.
